Internet connection problem !

Friends,

I am using HTC Touch. i ve installed gprs settings for vodafon india. internet is working very well. no problem in that. but when i setup a mail like yahoo or gmail at (start>messaging> outlook mail> xyz@gmail.com) . Setting is done. i can send and receive mails through wi fi , so mail setup is ok. BUT when i send and receive through our pre installed gprs settings it is not working. Message given check the internet connectivty. while through this setting i can exlore any web site through opera or internet explorer.

Any suggestion to solve this ? u ll help me a lot. as i want to set up a scheduler for mail checking and everywhere wifi is not available. my mail id is nishantmehta9@gmail.com.

I think I have a similar problem. I am able to connect with the gprs/edge, but when I go to my gmail, it alway comes up with an error "The page connot be found, Check the name and try again.". This is very fustrating. I hope somebody on this board can help me out. Thanks.

it has nothing to do with cel.. it is to do with gprs connection. india there r two types. full gprs with which u can connect to pc and the one(wap) that is only for phone. u can sync outlook email only with full gprs and not the other(wap).

ask ur provider for full gprs details and check rates too.
