SMS via WiFi on WinMo?

Are there any applications/services (note, not websites) that would allow me to send SMS messages both ways over WiFi? I have a few places I visit regularly with little to no signal and I would like to be able to continue to exchange SMS messages over a WiFi connection on my HTC Touch Pro. Extra points if it integrates with my today screen, contacts list, or system notifications.

Just use your email address and send messages to an sms address. I.E. #@vtext.com

Yes but I have to know their carrier and will they be able to reply?

Yes. Just ask them what carriers they use.

Now if only I could get Windows Live Hotmail to play a notification sound when a new e-mail is received. :(

You can.

Go to: Settings - Notifications - Messaging: New email message

Click Play Sound and choose what you want.
