I like the idea of a box around the typed numbers. Also, could you make sure that redial and call history work in it?

yeah they will work, only downside to this dialer is the smartdial fix only shows one line at a time.. but it does work ;)

but its the only dialer i have found that supports enough features and supports full skinning

yeah, good point about the box. the box would be partially see through, enough to kind of see the background.. ill upload a screenie to show you what i am thinking

i like them all but i wanted to ask what dialer are u basing it off of.. bcuz i just skinned the black s2a dialer and the pressed and incall buttons where hard to skin so i was wondering if skinning ur dialers would be as hard. also do they support s2a?? vga/qvga ??

yeah agreed i think i will do a box aruond numbers, also easier to see in daylight (higher contrast)

along the way it got modded to have larger dialpad, i might look into smaller dialpad again to have more smartdialers than one visible as it is now.. but i kind of prefer larger keys to having more smartdials in view

but my wince cab manager expired.. and my desktop crashed
so i am waiting for a network card to come in the mail so i can use the rc build of win7 (it wont work with the card i have now as it is too old - ive tried :D) coming out soon and then.. i will get to work again ;)

if you mean in the buttons, wont happen.. simply because any more transprency will make the dialer impossible to see anywhere other than in the dark/inside

I must say if redial is only 1 number at a time so we have bigger #'s, I don't mind. Could you make a blue/black combo dialer also? I tend to like the darker color themes and would want my dialer to contrast that much. Also, will it work in portrait and landscape?

a black dialer with only Numbers present would be nice :) will it have support for VGA WVGA QVGA WQVGA ...both ur palm and normal version should have box to make it more clear ...try to support only solid background so everyone can choose....have look at jdume dialer qvga http://forum.ppcgeeks.com/showthread.php?t=65503

Please make sure these skin support smart dialing, just a request. The skins are looking amazing, just if smartdial is missing, i find it hard to use my phone dialer.

Man, these look amazing. In terms of both attractiveness and usability, the Manila skins are best - I prefer transparency used sparingly, with simple backgrounds if at all, and high-contrast is best. I really like what you've taken from the Pre's UI, though, and these skins look as sleek, polished, and professional than anything put out by Microsoft or HTC.

Great job!

Oh, and I'm not a big fan of the Calibri. If I remember correctly, the pre screenshots have a crisper, almost geometric font, which seemed to go much better.

I agree. I love the pre skin, but it would probably be better in a different color. It could be orange translucent, or like he said, black and white. That would be pretty stylish.
