This is a replacement for the default Titanium CClock, the way that it should have been.

My WM phone died on me and this has forced me put the development on hold. If you're a programmer you can download the source code below and continue developing this project.

This is shaping up to be great. I know you saw my other post about calendar integration (like next appt, etc), how about the chances of the clock also displaying the time your next alarm is set for? even if it was small. not a big deal, just some random ideas... keep up the good work

-Challenge: It is possible to ad a "seconds" hand to the analog clock but it would be process intensive.

I guess this would make your phone run really slow.. Even when you just install WM6.5 with the blizz skin on some phones, they already run slow. If you then want to add the analog clock with a "seconds" hand, your phone would run really really slow... It could be good for some phones, but if you really want to do it, you should add a checkbox in the settings menu you are probably going to create for people who don't need the "seconds" hand or for whom it would make there phone run too slow...

Hi,

do u have any eta on your release?

there's one last challenge I'm trying to resolve and posted for some help on the Mortscript Examples Accumulation thread but no one has been able to help. So I'll just have to disable the theme switching options and pack it up for an early release before the end of the week.

That's because Omnia is WQVGA which hasn't yet been implemented.

Should be ok to port it for now, I'm mainly concentrating on solving technical issues at the moment. There won't be updates to the .cpr files until these are resolved.

thanks for the plugin!
It's work for me. but my sceen is QVGA. so, i must modify .cpr file. But when stretch image, the center of clock (intersection of hour hand and minute hand) is not exactly.
And could you tell me how to have space on the top of Titanium (above CAnalogClock plugin)? My Titanium don't have that space, so don't set clock above as your screen image.
Thanks!

Yeah, MortScipt 4.2 is installed.

I checked with CHome Editor and found CAnalogClock is enabled.

Fantastic job rpereira - this is a very nice bit of kit! It works beautifully on my Touch HD, although installing to storage card breaks the installed shortcuts - small matter though.

For anyone missing the usual shortcuts around the clock - the link on the right softkey and the link to clock and alarms when you touch the clock panel, these can both be configured via Showaco's CHome Editor by setting the appropriate values against Page 1 of the Plugin.

Maybe try manually disabling and re-enabling Windows Default in the Today settings.

here's an important piece of information about the clock layers:

Clock Background
Clock Hours Hand
Clock Minutes Hand
Clock Glass Effect

All of the source .png files for these are exactly the same size, even if they look smaller when compared. that said, you have to make sure that the .cpr lines that call these layers have the exact same size, the default clock size is 182 i think, if you want to make the clock smaller you have to change all of the above to something like 100.

Thanks to all of you testers out there, this will most definitely help figure out the bugs in this complex plugin. I may be moving this away from MortScript and into the .net CF instead, we'll see how that goes, hopefully optimal code.:D

Can you explain what needs to be done. Not sure what to add to get this to work.....

To add a link to the Clock & Alarms application via a tap on the Analgue Clock Plugin and to configure the right hand soft key when the Analogue Clock plugin is selected:
Fire up CHome Editor
Menu-Manually Edit Item Values
Select CAnalogueClock
Select 'Page 1' from the left hand list
Select 'ACTIONURL' from the list on the right and enter '\windows\clock.exe into the top box
Tap 'Save to Registry' and acknowledge the prompt
If you have done it correctly the Clock and Alarms should appear when you tap on the Analgue Clock Bar in Titanium - note that you must tap the selection bar, bot the clock or other icons
Scroll down the box on the right until you get to SK2Text and enter the text you want to appear by the right hand soft key in the box at the top, e.g. 'Comm Mgr'
Tap 'Save to Registry' and acknowledge the prompt
Select 'SK2URL' from the list on the right and in the top box enter the path to the application you want to start via the right soft key, e.g. 'CommManager.exe'
Tap 'Save to Registry' and acknowledge the prompt
Tap the left soft key to go back to the main screen
I'm not certain this is essential, but just to be safe, tap 'Save order' and acknowledge the prompt
You can now tap the right soft key to exit
Titanium should refresh and your changes should be in place

hehe, now you know why this took so much work, those clock hands are a pain in the ass to make, once I make the theme switching options available I will distribute the fireworks source .png's so to make it easier for people to make their own, or even recycle mines but with differnet colors.

it is possible but without the animation. I'm sure as the project matures someone will come up with a tf3d theme. ;)

Many thanks for theese, everything its o.k:D

I think it's because of the extra-larger panel sizes from WM7 project. Somebody posted a fix somewhere in the previous pages of this thread.

Next release is almost ready with 12H (am/pm) support, much faster and really really cool stuff!

The big red X showing up anywhere is typical of Titanium not being able to find the path to an image file that is being declared in the .cpr. is your TitaniumWeather working properly? I'm asking because where that big red X is, your current temperature icon should be showing.

lol the weather icon showing is the very same one that's selected in TitaniumWeather, so check your TitaniumWeather options and see if you've got a different icon set available in the options, once you change that in TWeather Options, CAnalogClock should refresh itself with the new icon.

Regarding the Military time, that's already been fixed in the upcoming 0.5 beta, but it's not out yet :D , I'm working on adding a few more things before release, also the wqvga, qvga portion will be included in this new release.

Hi,

I installed Zard's QVGA cab and everything works very nicely, BUT there is 1 small bug: there is a difference of 1 hour between the analog clock and the digital clock!!! Israel is now on DST and for some strange reason, the digital clock shows the correct time but the analog shows the standard time (GMT+2) and not DST time (GMT+3). Any idea what I have to change to get them both to show the PDA's set time?

Edit: I waited 3 minutes till the hour changed and it was midnight and SURPRISE!!!!, the analog clock jumped forward an hour and now both clocks are correct! I have no idea why this happened but it sure seems like a bug to me. Anyway, now it is OK but maybe it should be looked into.

I have a request:
When i set the CAnalogClock panel as first, the clocks and date gets cut off, and i never get to see it. When i set the panel lower, then the clocks, text and date cover up the upper 2 panels, blocking their view.
Would it be possible to shift clocks, date and text down to fit the most possible into the panel?

I have a request:
When i set the CAnalogClock panel as first, the clocks and date gets cut off, and i never get to see it. When i set the panel lower, then the clocks, text and date cover up the upper 2 panels, blocking their view.
Would it be possible to shift clocks, date and text down to fit the most possible into the panel?

What screen res are you on? The idea of the analog and digital clocks being so high above is so that we can add lots of other useful stuff (such as the battery meter, calendar, bluetooth, etc.) in the actual panel. Could you post a screenshot? i think instead of moving the clocks down, it would be best to resize them to properly fit your screen.

sneak preview of the next version, yes that's 12h time format, and yes that's a fully functional battery meter ;) no release date yet, I have lots to do in order to release a quality product.

Could you post a screenshot? Also, what version of TitaniumWeather are you running? in order to have the weather info show you'll need to have it installed prior to installing this plugin. :p

Could you post a screenshot? Also, what version of TitaniumWeather are you running? in order to have the weather info show you'll need to have it installed prior to installing this plugin. :p

Sorry I was completely daft :o didn't wait for Titanium Weather to refresh - all good here.

Wonderful app!

This is coming along great! Any ideas if you'll be able to support calendar appts/tasks, this way you can see them without going to the actual calendar panel? Battery meter is a great idea, nice!

Also, b/c someone is going to ask within the next few posts, 12hr am/pm time is not yet supported! But will be in the next beta, which should be out soon! There's like a post asking about this on literally every page, at least once!

If the clock and panel starts resizing, disable Titanium in the Today settings, then re-enable. That also keeps popping up a lot it seems.

rpereira,

Strange thing happened to me. A few posts back, I created the QVGA cab for 0.4b. At that time, I was able to have Comm Manager on the right softkey. Since yesterday, the right softkey won't appear anymore. Even manually editing the registry didn't help either. Damn strange.

BTW, any chance that 0.5 beta will include QVGA? If not, I can help out with the QVGA but only if you can give me the link. Of course, I can also do it after you release it. I'll PM you my email.

I tested everything but the installer .cab since my Titanium just wen't kaput and I'll probably have to hard-reset to get it back.

WVGA/VGA/WQVGA/QVGA/QVGA Square
This is a replacement for the default Titanium CClock, with many features including fully skinnable analog and digital clocks. This project is still in development so stay tuned for future updates.

Need help testing and fixing any issues with all layouts :)

Tested in WVGA with Bliss Theme.

Change Log:

0.5 Beta
-Added AM/PM support and 24H/12H clock auto-switching based on system settings.
-Fixed (i think) clock randomly resizing back and forth issue
-Tested everything but the installer cab (my titanium got corrupted and won't start anymore, i guess it's because of all the enbling/disabling and replacing files) don't be scared though.
-Brand new .net compact framework version, faster & stable with new Configuration Options
-New Digital Clock themes and Analog Clock themes options in settings
-Added on tap launch system clock settings
-Added right soft key pointing to Communications Manager (thanks to Gustopher)
-Added second page of the plugin to launch configuration options
-Added Battery and Bluetooth meters
-Changed wifi and bluetooth icons to static, with the Off text when they're on (makes it look better than disappearing and leaving an blank)
-Changed Today and Date text to white
-Fixed white line showing next to digital clock
-reduced size of today's date 1pt since it would get cropped off on thursdays
-Added QVGA Square support (untested)
-Added QVGA support thanks to Celso
-Added WQVGA support thanks to Batistian
-Fixed Landscape in WVGA/VGA
-Changed the folder created in programs, inside the start menu from 'rpereira' to 'utilities' (since you probably already have showaco's apps installed and I don't want to clutter your start menu). :D

0.4 Beta
-Early release cab
-Default Skin only for now
-Integrates with TitaniumWeather
-Wifi Indicator
-Network Indicator
-Need to enable options for themes changing
-Known Issue: Landscape needs to have the clock size reduced, it gets cut off from the top.
-Known Issue: If your clock begins acting funky, that means resizing itself back and forth, fix it by manually disabling and re-enabling Titanium
-Known Issue: If your phone goes into sleep mode for a prolonged period of time, the next time it wakes up CAnalogClock will take about 5 to 8 seconds to update the current time.

Installation Instructions:
-Make you you've got MortScript installed first!
-Download the attached .cab (at the bottom of this post)
-Install the cab and and launch from your start menu > rpereira > CAnalogClock (you only need to do this once, after that is automatic.)

Upgrading from 0.4 Beta
-Go to your \windows\startup folder and delete any reference to CAnalogClock
-Soft Reset
-Uninstall CAnalogClock from the remove programs in the system settings menu.
-Make sure that \program files\rpereira\canalogclock gets completely deleted.
-Make sure that \windows\start menu\programs\rpereira gets completely deleted.
-Install new .cab

It's manual since I did not get a chance to automate this, cause I have to hard reset my phone is acting funky.

Configuring Options:
-You will find the configuration menu under Start > rpereira > AnalogClockOptions , the options are very limited at the moment but will expand as the project grows. Also, page 2 of the clock can be tapped to reach the configuration options.

Important Notes!
-If you are using the Bliss theme, I haven't added support for this plugin yet, it will work but it won't have the little icon and special background like the rest of the items.
-This cab will disable your default clock and will enable CAnalogClock at the top of of your plugin list, that is in order to make it the main clock and to take advantage of the open space.
-This is an early beta and is still missing several features, please test it and send me your feedback.
-If your clock starts to resize itself for no reason, manually disable titanium and re-enable it.

Special Thanks
-Huge thanks to showaco
-Thanks to AppStar for the Themes Installer
-Thanks to everyone following the post and helping out perfecting this ambitious project.

just go into your system settings and set your clock to either h:mm:ss tt for 12h and HH:mm:ss for 24h. I was just forced to set your system to 12h during setup so that the first run wouldn't crash while looking for your settings in case they were blank.

But it displays 12h clock and not 24h... even with 24h set in the WM Clock...

I figured out what was wrong with this one, since wifi takes a few seconds to activate upon boot, i need to check before i attempt to run the get wifi info process on the app. this will be fixed for next update.

-Fixed sub_wifi error showing upon boot
-Added several error control goodies to prevent it from popping up errors
-Fixed issues on QVGA with double weather icons + double temp text
-Fixed default Today text showing as rpereira

-QVGA Layouts still need fix, but this needs to be done by the community as I don't own a QVGA device.

it still looks all not resized ill be testing the whole day so GOGOGO :D

lol it's ok, I didn't really intend to fix the messed up icons in QVGA, we need someone with a QVGA phone to fix them and post the .cpr. I'm focusing on application errors and so on for now until I get the .cpr for qvga.

Hi all,

I get a time free and did a QVGA fix, but I did for the v0.5, still don't checked with the v0.5.1.

I have changed the battery images to better fit the small QVGA screen, so you need to decompress the zip file on the default skins folder of cAnalogue plugin.

I did a condensed page to fit the beautiful Bliss theme.

This is a nice clock plugin, and looks incredibly good on my tilt with Anryl's 21222 full 2 wm6.5 rom. However, is there a way to get the weather icons to align from left to right as it is in titanium weather panel on the glass slider?
When enabled on Analog Clock settings weather only shows 65F and 2 moon in right side of slider. Does all icons along with weekly forcast supposed to cover whole glass slider? Thanks in advance for answer.

Thanks for this It works. However when I change weather icons in titanium weather I get error message from favorite people plugin. I think when you overwrite those files in windows it may intefere. It looks good though. Also can you please share the theme you've got posted in your post? Also when I set my Icons to spil as previewed in your picture only the half moon shows in the slider minus the clouds. Are'nt the clouds suppose to be present also? Thanks in advance.

I'm using customise WM7 layout (qvga) and it mess up the clock display. Spend almost 3 hours just to cramp it in the slider. There's not much of a real estate, but it'll do. Kind of like the huge battery icon. It add character to the messyness of the layout.

Cool, your cpr fixed my problem.

For those who have other plugins, remember to manually edit your own cpr using the numbers from riyazhyder's cpr.

Btw, inside "Utilities" folder, there is a shortcut called "CAnalogClock.lnk". When I have CAnalogClock enabled on Titanium, and upon clicking on "CAnalogClock.lnk", I see the WM cursor started to rotate and rotate for a long time but don't see any screen come up. Don't think this is normal?

When I move over to the next panel, the right softkey shows "Stop CAnalog". When I click on it, I don't see anything happen. Is this normal?

Thanks.

For some reason theres no background(clear image behind non-selected items) on the bliss theme with the newer version of the clock but there was with the older version(.5). Any way to fix this?

This is normal, if you look at the changelog, I removed any support for the Bliss theme in this plugin, since a lot of people were not using the theme and they would get a big red X instead of the clear background. I will actually add support for this plugin in an update to the Bliss theme.

It is possible, but it's only suppossed to display current temp, as space is precios and there's other good stuff we'd like to display on it as well.

I'm using customise WM7 layout (qvga) and it mess up the clock display. Spend almost 3 hours just to cramp it in the slider. There's not much of a real estate, but it'll do. Kind of like the huge battery icon. It add character to the messyness of the layout.

This is great! could you share your WM7 optimized QVGA .cpr ? I will include it in a separate download for users of the WM7 theme.

This is normal. CAnalogClock.ink points to the actual analog clock .exe that does all the work in the background to keep the panel updated. The reason why the shortcut is there is to make it easier to stop it and restart it after making changes (this is done automatically but who know when you may want to stop it lol), helps me a lot in the development process. This also answers the 'Stop' button question which is also there on purpose.

yep when I change my weather icons in titanium it gives me error message An unexpected error has occured in ATPluginUnstaller Select quit and restart the program, or select Details for more information.

This is an error on TitaniumWeather side, for what I can sense by your description the plugin was trying to modify your .cpr and couldn't, either because the .cpr file is read only or it was already open. This happens quite a lot actually, the ATPluginInstaller is a great toold made by AppStar and I think the only thing it's missing is file attribute reset before making changes to the file, I'll contact AppStar about this.

with new beta i have on my scree
n very big picture of weather and batery my resolution is qvga

The zoom in + out issue is fixed by manually disabling and re-enabling windows default.

I think is issue is related to windows refreshing the homescreen, I really need to do more research on what's causing this.

On my Omnia there are the same Layout-Problems.
If i use a QVGA .cpr and rename it to 240x400, Titanium appears just in 320 height.

Nothing big coming anytime soon (unless I figure out how to add World Clock capabilities), but anything released from now on will be bug and layout fixes. There's a couple of other things I want to add but I'll hold off until we get these ironed first.

hi guys,
I checked tonight the fixes I maded and noted that it needs more things to fix, ex. the second page that shows nothing.

My mod works fine only with the BeyondInvisible icons (my favorite) for the weather, this because I did the fixes based on cpr and not on the images.

This can easily fixed using the themes feature, so use your self maded icon set or resize the available icon sets of titannium weather plugin.
I'm using this size for the weather icons: Width="140" Height="110"

I see that other mods are being created, it's amazing! soon we will have lots of themes available:D
