ISO: Titan 1.7.0 [please help~!]

Hi everyone!

Ive dugg and dugg and dugg for the DCD's 1.7.0 ROM.
i need to get this in to update the spl to 2.40

if you have it please PM me or host it somewhere for the sake of others who still have a vx6800.

Why use such and old DCD rom? Sounds like you are trying to brick your phoen with a nongps rom. Use DCD 3.3.4.

I was just following the wikis and instructions and i thought i needed to upgrade the radio and rom before i can get SPL 2.4 to work.
then on to ROM v3.3.4.

Hey Drew!

The info is as follows:

Phone: VX6800
ROM: Stock
RADIO: 1.40.00
Bootloader: N/A (was using SPL 1.2 OLIpro)

I had to get revert everything back last night to get it into working condition.
I was trying to get 3.3.4 on my phone and had everything ready to go until i found out that i needed to get the 1.7.0 rom on first before upgrading the bootloader to 2.4.

I have no idea why you think you need 1.7 first. Just unlock using 2.4 or 2.47(My preference). Then flash radio. Then flash dcd 3.3.4 rom

Cool! I will try that. i just realized that i left my non-HC SD card at home.
i'll have to wait until i get home.

Anyway, i read somewhere while i was getting everything ready and prepped up that i had to get it done this way. I think i was reading someone's post about accidentally bricking it or they got stuck with the boot loader. but i remember reading it more than once that the proper steps was:
stock phone -> SPL1.2 -> 1.4.0 RADIO -> 1.7.0 ROM -> SPL 2.4 -> radio & rom

so thats how i had things planned in my head.

Iive bricked a device once (and only once that was far beyond recovery... and f'ed up a bios flash (a looooong time ago) ) and totally kicked myself for making a rookie mistake. So now, before i tinker, i try to read through the 100s of forum pages to understand what im up against. =)

Step 2: II. Install the correct bootloader

if it is 1.20 then you have the pre-GPS ROM bootloader and must first flash to one of the older ROMs and associated radio to boot into WM, get an ActiveSync connection and then upgrade to 2.40.
