Ok I don't know what's going on but I cannot get the new super user to work. It will work with some apps then I try to install a new root app and when SU pops up just a blank screen. I've wiped my phone dozens of times and tried multiple cards with and without the EXT2 partion. Its driving me insane so I just want to remove it. I tried deleting the apk but that doesn't seem to work. Is there anything else I should delete to completely remove it from my phone?

I'm currently on JF1.5 but it happens to me on all the builds with the new super user.

i'm not the biggest wiz at this. but if you remove su and you have an app that requires it and its not there would the app still be able to function then. and have you tried to remove it thru adb. Have you tried dudes 1.1a yet. I haven't had a problem with that one yet.

you could try overwriting the su program with sh and setuid. remember in a rooted phone, you always have adb as root, so don't be afraid to play around.

I'm running into this too using Cynogen's rom.
On first boot, if i run terminal emulator SU comes up and I can allow it.
Then I would install tons of apps, install a couple root apps like adfree, overclocker etc.
I would reboot then, try to run one of those apps I just installed and bam, SU comes up and it's just a blank screen and nothing happens, ends up force closing.
Anyone know how to fix this?

Enable USB debugging at Settings>Applications>USB Debugging, enjoy superuser.
Next question that could be solved with Search, please?
