View Full Version : [Release] JustStableV2 Build 5 Micro Edition (73+mb FREE storage | 32+MB of FREE RAM)
ivanmmj
15th May 2009, 03:01 AM
Version 2: Changelog:
4MB pagepool - almost 33mb of free RAM
Based off of JustStableV2's Build 5 (unreleased) - Everything updated in JustStableV2 Build 4 also in this build
Based off of 5.2.21048
More of the ULDR partition removed. Now it's COMPLETELY gone.
Still LZX compressed and stripped on non-essentials
Also included: IS versions. (Internet Sharing)
This is a version of JustStable with the following changes:
1. Stripped of ALL non-essential programs. (Including NetCF.)
2. LZX compressed
3. ULDR removed!!! A first for the Herald. This saves around 3MB that is normally used as storage for “windows updates” which are never released. lol
All in all you get:
74+mb FREE of Storage Space!
29-30MB FREE of RAM WITH a 6mb pagepool
Due to the removal of the ULDR, the pagepool CANNOT be changed. (Although, I haven’t tried using the old way of changing the pagepool…)
Get the newest version here. (Click on the JustROMs link.) (http://justkitchen.info/)
Warning: This HAS to be flashed through an SD card.

Let me be the first to say Thank you so much Ivan. This is the micro ROM I've been waiting for. I can't even describe this ROM in words yet. It's an extremely fast installation because it's so clean. With the latest ioLite Manila2D installed, it still runs 22MB of free RAM. This is the best you'll get I assure you with the Herald if you are into the Manila2D thing like myself.
Question: Have you tried using 4MB Pagepool with your JustStable, Ivan? How well did it run? Will the Herald get more free RAM if so?

Yes. I ran fine. I chose 6mb to cover myself from people running huge programs.
Just use a pagepool changer on the NBH file and you can set it to 4mb before you flash it.

Yeah, I tried using a PagePool Changer but it didn't work. It's grey out and you mentioned it on your post prior to my download and attempt to changing it. That is why I'm requesting a 4MB PagePool if possible. But even at 6MB, it's has incredible amount of free RAM for the herald with the latest Manila2D that is a resource hog compared to older versions like in Tran's OTP.

Manila2D has always been a memory hog. ;)
Are you using the newest version of pagepool changer? The first time I did it, it didn't work, the second time, with a different version, it worked.

Thanks Ivan. I downloaded the newer version of PagePool Changer from Sept 08 and it worked. With just Manila2D installed, it's at 26MB! A clean install with JustStable at 4MB PagePool gives 31MB of free RAM. This is the most free storage/ram anybody has ever created for this phone. You are a true asset to this forum and HTC/Micosoft should be paying you if they keep selling the Herald/Wing :) .

Is there a list anywhere that tells the difference between the "full" version and the "micro" version? I know the Micro is JUST what comes with WM6.1, but since I don't know what that is, I'm not sure what's been added for the full version. I guess I could get both and write down a list myself of the differences, but since I'm lazy I figured I'd ask first to see if this had been done anywhere.

Hey Ivan LOVE this ROM... damn you are amazing man mad props to you.
Just one problem... I don't know if it's just me but some programs won't open. I don't get an error or anything. The little busy icon appears then quickly disappears then... nothing. I can't open Advanced Config or Ing Change Font...
I reinstalled Advanced Config and reseted and turned off the phone but... still nothing... Any reason why it wouldn't be working?
EDIT:
Oh haha nevermind I needed to install .net compact framework.

The Micro doesn't have a lot of things.
Amongst them:
QuickMenu
wktasks
.NetCF
The Canvas Dialer
The modified taskbar icons
Mortscript (for the wing versions that use the multibrowser button)
OperaMini
The newer version of IE (which takes more space)
The extended Explorer
The Rhodium Notification Enhancements
The HTC calculator
HTC Home
The keyboard skin
MyCPL
The new Volume Control system
The deactivated Rhodium Menu Enhancement (it's there to keep the notification enhancement working due to dependencies but it itself isn't working.)
The outlook enhancements
GoogleMaps
RandomAccess (the contacts quick alphabetical bar)
more modified icons around the system
Yet more modified icons around the system
Touch Responce (the force feedback)
I think that's all.
And the Payload has been modified to remove the ULDR (update partition which isn't used anyways.)

The ; key should be working if you're using the correct version on your phone (if you have a herald, you're using the herald, if wing, the wing version.)
Is anyone else having this problem?
The MMS and SMS, is anyone else having this problem?

I'm using the wing version for a wing.
like i said, sms works beautiful, i just cant send or receive mms, and the oz .cab won't work. should i use a different arcsoft build for this rom? I'm running spb mobile shell 3.0 and sometimes the shortcuts dont like to work after its been running for a while, but when i select it from the start menu it fails too. uninstalled and reinstalled it 3 times, did a hard reset, installed it on both the phone and sd card, always the same result. it's not super important because i use yahoo and i forward my im's to my phone when i'm not online. but i cant see my friends list that way.
even with this minor issues i'm having, i still love the rom.

I am so stupid for not mentioning this issue in my first post. I installed Network Wizard & Arcsoft 5.0.x version and soon notice I couldn't text neither. I had to install the T-Mobile MMS Config.cab . Search for that .cab file and install it. It worked soon afterwards. You can find that in the iOlite Manila2D thread in the Herald ROM Development. That rom also had this problem.
P.S. - I am sure you can use ConnectionSetup instead of NetworkWizard.

I can't test it without risking wiping out my own storage... Does it even open? Does it give you an error?
EDIT: Either way, I'm updating the Clear Storage on the next version, so don't worry about testing it until then.

Nothing happens after typing 1234 and pressing yes. I tried pressing enter on the qwerty keyboard but nothing. You can input 1,2,3, and 4 in the confirmation box but nothing happens after confirming yes.

It's a Micro version. It won't have anything but the BARE MINIMUM. Internet Sharing is only used by like 1 out of 20 people.
I'll try to make a cab out of it later, though.

In the first page, click on my site. Click on the JustROMs link on the right hand side.
Download the one you want. (Micro Edition in this case.)
Follow the SD flashing guide that I've written down. (Just search for it.)
Make sure you're HardSPL'd.

Try this (http://justkitchen.info/JustCabs/). Download the Internet Sharing and report to whether it works or not. (Some people say it HAS to be cooked in...)

Ah no luck... when I install it and go to Internet Sharing and press connect the connect button flickers to disconnect but instantly goes back to connect and a message appears saying that it tried to dial the number but it couldn't and to check the connection settings...
BUT I found a zip with 2 files (the intshrui.exe and the dll associated with it forgot the name...) and, after uninstalling the one you provided, it actually does connect to the internet but when I plug it in my computer it shows it's connecting but never does :(. Limited or no conectivity...
Ugh sucks... Guess I'll be forced to be using your JustStable then. Nothing's wrong with that one I just love the ridiculous RAM and how NOTHING is on it... cept how Internet Sharing isn't :(.

If you are referring to the OPAL Volume Control, just do a search on it. It took me two minutes to find it yesterday.

Can someone remind me again what are the pros and cons with regards to pagepool? I'm sure I read it at one point or another, but I honestly don't remember at all. Sounds like it's an interim place to store information/memory that will be accessed more frequently, similar to the function of RAM in a computer.

Sounds like it's an interim place to store information/memory that will be accessed more frequently, similar to the function of RAM in a computer.
It's simple. A lower pagepool will give you a slower performance but higher memory(ram). A higher pagepool will run faster but it sacrifices the RAM as an expense. Now most people will say that 6MB PagePool is the best with the Herald. I can't disagree on that but I prefer the 4MB PagePool (slower but more memory). The most common roms you see will be at 6MB these days because it's what most people prefer. The reason is it doesn't sacrifice a lot of memory and gives the best performance with our device. I don't see the difference in 4MB PagePool because Ivan's and TTran's rom were so fast that at 4MB, you couldn't tell. And on top of that, I get the extra RAM. But I'm not saying that all roms changed to a 4MB PagePool will be fast. I have changed some older roms and there was a huge difference in speed. So it depends on the rom you are flashing.
For example, when I first installed Manila2D in JustStable Micro without changing the Pagepool, I had 23MB of ram using the 6MB PagePool at startup. After changing it to 4MB, I'm running at 26MB at startup. This includes some programs like Omap, FingerMenu, and two others. I know I will have at least 8 more programs running at StartUp after I finish installing everything and that extra 3MB of RAM will save me. I do see a slight speed difference though but I'm willing to live with that. It's a herald and not a fuze/raphael no matter how much you want it. Ivan, I believe, has already tuned the heck out of our Herald/Wings and made it the fastest ever with his roms. You can probably ask anybody out there that flashed a good micro/lite rom and then installed the latest Manila2D and I bet they couldn't get over 17MB of free Ram at startup with just Manila2D in their startup folder. That's how nice this rom is.

thnx

It always in on the background in every ROM by default. It's the way it was designed so that it could be used with exchange servers. Search around and you'll find many "fixes" for it. I don't kill it since I use it, so I don't know said "fixes".

25th May 2009, 10:56 AM
There are a few ways to prevent ActiveSync from working. Each method differs and sometimes it's only a temporary fix for some roms. But I've used one of the methods and that method works with JustStable. You should try the following method. Before you start, please make sure the X button really terminates programs when pressed. So use WKTask, QuickMenu, or whatever task manager that will help you terminate ActiveSync for the following method.
Go to Settings
Phone
Time Zones
Uncheck Automatic change time zone and clock and then OK
Reboot
After Reboot, go to ActiveSync
Then Menu
Add Server Source
In E-mail Address, type in fake
Uncheck Attempt to detect Exchange Server Settings automatically
Then Next
Type fake in the Server Address
Uncheck This server requires an encrypted SSL connection.
Press Okay to choosing to sync without a secure connection
Next
Type to following fields: User Name: fake , Password: fake, Domain: Fake
Uncheck save password then Next
Uncheck Contacts, Calendars, E-mail, and Task under Edit Server Settings
Click Finish
Terminate ActiveSync (Very Important)
Now run ActiveSync again
Go to Menu then Schedule
Choose Manually for Peak Times and Off Peak Times
Uncheck Send/receive when I click Send
Now to go peak times link at the bottom of the page
Uncheck All the Weekdays since by default, it's Monday - Friday
Press Okay
Terminate ActiveSync again
Reboot
That's it!
Now, I don't use the Exchange Server so if you do, I don't know how well it works or if another Server Source will affect anything. Also, the method I've given is not my own. It's posted somewhere in XDA so please don't give me any credit for it. The original method also states you can delete the Server Source after following the instructions I've given. I do not recommend this. If you do, expect ActiveSync to come back soon after StartUp.

Wasn't the Pagepool 6MB in your last version?
Why the change of heart? Not that I really care either way because I honestly have never paid attention to the effects of various pagepools; I'm just curious.

There's nothing big in the ROM that slows down with a smaller pagepool and I like the extra RAM. :p

Another question: How can I change the Start Menu icon to be the HTC logo or the white Windows logo? I'm assuming that requires replacing shell resources, which I'm familiar with doing. I'm just wondering what resource files are modified and what the known limitations are.
I suppose that would also be along the same lines as replacing the other icons in the task bar. So if it's not too much trouble, can you tell me how folks do that too? You don't have to be too explicit if you don't feel like it. I'm not even sure if I want to take the effort to do it if it's too complicated.

There's this tool tht a guy made that changes the Icon... hmm... google "Icone Demarrer". You install the cab and drag and drop the icons (he should have a zip with all the icons) into the windows folder and soft reset! I use the blue mushroom.
Hey Ivan it seems the only way for MMS to work for me is using WAP 1.2... why is that? 2.0 doesn't work at all for me... hmm... maybe that's all I had to do in the first place?

The start menu can be changed by adding a custom shellres.96.dll.mui with the edited icons.
You can download mui's with the icons already edited (just search for them) or you can edit them yourselves if you download the edit package floating around in XDA. (It unsigns the mui, lets you edit it with reshacker and then sign the file again.)

That link isn't incorrect. It's my personal site. As I said, click on the JustROMs link. On the right hand side of that website.
On another note: JustStable V2 Micro Build 6 is ready but I probably won't release it until Build 7. No bugs but no huge improvements other than upgrading to build 21051. (The newest wm6.1 build.)

This is an awesome ROM!
I've never seen so much free RAM on any Herald ROM.
Thank you very much!

Ok, I am sure I am doing something wrong, but I am not sure what it is. I have tried to install a couple copies of the JustStable V2 Build 5 for the wing. But everytime I start, get to 7% and then an error says that the file is corrupted and is the wrong size.
"Error 228: INVALID FILE SIZE"
The image file is corrupted. Please check your update utility
I am not really sure what this means. I have tried several other ROMs and all flash just fine. I'm confused. Anyone know what the problem could be????
My phone is HardSPL'd and is currently running Touch-IT 7.1 (In case you wanted to know).
Thanks for any help.

Hey Ivan are you reading up on the ULDR exploit thing? How cooks can update their ROMS without having to make a completely new ROM and users having to reinstal and recustomize EVERYTHING??
Really kickass but also kind of ironic how a few days or weeks after you release your ROMS with ULDR removed is when people found potential with it.

Yes, but as I mentioned in the other thread, this would only work for minor updates. A full update where I change the build version of windows mobile, would take quite a bit more space than those 3mb's.

Well it took a little while for me to get the format version right... using Vista and command prompt only wanted to format to FAT. But I finally found the disk mgmt and got it to to be FAT32. Once that was done, everything worked like a charm.
So far, this ROM kicks ass. So, I think Imma stick with it for a while. Thanks Ivan.

I was able to HardSPL my phone, and get this ROM loaded up. But after using it for a few days, I'm convinced it's noticably slower than your other ROMs, or any ROM I've ever used for that matter. Still unsure why. Could be the pagepool, could be the LZX compression, or could be both together!
Am I alone or does anyone else feel the same way?

Did you use the 6MB PagePool version? That's the fastest one. Every tap gives you an instant feedback. If you flashed the latest version, it's because it's 4MB Pagepool which makes it slower. Based on my needs, I think the 4MB PagePool needs the overclock but the 6MB does not need it. I still prefer the 4MB with overclock. A LZX compression actually makes it faster.

I think you're alone on this. I love the quick response I get with every tap and gesture. I'm running Spb Mobile Shell 3.0 and it's running flawlessly. Maybe you got a bad flash?

Wouldn't a bad flash render the device unusable??
@ivanmmj
Yes, it's the JustStableV2 Build 5 Micro Edition I'm talking about. HardSPLed my phone esp. for it!! :D
I've flashed the latest JustHome for the time being (v11) and loving it (save for the the lack of free RAM)!
I'll flash it back to JustStableV2 Build 5 Micro Edition and record my experience on a video.
If it really was a bad flash, the problem might get sorted out on its own!
Will let you guys know when I find out what was causing the slow-down...

You do not need to delete anything off your SD card; it will not interfere with the flashing. You must remember you have to have the HERAIMG.nbh file in the root of the SD card though.

My card was already formatted to Fat32, but wouldnt flash (it did the 1/4 second search and then gradient screen). I reformatted the card, and it flashed fine in about 6 minutes.
But now when it loads, I get the old start bar on top, Calender and contacts on bottom, but NOTHING in the middle? I reflashed again and still have the same prob.
I used the nbh from the last option listed on JustROMS...

Not a problem, but a feature! As a Micro Rom, it has nothing in the way of "extras", including Today plug-ins like HTC Home that you may be used to seeing with the clock, etc. You get to add only the plug-ins and programs you want/need, and not have unwanted programs just taking up space.

The reason why it flashed it 6mins or less is because the file size of the .nbh isn't big. It's 17MB when downloaded; hence the name of MICRO. Any other ROM you ever faced will probably have at least 45MB. If you ever downloaded a lite version of a ROM before, picture MICRO as a version with only the bare minimum that it takes to run Windows Mobile. You have to install everything from scratch on your own. This ROM is not for the lazy that wants everything pre-installed. This is for users who want the ultimate customization starting with the bare minimum. So compare it to a new car with no optional equipments but just the basic features. If you want some nice rims or a better audio system, you have to add that on your own.

6 minutes was just for reference... I'm not totally brand new to this, I just saw all the screenshots and thought it would load all those minimums already...

The screenshots are for JustStableV2 not JustStableV2 Micro. ^_^
Anyhoo, I might be moved to create a JustMP3...
And a JustGPS...
And a JustMovies...
hmm... I could even disable everything not needed...
Like:
No apps but the MP3 player which loads automatically at startup.
No camera driver.
No anything but the BARE minimum for MP3 playing.
No IE, nothing at all BUT MP3 player software and WM5torage to transfer music over.
Not even activesync...
hmm...

Well if you just need something to do... JustAUDIO would be killer! but right now I have JustSTABLEV2 Build 5 Micro and HTC Audio Manager, with audio set to load at startup. This is great for me (for now) :) minus the fact that Audio Mgr only uses the volume on the side of the phone for control, so you get the factory delay in volume changes
I have no SIM in the phone, but put it into airplane mode, so i quit getting the No Sim and no service notifications...

Tried the JustHome alpha for a while... and I think the wing just wasn't meant for 6.5 . It looked great and ran fine, just nowhere near as quick as the JustMine is was running previously. Now using this JustStableV2 micro and don't think i'll ever change. This rom is lightning fast.
I do have a question though. I tried out an opentouch rom a few months ago, and it changed my first splash screen. I don't know why it's just starting to bother me now, but it is. I've seen methods of changing the first splash screen using an RUU, but since the wing's hardspl, is there a way I can just make the nbh and flash it via sd card?

I don't always package the splash screen with my ROMs. (Usually, when I'm rushing to create 4 different versions of JustHome, 4 different versions of JustStableV2 and 2 different versions of JustStableV2 Micro, I tend to forget it altogether. :p )
I'll have to rewrite my kitchen scripts to automatically include it from here on as that's asked at least once a week. :p

It's not that difficult or complex at all. I used to do this all the time, but it was a long time ago (maybe 6 months...) We can always unpack the nbh and then just pack up the primary and secondary splashs and then flash it. With all my tools and stuffs, take like 5 min. But now I got a new laptop and all my didn't remember most of the stuffs. Gotta re-learn again...:(

I cannot seem to figure out how to flash your roms, I had searched and followed directions on flashing to SD, I had backup up all my sd files then reformatted my 4g sd card to fat32 with 1 gig partition, and when I go into boot mode all I is a searching for SD Card message for a fraction of a second then the color gradient screen then nothing. This is the same result for all of your roms I have tried. What could I be doing wrong? Also, your nbh file is the only thing on my Storage Card when I do this. This is a Wing not Herald, disregard that part in the subject line hrdspl IPL 4.26.0002 SPL 4.70.Yang is still correct.

That is correct. None of the SDHC cards work. IF you read carefully, most people recommend anything under 2GB because most 4GB micro sd cards (unless fake) are SDHC.

If you right click on My computer--->Manage---> Disk Management then right click on you SD card choose Format and there you'll see Allocation Unit Size and change it to whatever size you want. After you formatted and upgraded you device you don't need image anymore so format it back to your 8GB.

Great rom but to be honest there is one thing that really annoys me and i know it's because wm6 is a slow sluggish OS so i can't wait to get an Android powered phone.
The thing that really makes me wanna smash my phone is the very slow loading of SMS messages, even if i overclock to 299Mhz!
Loading takes about 5 seconds so i wonder is there any way to speed things up a little? Also closing down takes a few seconds.
And maybe the advanced config tool should be included with tweaked settings?
Thnx!

Change the pagepool to a larger pagepool. There has been reports of that helping (I haven't tried it since I don't use the Wing as a phone.)
The drawback will be less free RAM.

Lately, I have been using this version with 5MB pagepool. It's not faster than the 6MB pagepool version that Ivan originally released but you'll see notable difference with your MMS when you were using 4MB. You will lose about 1-2MB at most with 5MB pagepool at a clean startup.

Yea, you must have removed the .m4a codec.
Anyway the end-user can install the codec manually?

I don't remember removing any codecs... There are some codecs that you can get but its really meant for cooking. Does the regular JustStableV2 read .m4a's correctly?

I know that other ROM's read them correctly. Not sure about your JustStable Normal version. I haven't been using your ROM's for a while
Whatever, we'll just wait for your kitchen, I guess. Then we can cook ROM's to our satisfaction!

Try this version of Manilla 2D
http://thewingster.com/Documents/Manilla%202D.zip
Unzip that folder, and place the entire folder on your phone. Then install the .cabs in order. Restart when a program tells you to after installing, and restart on steps 7 and 10. More info below:
Once you download it, UnZip it, and copy the entire folder over to your phone. Install each program in order. When a program tells you it needs to be restarted, restart your phone. And when you come across step 7 and 10, soft reset your phone, just like it says.
You don’t have to install the YouTube player in step 3. It’s not necessary. Also, if you’re not installing step 3, then skip step 4 and skip step 5. Step 6 is your Audio Manager, use that version because it’ll work with Manilla 2D. Step 8 is optional, install it if you want, it’s just a audio volume booster. Step 9 is your HTC Album, you probably should install that version because your version might not work with Manilla properly. Step 13 is the task manager on your today screen, if you like that, then install it. Step 14 is Google Maps, but it’s an older version, so you might as well skip it and then install your own latest version. Step 15 is a comm manager, which I believe JustStable Micro might already have one, but you can install it later if you’d like.
So, try it out. Tell me how it works. I haven’t had a chance to try it on JustStable Micro yet.

It's a bug with the M2D and other things that access the SDHC card. Just remove the SD card while it's booting or find a version without the bug like the one pointed out on the last post.

Ivan - thank you the ROM. After installing to device memory - Manila, NetCF (required by Finger Keyb and CleanRAM), Google Maps, M2DC, Opera + Java, HTC album, htc audiomanager, Finger Keyboard, Clean RAM, Office (on sd card), HTC Calculator, Adobe reader (on sd card), Contacts, numerous games (on sd card) and small utilities (htc volume control, htc task manager, system status, total commander) - I still end up with 35 mb of storage and 25 mb of free RAM. This is way awesome.
Besides the reboot issue with sdhc+manila, the other issue is that speaker (speakerphone) music pauses when I try to turn the screen off. My old RAM used to let me play music to my daughter as she was about to sleep. Is there a registry hack for this? Also the ROM seems to hesitate a little sometimes - nothing major - just fyi.
Anyway Great Job - is there going to be a release 6 or 7?

I could never get music to play with the screen off. Your best bet is either to go into the options of Windows Media Player and choose a button for Toggle Screen On/Off. Or, you can use Nitrogen (on The Wingster), which has an on-screen button that does the same thing.
And there won't be another release. Ivan's busy making his SuperJustKitchen. Once he finishes that, then you can make your own ROM really easily.
And yea, I've noticed hesitation, but that's just Windows Mobile, not Ivan's fault!

Installed first time yesterday, great ROM, love it.
However, I cant seem to find the option that says something like "close program on X", instead of having all opened programs run in the background when I close them with X.
Is this removed in Micro or am I just blind?

If you're not finding it in the Settings menu, then maybe that option is linked to the HTC Task Manager that runs on the today screen. Try installing that, you'll find it here: http://thewingster.com/taskmanager.aspx
See if that adds the option in the settings menu.

Use your D-Pad to "scroll" through the individual text messages in the thread. That marks them as read.
The non-Micro version of JustStable doesn't have this problem.

I used to use an exchange server when I used my wing, so I always needed activesync running. There are a few "fixes" around (I personally don't know them since I always wanted it running.) If you search for "activesync always running" or anything of that sort, you'll probably find the answer. It has also been posted a few times within my other ROM threads.
oh yea one more thing i always can turn off the data connection from comm manager but i cannot turn it on from comm manager... any help please...
The button in the comm manager calls an app called "datadisconnect.exe" so it's a one way street. To reconnect again, just open IE or any other app that requires data to be on.

JustHome is basically final already. Development for it has stopped. Ivan is working on a Visual Kitchen, and then he's going to be done, I think.
If you want a newer build of WM6.5 that's kind of similar to JustHome, then I released numb3rs. I tried to make it very similar to Ivan's, so that people would have something that's similar to a next version of JustHome. Find it here: http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?p=4269035

okay, i've done hard SPL'd and flash from SD card and everything just went fine except I cant get the bluetooth to paired to other devices, first I did a search from my herald and found my laptop, then I continue the next step until it finally says 'pairing done You are now connected to bla bla bla'. serial port and dial up networking already ticked and my laptop was shown 'disconnected' in my herald. everytime i try to connect to laptop or the other way around..it always says i cant connect coz the connection failed or password is incorrect. if i send file through laptop to phone then it says device doesnt have the necessary service ( I assume it means the serial port and dial up networking must be ticked. same thing when i try to send file from my blackberry to herald 'service not available' message came up.

You placed the 7z or the NBH file in the SD card? If you only get the multicolored screen, then your SD card is not formatted to FAT32 or it's too slow.

The SPL doesn't support SDHC's. (As the SDHC driver loads AFTER Windows Mobile starts loading.)
If the ROM is smaller than 50mb, that's the only way to flash (the person who was making the new HardSPL hasn't updated me in a long time, so for now, that's the only way.
If the ROM is larger than 50mb, just flash it the normal way.

Warning: This HAS to be flashed through an SD card.

what's the meaning of "LZX"
I explain it on The Wingster for every LZX ROM. It's a method of compression. Basically, more storage space (about 10 MB) in exchange for a little amount of RAM (probably less than 0.5 MB).
YOU MUST BE HARDSPL TO FLASH LZX.

Hey I've been posting around here a little bit about an MMS issue I'm having with your roms....
I've tried a large number of them, and no matter which ones I flash, it seems I have just...zero MMS capabilities whatsoever.
No settings. No options in messages. No anything anywhere. Only thing I can do with pictures is send via e-mail if I happen to have an e-mail account set up (which I don't like to carry with me on my phone).
Got any thoughts?
