think u using your own menu enhancement think better you build it back to windows cause your menu scrolling not as sensitive as HTC by the way most of our Diam user is using custom ROM which come with new HTC menu enhancement so no need for you to waste time on this. Hope you can release option package soon. By the way I'm having Garmin so can you build it I can navi or view map direct from your application. Anyways thnks keep up...

NO, you can't make a tab in tf3d. but you can do 2 possibility:
1. you can change the the softkey in homepage (left or write) to "loffactory" with "Advanced_Configuration_Tool_v3.3".
2. the another way is to change the left key in the original contact tab (as you prifer :D) to "loffactory" by using "ssmaho" app.

you can find bouth of them hear in xda forum.

The keyboard is not supported yet.
To Change Language:

1 - Translate "English.ecl" file.
2 - Change file name to "Hebrew.ecl" and copy to "\Program Files\Easy Contact\Language" folder.
3 - Use Reg Editor to change language settings: "HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\Software\LoFFactory\Easy Contact\Settings\".

actually resco explorer has pretty poor scrolling imho. The native scrolling in WM6.5 is by far the best, as it distinguishes between a true scrolling motion and just a tap. Resco gets confused and treats scrolls as tap-then-swipes many times.

I installed Alpha2 on my CDMA Touch Diamond running WM6.5 and I don't see any contacts listed. This is despite being able to see all contacts in the built-in MS contacts app. Does this somehow only support GSM?

I don't know if this feature has already been asked, but it would be nice to have a scroll bar on the right with letter, like in Resco Explorer for example.

- Also be able to choose the size of contact picture, at least in favorites people (Small, Medium, Big).

- Improve Scrolling system, sometimes it's not very reliable, and launch speed (or make a trick that's return to today without exit the application to get it always loaded, for example by replacing the left SoftKey "More" in all contacts :D )

Hi, your program is great! I tested it in my htc touch hd and works fine. The only bug i think is that the contact images are not shown in full height and they look a bit compressed and short. I don't know if this is related to screen resolution.

Difficult for me to be more specifique.... no sceen sorry

So, i'don't understand but i desinstalled all, delleted the folder,the reg key and re installed the soft on phone memory and ... no probleme... strange but it's ok, so i decided to uninstalled adain and re installed in the storage memory to test; and no probleme all is ok now... sorry to alerted you ;) all works fine now, do know why but it works.

3. Situation. Phone module is turned off. Try to edit contact on SIM. Save it. It is the same as it was before editing. Can you make a caution window like "The Phone function is disabled. Please turn on the phone function first" ?
4. Can you make blue skin? (OK, i will do it myself, not so hard)
5. Something wrong with "1" number in QVGA version (it is smaller than others numbers)

Answer to #2 - you can do this manully. Use a registry editor and modify HKLM\software\microsoft\shell\rai\:mscontacts, change string 1 to "\program files\easy contact\easy contact.exe" (and include the quotes).

This will make any calls to :MSCONTACTS open Easy Contact. This works for the default Contacts shortcut and the Contacts softkey on the phone dialer. This doesn't work for the contact page on TF3D because those links are hard coded to the contacts application.

For example, I want to edit two last contacts, edit first Zizzja1, save it, list will be refreshed and starts from the beginning, long long scrolling till the end, again edit Zyzzja2, save it, list will be refreshed and starts from the beginning.

Hi all...someone wanted the italian language...so i made it... :)
1. Unzip the file
2. Copy Italian.ecl file in \Programmi\Easy Contact\Language\
3. Open Easy Contact and tap on Menu button and then tap Options...
4. Choose Italian from list in Language option
5. Tap Ok
6. Restart Easy Contact...and enjoy it

Whatever was causing the contacts to be empty in the alpha versions was fixed in the beta.

I have a request. Can you add an option to "exit on action" similar to iContact? For instance, if I use Easy Contact to place a call, I don't want to have manually close Easy Contact after I am done with that call. It should simply close itself when the action of making a call is placed. Same with composing a text message or other actions. Thanks!

Right, preferably closed on any action (call or sms). There is a similar option in iContact for your reference. That's one of the annoying things about using the MS Contacts app. When you call someone, and you end the call, you have to close that contact and then close the contacts app. When most of the time when we are done with a call we want the phone to simply be at the home screen. Thanks.

read my post above... it gives you details on how to make this app be your default contact app. If you want it to work in tf3d then you need to edit the manila files (don't ask because I don't know how to do it).

Answer to #2 - you can do this manully. Use a registry editor and modify HKLM\software\microsoft\shell\rai\:mscontacts, change string 1 to "\program files\easy contact\easy contact.exe" (and include the quotes).

This will make any calls to :MSCONTACTS open Easy Contact. This works for the default Contacts shortcut and the Contacts softkey on the phone dialer. This doesn't work for the contact page on TF3D because those links are hard coded to the contacts application.

I want to change the highlight color from green to red, so I looked in the default directory, found the only file that was green, and created my own with the same name in red. copied it back into the default directory, but even after a reboot, the hightlight in the program is still green, despite my red file being in the default directory.


Also, I did what was mentioned on an earlier page to change this program to the default contact program, including the contact button on the dialer

Hey, great app, LOVE it! I have 2 feature requests though, if these were built in I'd use it as my default contacts app:

- Can it be set as the default so it opens when click all contacts?
- Can you make it fullscreen, so without winmo titlebar?

very nice app, well done man :) and you call this a beta version?? wow :D my only suggestion would be a bigger font and the quick shortcut when you select 'all contacts' and the alphabet letters come up can be bigger in portrait view perhaps take up the whole screen similar to icontacts..

no speed problems here - having 250 Contacts.
It takes about 2 seconds to load from flash, thats fast enough for me.
I have a htc touch diamond....

Been using the software, spending time skinning it, have two issues.

#1) the date in call history is in the format day-month-year. any way there can be a settting option to change it to month-day-year?

#2) whenever a call is from an unknown caller, in history It doesn't show the icon whether it was an incoming, outgoing or missed call.

Lastly, is there a way to change the text color? both of the contacts and of the alphabet that comes down for the search option?

First of all I do not know where is your problem. My application successfully deletes the contact.
If the list back to the beginning, this is normal because the application back to read all the contacts but I have not implemented the part of return to previous position.
For contacts for this company is still very limited and very slow. Sorry! :(

Thanks for the great app. The last version solved the crash problem.
Can you enable the navigation control for scrolling the contacts in Easy Contact? It's possible in the standard contacts windows app, but I'm not able to use it in Easy Contact. I ask this because it is a very useful option in many situations (for example, with the phone placed on a car mount).

Uninstall:
I Uninstalled the last version V1.0 BETA (26-06-2009)
Before that, I uncheck the Options to Default.
I deleted from the sub directory all the old skins & language and the device was clean from the olds app completely.
made soft reset.

Install:
I install the new V1.1 BETA (28-06-2009)
I didn't change nothings and didn’t install or used another language or skins
I tried to install the app to the storage cards, and also to the main memory and get the same result: the app crash immediately when I'm trying to use the menu

So., What do you think I made wrong and how can I fix the crash?

Uninstall:
I Uninstalled the last version V1.0 BETA (26-06-2009)
Before that, I uncheck the Options to Default.
I deleted from the sub directory all the old skins & language and the device was clean from the olds app completely.
made soft reset.

Install:
I install the new V1.1 BETA (28-06-2009)
I didn't change nothings and didn’t install or used another language or skins
I tried to install the app to the storage cards, and also to the main memory and get the same result: the app crash immediately when I'm trying to use the menu

So., What do you think I made wrong and how can I fix the crash?

As I mentioned earlier, the date in call history is in the format day-month-year. any way there can be a settting option to change it to month-day-year?

When I view a contacts information, for the address it shows me zip code, city, state on the second line, in that order. I would like an option (settings/registry/etc) to set it as city,state,zip code.

I like having the alphabet on the right side to scroll through, but it is a bit small to do with my fingers, could this be made a bit larger?

I have this program as my default, and it loads insead of the standard app that is part of WM 6.1 everywhere EXCEPT if I select call history from my dialer screen. How can I fix this?

A few things.

I've started to translate into Romanian for testing purposes.
Found a couple of problems:
1. The alphabet contains also Î,Ş,Ţ (letters that a name can start with) along other (ăĂ,â - letters a name cannot start with). The space allocated cannot handle 3 more letters.
2. If I translate Favorites, I loose all the favorites in contacts, althrough I only change the Language (if translated to "Favorite" instead of "Favorites" it creates a new category "Favorite"). Maybe an option to selected Favorites category from the list ?

Other small issues on 320x320 (i780):
- menu opens on center of the screen (probably as on screen width 240px) but the screen width is larger (320px)
- diacritics on menu appear with larger characters than the rest of characters
- there is an unused right zone on the "tabs" on lower screen - probably as it looks on landscape (?!?)

I must say the application is SUPERB! Just one question... As I mainly use the phone with left hand only, would it be possible to move the call history upper arrow button that releases the filter buttons to left side? Either via skinning or option or... I looked thru the skin options, I could find anything concerning positioning :( Would You consider this option? I cannot reach the arrow with my thumb. Maybe add the arrow to both sides? I couldnt find the spanish language, so I traslated it. The language file is attached to the post. Simply put it on "Program Files\Easy Contact\Language" folder. Then go to options in Easy Contact and choose the desired language.

having same issue here. Seems like the default option doesn't redirect from Manila. You can try using SSMaHo, just do a search for it here on the forum. Works for me:)

In manila it is a hardcoded call to MS contacts, so no chance by changing the alias.
What one can try is a trick with tools like VJBrisk (I guess there was a topic here on xda, otherwise try to google) that "redirects" the call to an application you want.
I did that for calender.exe, so the home tab of manila calls SBSH Calender Touch when I tap on event...

Hi, I really find your app superb (infact I'm totally addict for that since its first release :p) but could I ask some personal requests for your future releases?

1) an option to set wich program open to editan old contact/insert a new one. I currently use PocketInformant wich has got a brilliant form for that, since there was other programs over the default P.Outlook one to do theese operations would be nice the option to use theese ones instead of the ugly one...
2) a tab for conversations (SMS/MMS/MAILS). Maybe I'm asking a lot, but this feature would be sooo sweet!
3) the ability to save favourites. Every time I hard reset the device...they disappear! :(
4) a bigger photo in single contact view...now it is smaller than wichone you can see in the standard p.outlook view: a little bit annoying.
5) an option to open any single contact as a shortcut and, moreover, to open any single contact trough easy contact when tap on the call history in front of the WM/HTC/SAMSUNG dialer...
6) A callerID screen: I kmow, this is a really big request, but since I had an Omnia I had to use s2u2 just ofr that (samsung dialer has no callerid function) and so...a lot of ram that goes away: really bad. If your app could provide a "slide to answer/reject calls" similar to wich one provided by htc dialer (so, with also a big photo contact) would be simply amazing!!!

thanks for sharing such a wonderful application. It's a huge step forward, compared to the ugly built-in contacts system.

I've recently come across a bug. After editing Options at the Menu, the 'All Contacts' starting screen seems messed up: it only displays the first three contacts. If I click on a letter -say 'C'-, it will jump at that letter as it normally would, however, when I scroll using my finger it jumps straight at the top, displaying the first three contacts again. :confused: The categories all work normally.

My setup is HTC Touch Cruise [the 2008 model] with Windows Mobile 6.0, if it's helpful. If I can provide more information to help you check this bug let me know.
