can some one please help me to get Instruction on White screen Method b'coz i cant upgrade my elfin to SPL 3.14

You should be able to upgrade to SPL 3.14...

White Screen Method is when you use the "comma" method. You use this bootloader to put your phone in a state where the ROM can be 'upgraded'. This is not only tedious but also tiresome and can brick your phone. The newer bootloader (ie, tricolor screens), make upgrading the ROM a zinch, since you don't have to constantly try to make your phone fall into the "comma" or white screen.

If you believe you HAVE to do White Screen, I believe I have an old step by step instruction from the old Blue Elves ROM archive lying around and can post if you like.

Why do you say your phone wont upgrade to 3.14? did you IPL it to 3.14 as well? I tend to do both

by the way, 3.14 has a "battery drain issue" stick with 3.10 :cool:

I think is a procedure like splexploit. First you need an alive HTC Elf/Elfin (you need to access WM and have ActiveSync connection), not bricked, not dead. You will be able to write to RAM a (obviously temporary) spl that has g_cKeyCardSecurityLevel=0, that doesn't check CID, doesn't check Model ID; then you can use RUU to load a rom, or you can use MTTY commands if you need.

Here is the ol' step by step, in case you or somebody needs it

White Screen Flashing:

1. Copy the Cert_SPCS.CAB and EnableRapi.CAB from the zip folder to your device's Storage Card.(###*** you dont have to do this step if you have allready used the sim unlocker program!!***###)

2. Install the two cabs to your Device memory and do a soft reset.

3. Restart your PC or laptop (Optional)


USING THE ROM UPDATE UTILITY WITH USPL CID UNLOCKER:

(ATTENTION: REMOVE YOUR 4GB, 6GB or 8GB mircoSDHC CARD WHEN FLASHING THIS ROM!)

1. Turn off your computer's Anti-Virus software if you can. ( not necessary )

2. Activesync your device to your PC using USB port.

3. When the connection is completed (after synchronisation), double-click on [START] batch file to begin the integrated ROM Updating Utility.

4. Now follow closely the instructions that appear on the computer screen.

5. Press [ENTER] to accept at each prompt to continue the process.

6. After Step 2/3 of USPL CID Unlocker, the device screen will turns "blank white" and your activesync icon gray (in Windows XP only).
Congratulations! You have successfully CID unlocked your device. Press [ENTER] to proceed NOW!

- Now update your phone with whatever you want.

if u want to flash something different from HSPL 3.10 u must replace the .nbh that is inside the ruu folder, be careful if u flash a rom using this method and the phone is CID locked u will brick it. so, u must only use it to flash USPL or HSPL.
