Hey guys
I been to thread http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=445666 and tried doing hardspl.
I am a novice in rom upgradation. But went to thread and on seeing the steps i tried to hardspl and then flash a rom. That was the very first time i was trying to do something like that. Before never tried anything like that. Now i describe what i did and now where i am stuck (hope u will help me out)
My HTC TOUCH version was as below
Rom Version 1.11.720.18 WWE
ROM Date 05/24/07
Radio Version 02.93.90
Protocol Version 4.1.13.42
Extrom Version 1.11.720.101
hardware Omap850
speed 201 Mhz
ram size 128 mb
data bus 16 bits
storage size 30.44 MB
1) Now I dowloaded the zip file attatched on thread i.e. ELF_USPL_2.26.0000.zip and extracted that file on my pc
2) Then i connected my HTC Touch to my pc via Active Sync
3) Then ran the file ROMUpdateUtility.exe
4) I followed all the steps
5) In last step it checked my image and also showed me the new image which is going to get updated on my phone, then i clicked update
6) I was put on tricolor screen on my phone
7) Then after 30-40 seconds it showed me error 266: Connection error and asked me to check if my usb is properly attached or not. (USB was properly attached only and i never touched the usb cable while updation was in process
8) I exited that ROMUpdateUtility.exe and again ran ROMUpdateUtility.exe, but same at the end it showed the same connection error
Now my phone is freezeed at that tri color screen only. I tried soft reset, pulled the battery back but nothing happend.
Whenever phone starts just for 1 sec a white screen comes which reads "Searching for SD Card". This screen goes in no time and phone gets on to Tri color screen with these texts written on it
IPL 1.11.002
SPL 1.11.000
with RUU written on Top right corner
If i connect USB cable down at the button USB comes
Please tell me what these all means? how to get back to normal start up or how to go ahead and finish Hardspl and then flash a new ROM. I guess i have not bricked my phone. Please guide me step by step how to recover from this tri color mode.
For your reference i am attaching the image of my current status of phone.
