No PIM backup ? What does everyone use to back up and install their data ?
Now I have to find it and install it so I can get my contacts back. No big deal, I should keep it on my SD card just in case, :)

Can't multi-select in File Explorer, which means I have to move selected ringtones and alert tones from SD card one at a time

Had a little trouble getting the phone to sync with PC. First time connected but got stuck at " looking for changes " Second time got stuck halfway thru syncing files, third time was a charm. Each time had to delete partnership. Don't know if it is a bug or a hiccup. Will test further.

Been using your 1.5 for sometime ... One of a few ROM that allows SIM Pin to be input before proceeding with M2D loading.

I have a question, having used Josh' 6.5 ROM, I found restoring my PIM to other ROM with M2D will result in the M2D broken. It won't load. I tested Athine Jan22, TPC ROM too (with newer Manila). Will see if it works on your V3, but wondering what likely the issue?

so I think there might be a problem with SSL. I use a program called Afaria for work, and it fails citing "unable to connect via HTTP with SSL..."

My other phone works fine so I know it's not a server issue.

You may want to look into that. In the mean time I have to flash another ROM, even though I like this one a TON, I have to have SSL operational.

I'm also using a Tilt on AT&T.

On start up of the device I am presented with the pin-code input screen. However after a few seconds, the touchflo starts and the pin-code input screen is not returned. Is there a way to start the touchflo after the pin is entered?

After teast last night and this morning, quick smooth and no freezes.Aside from what I mentioned earlier, last night I had this problem, when I closed a program, the phone relaunched Touch Flo. Happened everytime, this morning, it seems to be gone.

Anyone else experience this ? Other than that ,

Quick menu runs great, WK Task runs great, IE smooth and quick, Camera and Album working as should, Music player works well, finds my music and plays, but odd jog wheel function, instead of controling volume or place in song, it scrolls to the next song, don't think previous players did that.Still have a problem connecting and staying connected with AS, but not ready to say it is the rom's fault.

Most importantly quick and stable, another great rom, the man is back on his game.

You can re-flash the rom via microSD card. Find the sticky in this Kaiser forum.

i had a problem when flashing this ROM at 22% upgrade stopped write error message appeared, re-tried flashing the ROM and same result...am using Hard SPL 3.29....fortunately it did not brick my phone and was able to flash my old ROM...any ideas??? maybe a bad download? :confused:

R/SK = Right Soft Key :) Also can you include patched M2D for custom weather, just tryed to add local and didn't work "used the N2A but surely must be a newer patched version?"

I always admired your work and I tend to look around for your comments, few words that help many.
Guys, if your having problems with 64 bit, I recommend you either flash the ROM from your SD card by renaming the nbh file to KAISIMG.nbh and moving it to your SD card, or by putting Windows 7 64 bit as a dual boot on your computer. I am using Windows 7 64 bit, and I can flash ROMS perfectly.
If you need help dual booting Windows 7, don't hesitate to PM me.

First you have 2 have a program besides file explorer like total cammander or resco explorer un zip what i found on the website you posted and place those files in your windows directory reset you phone and that should answer your question from what i can see.:D

Worked for me:D copy files to windows directory. go into the windows directory folder find Patch_M2D_Weather click on it after that weather should be patched and working in your M2D weather tab

are you using the file explorer 2 do this ? if so you cant you have to use total commander or resco explorer i use resco explorer you can find that program file in my 4 shared files http://www.4shared.com/dir/12343899/1cef28f3/sharing.html
After you install resco explorer go to menu bottom right corner of screen go to options then general click on browser uncheck the three files that are checked then click done. then take the three files that where in the zip folder i posted copy and paste those 3 files in the windows directory then go into the windows directory find the patched weather file which is a mortscript file click on it then it should be patched and work.

Well you have to have a registry editor HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE/NLS/Overrides/SSDte Change string to MMM dd, yyyy but in order for the ssdte to show up in the overrides folder you have to go to the start menu settings system regional settings and toggle with the short date what i mean by toggle change the date to something differ doesnt matter.

Sick ROM MBarvian. The only problem I have was with Opera. It kept blinking on and off when I use it. Build 15746. Installed to memory. I'll find a different build and install it to the memory card and see if that works.

How do I check the SPL version?

I flashed my tilt twice from the standard ATT firmware.

On start up of the device I am presented with the pin-code input screen. However after a few seconds, the touchflo starts and the pin-code input screen is not returned. Is there a way to start the touchflo after the pin is entered?

Well note is that program that comes with just about all windows mobile os but im guessing he accidently left it out cause i just went into the windows directory and found notes. exe and tried opening it up no luck so its prob left out or mapped wrong somewhere.

Playing yesterday have flash my Radio rom from 1.70.18.02 to 1.70.19.09 and after that the flash of Solace V3 going well.. no problems, no RSA fail.

It seems the music library is unable to find and/or add any music files. Opening audio manager it starts searching, but after a few seconds the application just stops. When updating the library via windows media player, it finds 80 of the appr 200 files but doesn't add the files to the music library.

The music files are all .mp3 and are located on the storage card.

Are other people experiencing the same problem? Or did I do something wrong? Or...????

I've been on Josh' 6.5 ROM, and whenever I switch back to 6.1 and it has M2D, after restoring the PIM (PPCPimBackup 2.8) that contains SMS, Contact, Call Log and Calendar only, the M2D always crashes (won't load anymore)

The same happens with Solace V3 ..

Even if I try restoring by 'Add only' option of the PPCPimBackup, it still crashes the M2D ..

I clean up my SMS's, saw a lot of Sent item shows as if it's draft item (icon with pencil on it) but it was actually Sent (my wife got it). So I delete a lot of unused item, cleaned up the trash bin and also removed all content from Spam folder (created using MagicCall). Back it up with PPCPimBackup as usual, and flashed Athine Jan 22. Restoring using 'Add only' option (suggested by Anryl) and It works! Now I'm a happy man :D

First of all, thank you for this amazing rom, it is very fast and lot's of room! Manila 2d performance is just superb.

Had a few problems, i was upgrading from L26's manila 3d rom, with radio 1.65.something and i couldn't flash the radio at first (RSA failure), same with usb flashing (flash write error). When i tried to flash the same radio standalone version i had the same problem. My solution was to flash a 1.70.something radio and after that flashing the rom. Hopefully this helps for some people who might run into the same problem. :)

First of all, this is the first ROM I install, and the installation process was very smooth. At first I was amazed with the graphics, and I liked Manila very much.

But errors started to appear:

1. The most important: IGo 8.0 doesn’t want to start at all. IGo 8.3.2 starts, but after 30 seconds the whole system resets. I need the GPS, so can you gave me a solution?
2. When not using, the phone display goes offline. But when I press the power button to reactivate it, it only flashes for a sec and then goes to standby.
3. Even though Opera is set as a default browser, in Manila, when I press Launch Browser, it starts Internet Explorer.
4. The preinstalled YouTube player doesn’t work well. On fast download, the video is going ahead of the audio part, and on High Quality, it skips frames. Maybe is not from the ROM, but I don’t know.
5. In the contacts menu, and some other applications, the Menu button doesn’t work.
6. On the old ROM I had a button on the Today app that adjusted the backlight intensity and it was very useful. Can you integrated on the applet somewhere?
7. And another thing. The Comm Manager on HTC is nicer than the one installed on this ROM.
8. I don't find in the music player used by Manila how to change volume.

I use R 1.71.

I hope you can resolve at least the first problem!

By the way, is there already a 3.1 version to download?

-Camera application is 10x more finger friendly than Nadavi's camera app
-Notification center - AWESOME...very finger friendly
-Nice choice of dialer
-iGO works!!

Cons:
-Camera app has no autofocus and is a tad sluggish in comparison to those of other roms
-No Automatic Connection Set Up
-No Finger Friendly Soft Input Panel Keyboard
-Landscape Manilla could be reworked
-No cleartype option readily available (portrait/landscape)
-No show/hide sim Contacts readily available
-double clicking on the volume icon takes me to notification and I cant access the volume controls


This rom shows great promise and once fine tuned can be a Supreme Rom!

Wow, just when I thought I finnaly reached the peak of what my phone could do this comes along! :D
I've been using PDACorner Ultimate V1 up til now. It's the fastest, most feature packed, compatible and organized ROM I've ever used. (Sadly I must say that, for me, the PDA Corner "series" has been on a down hill slope since then. Worse performance and worse compatibility being my main gripes.)

This is the first ROM to come along since then that justifies reflashing. :)

Apart from the bugs other people have already pointed out it's great.

Oh and about games. I do agree that you should keep it light weight but I think the ball breaker and solitaire games (and personally I think Kevtris is/should be universally appealing enough.. I mean, it's Tetris for petes sake :)) should be included.
Both (or all three for that matter) are very small and wouldn't use up any noticable space at all.

When I am on a call, I get another call on call waiting. I click over and accept the call, placing the other call on hold [this is normal]. Then when finished, the call waiting person hangs up. As the call hangs up...I am disconnected from my current call.

Im using the radio i was using in 3.0 never drained like that matter of fact 3.0 i had the best battery life out of all roms ive used.

My Congrats to you dear sir. this is the first rom I have seen to get the notifications working. Well Done.

flashed my phone to this rom this afternoon from hyperdragon.

have to say the speed of this is fantastic :D

I have noticed a couple of things,

1, no games :eek:

2, when you get a notification (wifi networks found, new voicemail etc) the screen blacks out and the softkeys change but you have to tap the top of the screen to see what the notification is then go the long way round to connect or dial your voicemail.

3, is it possible to change the image behind the clock in touch flo

4, if you tap the speaker in the top bar you cant change the volume

5, no uk support in the weather app on touch flo

these are only minor things but the second one is a real usability issue.

other than these pathetic little things fantastic job, keep up the good work :)

have you softreset your phone to make sure that it isn't the battery meter giving an estiment? if not softreset then see what your battery shows.

I'm having kind of a big problem with this.. Or well i'm not sure if it is the ROMs fault but i can't access to the phone(operator) anymore. After i enter the PIN code it just says No Service..

What should i do?

EDIT: If i go to the Phone -settings and tap "Find Network" the device actually finds the network (or operator) for a while but after a minute the signal just gets weaker and finally goes "No service".

EDIT2 Hm. I think i solved it by myself. I just messed up with the Phone settings i think..

BTW. Where can i change volume? :D

Other times if i go 2t he same page it wont, its just random and also occurs in HTC album, like when im browsing thru pics and i click on one , it just resets. Even when im like playing a simple game it randomly resets.

The v3.1 changelong doesn't seem to address this issue, does any1 else feel like it randomly resets?

i've only been running 3.1 for couple of hours now and haven't had that problem at all, battery life so far is good but haven't made any phone calls yet, been using wifi tho. very nice job mb:D fast, stable my kinda rom

I am sad to say that iG08 R3 doesnt work. It causes a soft reset everytime you try to run the program. Tested same program on other roms just to be sure it wasnt the iGo program.

I have to say this ROM has very quick GPS fix. The last ROM I used was duttys 6.1 and couldnt use any other because of this.

Solace V3 - I flashed this and it looks and feels great(sounding like a woman now) however I noticed a slight issue with wifi, it occassionaly drops and then connects again.

Also you should install diamond keyboard as standard as it is really thumb friendly.

I've been using a 6.1 Stock Rom for a while and I was so tired of the slowness and hangs of it, even I was trying to sell my kaiser thru my local ebay, until yesterday that I flashed your ROM V31. It's my first cooked rom flashed, What such a difference!! It works great! I know there some bugs or improvements that you are working on but still is a pleasure how smooth is the phone now.

I think these are the missing icons you're talking about? Drag them into the windows folder.

After testing this ROM for a day i must say that i'm impressed. This was the first time when i flashed my device and the difference between "original" and this (Solace) is HUGE. So smooth..

Only one thing: How can i change the keyboard to "Nordic" so i can get Ä and Ö -letters to work and organize all the other function keys back to normal?

Yes install HTC_Camera_5_04_31875_00 (http://forum.xda-developers.com/attachment.php?attachmentid=183528&d=1241733105) make sure camera not running when install.

also having problems with internet using active sync...4 softresets already....
when connecting to facebook through spb mobile shell its a headache.. and when i generally try to browse even more of a headache.... its really really slow and well like i said before freezes.. rom is nice and sweet otherwise... btw i am using the 3.1 no manilla.... and dont have this problem on the normal htc rom. thanks for the hard work.. hoping internet gets fixed.. liking this rom a little too much

Great rom Mbarvian! it's even faster than AthineOS. Here are my issues so far:
1. Can't change the volume (that's a big one)
2. Audio booster doesn't work. It's impossible to check the "on" box, so it simply doesn't make any changes on the sound.
3. My country is not included in connection setup and the rom doesn't allow me to install other version (don't know why). No big deal. Can do it manually.
4 Have had several soft resets. It happens randomly and does not seem to be related to a particuar app I"m using.

I'lll be reporting if I find something else. Keep up the good work!

Yes correct. The Activesync still not resolved in this v3.1.
AlenSW Quickmenu is one of the problem caused the system hang/random softresets. So I try the FDSoft StartMenu & its run ok in this rom. Here the cab if somebody want to try it.

I just unzipped to the WINDOWS directory on the device and replaced the existing file.

If you are having trouble, you may need to use something like Resco Explorer or Total Commander to copy the file into the WINDOWS folder.

My bugs, some have already been mentioned:

1) No volume options when tapping icon in top bar.
2) Volume control becomes unresponsive in call via scroll wheel
3) Reminders do not appear on the screen - tapping the icon leads to notification, but still wont display if you tap.
4) Windows media freezes - track requested via voice command.
5) Opera crashes after short use - causes soft reset
6) I use second today displaying weather panel - crashes and soft resets most of the time when trying to activate.
7) Missing comm manager 3 g icon (I posted it a few pages back)
8) No standby mode for playing music without screen display on - power button stops playback
9) Audio Booster 'on' button does not work.
10) Touchflo scrolling sound stop working and wont return even with unchecking/rechecking & soft reset

I think that's about it - some of the above are very similar to issues in PDA Ultimate X-V3.

None of these bugs are major - still keeping it on my phone!

Yes correct. The Activesync still not resolved in this v3.1.

ActiveSync, as in any other ROM with 102MB of RAM, is no more automatically closed, 'cause it's no more needed. That's what told by other chefs.

in my rom not release yet "public" with ~102 RAM
i don't have the problem with ActiveSync running in background all the time i will send the solution to Mbarvian.. if he want it ;)

Yes install HTC_Camera_5_04_31875_00 (http://forum.xda-developers.com/attachment.php?attachmentid=183528&d=1241733105) make sure camera not running when install.

Thanks. can't change image prefix in this. Is this because of the ROM?

using image001.jpg etc my pictures tend to get over written but if we can have date and time like 2009052111391.jpg then its easy to find the pictures too.

anyone?
