[Q] (ELF) GPRS icon showed as connected when it is not connected

Please kindly help. Experiencing problem with my ELF, have not found any cure.

The GPRS icon on the top bar sometimes showed as connected when in fact it is not connected to any GPRS network. This problem always happened when I was connecting to GPRS network and then disconnect. A few minutes later, the icon changed to connected icon. What I did usually is change into the flight mode and then re-activate the phone again and solved the problem.

I wanted to know if there is another easy way to solve this problem so that I won't have to connect and disconnect the phone network. Will upgrading my radio version fixed the problem?

ROM ver: 1.11.707.1B.WWE
Radio ver: 02.93.90
Protocol ver: 4.1.13.42
ExtROM ver: 1.11.707.101

Quick update ... I recently installed the Opal ROM and found that it is no longer a problem. I guess that the case is closed. Thanks for viewing my post.

i've been wondering how to change "G" as gprs symbol as "3G" or "H" in htc touch since that device doesn't support 3G or HSDPA :)

Why do u want to change that? I don't see any point of doing that
