Diamond cover modification - Add this flash light to the back cover?

Can some hardware gurus take a look at the following tiny flash light ($2.21) sold on Amazon and see if we can make some modifications and squeeze it into the Diamond back cover? As we all know, diamond does not have a camera flash that we can use as a flash light. Microcenter has it for $1.99. I got a pink one. I took the flash light apart, it has two 3v small battery and 2 leds, the circuit board is really simple, but it is probably 1.5 mm longer. It is probably a little bit too thick. So it needs some modification. The cover also need some modification.

Your idea is great and the integration might just work with a bigger batt cover but the only problem that concerns me is that the flashlight does not point in the same direction as the camera lens...
