--------------------------------------------------------------------------------
I need help, please. I've just flashed ITsPapaFinal rom on my herald.
Everything went smoothly but my herald has a broken screen so i can not align the screen when i'm asked after the succesfull flash.
What can i do?
Do i have to flash another rom that won't ask me to align screen? My screen is no good at all.
Please, I'm phoneless right now!!!...help
Thanks a lot

The reason we discourage posting here is that it displaces actual development threads into the second page and away from the newer people. That and almost 99.99999999999% of the questions that people ask have already been answered 10-100 times but most people don't actually search for the answer first.
To answer your question, since there's no actual answer, I'm gonna take an educated guess with all the information we have:
1. You can't bypass the alignment window.
2. All ROMs have the alignment window enabled by default.
Answer: The only way would be to make your own ROM with the preexisting alignment settings and a bypass for the alignment or port a Windows Mobile Standard ROM over to the Herald. If you don't know how to cook, then there is no real answer other than either learn to cook or see if any cook has to time to make a custom ROM for you (which is extremely time consuming.)
I'm sorry I don't have a better answer.

Thanks ivanmmj for your polite answer.
I knew this wasn't the proper place to post my concern but I needed help from some of you guys that really know these devices.
Anyway, my herald is useless right now thanks to my puppy that got his jaws over my phone...

Could just get a new screen for the phone ebay has them for like 27 bucks and up. Then you would not have to worry about a custom build.

You can replace the screen yourself in the htc Wing for around $50 (Google). I am not sure of the herald but i now they are similar, if not the same.;)
