You don't have to add the birthday again manually.
It will automatically become an ALL DAY EVENT for that day itself.

Try to tap on the day of your friend's birthday and you should be able to see it as an ALL DAY EVENT.

If you are will to spend 15 EUR, go for Thumbcal, it automatically includes birthdays as events in your calendar. If you don't wanna spend that sum, search for a tool named Darkanniv on Modaco or Google.

I requested something similar as well. I would also like my phone to have an actual notification sound on bdays. I will try that CT bday exe
update: ct birfday doesnt install on wm6.5 i guess. Installation of cab always unsuccessful. maybe i should reboot both my systems.

Well there's a pretty easy way to do it but you need to do just a little bit more work. I do this and it's pretty easy. All you need to do is go to the exact birthdate of your contact so say James was born on 15th March 1985, So i would go to 15th March 1985 and set up his birthday there as a recurring all day event with Alarm. Now not only will your phone alert you of the birthday every year but it will also tell you how many years old he is that year with the age in brackets... Third party software like thumbcal really makes things easy but it's not necessary once you're used to doing this...

hahaha, what a cute way to solve this problem, although i know it'll take a longer time to do it, but i think it works, thx anyway, but i do really hope to have an easier way which when i insert it to contact's birthday and it will automatically show up in calendar, thx for the method, will try out then :D

Outlook looks at contact birthdays and automatically puts them in your calendar. When you sync, they'll be there on your device calendar as well

is there any other ways beside sync with outlook but not using 3rd party application?
