Elf overheating whilst on charge and EXTREMEMLY poor battery life

Hey, just after a bit of advice or seeing if any of you guys have experienced the same issue.

Had the HTC Elf for christmas, it's been great up until the past week when it is getting really hot when charging and after it's been on charge all night the battery low warning is beeping within a few hours, even if the screen is off, the beam / bluetooth isn't on etc...just an idle phone.

Any ideas? advice? help?

I had the very same problem up until 10 minutes ago: turned out I had a faulty MiniSD card.

Try removing yours and see if it helps.

might be a battery problem too.

get a new battery, thats your best bet

I agree with exhausting all options before purchasing anything. Take out ur MicroSD, then if all else fails a battery sounds like a safe bet to me. They are cheap on eBay.
