As title, TyTN 2, bought unlocked, about 18 months ago
A few weeks ago I flashed with HTC downloaded ROM - 6.1 version, official from their site..
Currently (now) on phone:
ROM 3.28.405
Radio 1.65.17.56
G 25.83.40.04H
Build 19212.1.0.3
I am in the UK and can put any SIM into the phone.
Orange and O2 have EDGE where I live and I used to get EDGE dataspeeds.
Now I don't see the E icon (but 3G and H work fine when I move into those areas).
IS it possible the new Rom will have stopped EDGE for me, or is it more likely the network has stopped EDGE for capacity, coverage or maintainance?
I am in a rural area in East Anglia and I know EDGE is a software upgrade to the base stations. And it used to work and I got up to 200k download, but now only 40k on GPRS (or faster on 3G or HSPDA).
Appreciate any pointers. CAN I force EDGE on the phone?
