Engineering mode????

Hello,
I work for a celluar company and just picked up the HTC touch and can't figure out the "field test or engineering mode" feature. If any on could help that would be great. The phone is a HTC Elf touch.
ROM version 2.21.422.3 WWE
ROM date 10/05/07
Radio version 03.07.90
Protocol version 4.1.13.51
ExtROM version 2.21.422.103
Model no ELF0101
Platform Pocket PC

I was hoping for some fun. But, it didn't work on my Elfin either.

this engg. mode is not enabled by default. so first u have to enable it in the registry at:
[HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\Software\HTC\EngineerMode]
"BuildInEngineeringModeApp"=dword:1
u can also edit the string at same location according to your liking.

ok but after making this change, how to enter the mode?

I haven't used in a while, but it worked fine from what I remember. Unzip this file and put the exe on your device. Run it from your file explorer or set a shortcut to it.
