1-change colour of lock screen digits
2-change keyboard to simple from that fancy
3-reduce the popup fonts of menus
4-change the colour of folders in file explorer (black to yellow default)
5-Remove Compact Framwork 2.0 and integrate 3.5
6-Remove that HTC Large Title Bar

this kind of question has been asked millions time.. can you just flash it to your Hima?, if you don't like it.. reflash it to your previous ROM.. I think it's easier that way..

yeah u can flash this rom with the same way....
there are two parts bcoz sundream uploded the kitchen...
just download both parts..
put them in a same folder.
extract part one anywhere on ur dirve..
goto the folder in which u extracted kitchen..
there u'll find himalaya_21232WWE.rar..
extract this one n u'll hav nk.nbf..

Maybe, we are not cooking WM6.5 rom, because we are not interested in it.
So we have no solutions to problems, we do not have!
Try: learning by doing.
All those rom cookers invested a lot of time, hard work, dozens of attempts and a lot of sleepless nights to their finally released roms.
For me, it took eight month, because I tried to build in a lot of useful features.
After I released my version of Ather's Dark Edition I found still some issues.
I'm not happy with it, and I'm sorry for that, but I have to deel with it or I we have to search a workaround.
It's that simple!
For example: Ather90 does not have a Hima at the moment, so he can't flash anything. At the moment - we are working an it.
Sometimes even the best take some time to think, and the all have their own live, problems, family, exams or work to manage.
No one of them will keep his knowledge back, because he doesn't want to share it!
If someone has got the answer, he will post it. That's what this forum is about.
It is easy to become 'Senior', by posting 100 posts in as short time as they could. But for some, it does't mean that they are wise man.

as for the kitchen, no it cant be used as they are veryyy much different, mine is for WM6 and 6.1

as for the add/remove programs, delete the unusual stuff from the OEM Folder, im not on windows atm so i cant access my windows pc, i'll tell you later ;)

Its better than Sun_dream's previous build. such as unlocking the lock screen delay time is now less. Coming to Main Screen and Switching between items in Titanium Plugin is more stable and fast. Scrolling down between folders and files in file explorer and in Start Menu is fast now. i have noticed it consume less battery than previous build.

I have been switching back and forth between this build and Sundream's build 21189 for several days to compare and did notice the better lock screen. However i've had no problems in 21189 with the scrolling but did notice that scrolling in this build is slower and jerky and sometimes the screen flickers for a moment. This is not a complaint but an observation of mine to report because it might just be happening to my Hima.

Also I noticed that Arcsoft MMS does not work in this build although it did in 21189. Am going back to 21189 for the moment but will closely follow this thread.

can any developer make Nbf rom image from these SDK which is only purely based on windows developed OS and nothin is cooked for Himalaya in WWE version?

Do, not try SDHC-driver as they don't work!
check if your sd-card is a SD or a SDHC version. Your device should be able to handle 4GB cards, in case they are SD. Mine is working fine for 2 years now. I had to format it ones since then, because of data loss, after blasting too much data to it. Now everything OK with it.

It's working for me. I found that the speed of my SD Card was awful (took more then 2 minutes to delete a couple of MB). After installing your drivers the speed is much faster.

i have a problem with that kitchen

i build a rom with BuildHimalayaROM By Sun Dream.exe - checked all positions and deleted doubled files, and my rom is no booting. Also I restored deleted files and nothing changed, so i unchecked all positions and nothing happened too..
What should I do? im new in hima - I flash, then format/clean hv.

I have a booting problem with the rom:( It Takes forever to boot and will only reboot from a soft reset if connected to a power supply so not for shareing


I also have 23001 port but it has same problem there both fast and staible but i cannot publish a rom in this condition:( But i am trying to fix these problems:confused:. I know now that the problem is in the SYS folder, there's a lot of stuff to try so it may take some time
If i get a fix for this then i will post a rom

Which device?
In case it is not a HTC Himalaya or one of it's clones (see WIKI above) you are at the wrong place here!
Search for your device and switch to the correct forum.
Some devices differ only a little bit, so: Be careful and read everything!
In the other case, you'll find everything in here, specially the stickys about upgrading an the memory.
Although it is quite easy to flash, you can brick your device!
Read everything carefully, make your backups and other preparation and finally: Think twice!
After you are completely sure, that everything is well done, choose a rom and flash. Have fun!

What exctly do you want to do?
I case of just flashing a new rom Read a lot(stickies), make your backups, and then there is a folder upgrade? (or so). It should be all in there to flash.
The .exe you tried should start the kitchen (tool) to builsd your own new rom.
For this purpose you should read a lot more on rom cooking, 'cause it is possible to brick your device, doing wrong!!!

Recently upgraded from one of the previous builds and I must say I'm even more impressed with sun_dreams work!

I have noticed a considerable speed improvement using the device, I can genuinely recommend this Rom for flashing. However there are a couple of lil issues im having both sync related.

Firstly the device will connect to activesync but when removed from the cradle the device doesn't stop the connection automatically (two arrows stay on titlebar) i have to stop it through the comms manager.

Secondly, I found as a work around to my previous comment to change the USB setting so it will be detected as an external HDD. Once again it syncs fine but when removed from cradle the device doesnt recognise the Storage card till it is replaced.

These are only lil niggles and to be fair I can live with them unless someone has any ideas. Please don't let these comments dissuade you from trying this ROM. I genuinely can't go back to WM2003!!!

What I have discovered with this kitchen (from one noob to another) jus use the BuildHimalayaRom.exe, oce that is done, click file then exit, that leaves a command prompt window, don't close it jus let it run. when it is done - voila, u have your nk.nbf ready for flashing, all you need is the Hima upgrade utility and you can falsh away

This method makes Sun's kitchen build with all the Himalaya OEM apps, which are nice but you may not need all of them. I'm still learning but i found deleting some of the apps, like [audio manager, showcase suite etc] before building does not install the apps when you build the rom. Hope this helped,

it is made by "aeroflyluby" so give any ups to him...

once downloaded and un zip'd its just a matter of clicking "buid test rom" and once a .nbf has been created the update flashing app will start automatically.

the resulting rom will be a standard WM 6.5 rom without any custum stuff in it,"aeroflyluby" has done this so you can add or take away to your own likeing..

give it a go !!!

thanx advance15. Tried out the kitchen and honestly speaking - Aeroflyluby is a genius! His kitchen is a pure work of art and he does deserve praise. Its so easy to use and it fixes any mistakes (duplicated files, files in the wrong folder etc) beautiful stuff!

However, i have reverted back to the master's rom - Sun_Dream's 21189. Its the most stable, and I have an issue with time - with all these new roms coming out, whenever i reset using the reset button, it resets the date and time - with sun's 21189, it keeps time. Thot it was a backup battery issue, replaced it but still its the same, so goodbye 6.5.3 for now... until i learn how to masterfully cook like Sun Dream and Aeroflyluby (you rock dude!)

Firstly of all I need to say that this kitchen is for advanced users and have many bugs making difficult to do working rom.
If you want to start cooking, better choice is aerokitchen because doing a working rom first time is just clicking on Build...
Really, don't make harder something that could be easy.
