NEWER UPDATE: Hard-SPL 2.51.OliNex! you can update to this if you already have Hard-SPL (1.33.OliNex or 1.83.OliNex). to do the update to 2.51, download attachment update_to_251.zip and simply use customruu or do an SD flash (TOPAIMG.NBH).

UPDATE: Hard-SPL 1.83.OliNex! if you have 1.33.OliNex, strongly recommended to update to this, better compatibility with WM6.5 ROMs. you can update to this in 2 ways:
- simply download new HardSPL package and run it in Automatic mode
- or you can download the attachment "update_to_183.zip" and flash it using CustomRUU. this only works if you already have 1.33.OliNex


preface: okay, it was released only this weekend! but trust me the wait was worth it as it works really great and smooth now! :D
important: again, don't forget, each user gets 1 license, or perhaps 2-3 on request if needed (which is valid forever and all this works as transparently as possible, so won't be a problem at all), while businesses who need to unlock more devices than that, need to purchase it.

Preparations

0) this package is for Topaz (Touch Diamond2, not the original Diamond1) devices. any TOPA***** accepted currently, as long as we don't see a CDMA or other special release.
1) if you have Vista / Windows 7, WMDC update to 6.1 (or whatever is latest) is recommended: http://www.microsoft.com/windowsmobile/en-us/help/synchronize/device-center.mspx


Instructions

read this if unsure how to install Hard-SPL... if you are an experienced user and you just downloaded the HardSPL package and it worked, then cool. :) but if you run into an issue, then you should read the following!

1) download newest Hard-SPL package from Topaz-HardSPL_V5_00R5.zip attachment, extract to an empty folder.
2) you must Have Phone Synced with PC in Windows Mobile!!! and it must not be in Flight mode (i.e. radio should be on).
3) NEW: internet access is required as the program checks online for updates and license.
4) run Topaz-HardSPL_V5_09R6.exe on PC, make sure it's launched from a local drive (not through network drive, etc.). XP requires Admin logon, and Vista/Windows 7 will automatically prompt to allow it to run in Admin mode, allow it please. if the exe fails to run or throws an exception (i.e. crashes), report this in the thread with exact error message/code. if you get an antivirus warning, please ignore it, it contains no harmful code (just used a packer to compress it).
5) follow steps as prompted in the Hard-SPL program. if this is the first run of Hard-SPL on a device after hard reset, you must select Automatic flash mode (the first button in Welcome screen).
notes: you should usually go for Automatic flash mode; the Manual flash option is only to be used as noted below (in NOTE 3 and in troubleshooting section) and you must only attempt the Manual mode if Automatic flash mode or SSPL-Manual.exe already put device in tricolour screen. any other errors triggered while running in Autoflash mode will have to be fixed as instructed in the error message.
6) it will ask you to wait while it prepares for the flashing, press OK.
7) now it should go through without any error messages, if one does pop up, then please follow the instructions included in the error text. if no specific instruction is shown, then ask for help in the thread, but this should not ever occur (as this means a really fatal error occurred).
8) at this point the device did hopefully went to tricolour screen reporting version as 5.09.C-SSPL, this is the SSPL version, which is temporary. then RUU will instantly launch.
9) some notes: when RUU says it will hard reset, do not worry, it is not going to do that. also when it says the flash will take 10 minutes, ignore that, it will only take a minute or so.
10) SPL flashes, device automatically reboots, job done.
11) to confirm you got it installed, go into bootloader mode (tricolour screen!) and verify the screen shows 1.83.OliNex, which is the Hard-SPL version.

NOTE: you will not see the SPL version during normal boot, that is the OS version, not SPL!
to enter SPL to check version, do a soft reset while holding the "volume down" key on the left side of the device. keep holding the volume down key until you see tricolour screen which is the bootloader mode, then release it.

NOTE 2: this is unsigned Hard-SPL. no limitations on flashing ROMs. also, this has overwrite protection against HTC RUU's overwriting HSPL with a stock one, so if someone needs to revert to stock SPL for warranty reasons, a stock SPL downgrade package is posted here below. use this relocker *only* if you need to return the phone for warranty, and only use it as last step - after reflashing stock OS and radio. see steps at the end of this post about how to reflash stock SPL.

NOTE 3: anyone having problems with the device entering SSPL automatically, please copy SSPL-Manual-Topaz.exe from SSPL-Manual-Topaz.zip attachment in this post, copy it to the device and run it. then once the screen is showing SSPL, run the Hard-SPL package on the PC and you must select Manual flash option. *important*: make sure that the USB cable is plugged in and device is synced to Windows Mobile even if doing manual method.

NOTE 4: do not use this RUU for anything other than SPL flashing (i.e. hardspl or stock spl restore)!!! nothing other than SPL's made by Olinex team (using OliNex custom cert, which is not public) will flash to make SSPL more secure. if you want to flash some other rom, then use shipped RUU or topaz customRUU if you need to flash cooked ROM.

NOTE 5: for developers asking: Hard-SPL is not based on MFG SPL, as it can strictly be used for development and hacking, contact cmonex in PM if you need that one.

NOTE 6: supported OS versions: both 32-bit and 64-bit XP, Vista, Windows 7RC and later. win2000 was untested, and pre-RC win7 (lower than build 7100) is explicitly not supported. also, the program may be unstable or not work on Virtual systems, so it's recommended to try outside Virtual OS softwares. also, version verify: if Hard-SPL package says V509R in first Welcome dialog title (and version 5.09 in About box), it is the latest version, not some crappy beta/old version.

firstly:
- read the instructions above.

you've donated and it still doesn't work: if you donated in Manual mode, you didn't enter an IMEI or it was mistyped. if you donate in Automatic mode, that will always work as long as the error message was about the commercial usage. to fix this, please contact us at the support ticket system link and use HardSPL - Paying category!
nothing happens on the device, does not enter tricolour screen mode:
- anyone having problems with the device entering SSPL automatically, you can get SSPL-Manual-Topaz.exe from attachment in this post, copy it to the *device* itself and run it. then once the screen is showing SSPL, run the Hard-SPL package on the PC and select Manual flash option. please do not use Manual flash option for any other purposes.
- please make sure you watch the device screen if it asks about running files (it probably won't, I made sure of that, but just in case, check).
- also you can try unticking advanced usb/network functionality in settings on the device. exact location of this will probably be: start menu / settings / connections / usbtopc applet.
general usb connection error problems
- if you get connection error in RUU after the device goes to x.xx.C-SSPL tricolour screen: make sure device was still synced via USB to the PC at the point of it entering SSPL (the tricolour x.xx.C-SSPL screen) and do not try replugging please, that will probably just crash SSPL.
- it will take a few seconds for the RUU to detect the device, but do not worry, as soon as the "USB" text on the tricolour screen shows up, RUU will see device. if not (happens very rarely), wait for RUU to time out (or wait a few minutes). then remove back cover, reset, it will boot OS again, then you can retry unlocking process.
- try a different USB port
- try different USB cable
- do not touch USB cable during the process especially if it is already a bit dodgy
- also do not use USB hub
- you can also try rebooting your PC
- and you can try using another PC.
- another reason for USB connection error: if your PC takes too long to load the drivers (if your device is in bootloader for the first time and perhaps if you are on vista), then if RUU times out, but device still says "USB" on the tricolour screen, just leave it there and re-run the Hard-SPL package when driver installation finishes - you must use Manual Flash option in such a case.
- finally, you can try disabling antivirus or firewall programs on the PC.
ModelID checking: if SSPL loader says it's for a different model or device, please contact cmonex in PM for testing SPL on that too. check modelid by entering SPL tricolour screen manually and note what it says (TOPA100, or something else). note: currently SSPL accepts any TOPA*****, but if we get notified of an incompatible (CDMA) topaz version, we will instantly modify it to deny those models.
other issues
- if device reports that Enterbootloader.exe fails to run (says missing component or corrupt signature or similar), try a hard reset.
- if device reboots instead of going to SSPL screen (x.xx.C-SSPL), which is very unlikely to happen, then contact us by PM to cmonex. do not PM OliNex user, that is not monitored frequently (and PM's to it are disabled now anyway).
- if none of the above help, read thread for further suggestions, if still nothing, make a post in thread describing all details about the exact situation.

- a new note about Hard-SPL versions: if for some reason you intend to use a stock rom, the Hard-SPL version should match the rom. (for example old 1.8x rom with old Hard-SPL, not 2.51, and so on.) cooked roms shouldn't be an issue.


how to reflash Stock/Shipped SPL - STEP BY STEP - FOR WARRANTY REASONS ONLY!

0. please make sure you already flashed stock ROM and radio, because stock SPL flash is *always* the last step before sending the device in.
1. download the Relocker attachment, extract the zip and run the EXE on your PC
2. if you wish to replace RUU_Signed.NBH that got extracted, feel free to do so, but not necessary, the included one is the 1.33.0000 stock SPL. you can also use 1.83 in attachment to this post (Topaz-StockSPL183_NBH.zip)
3. flash
4. verify if it flashed by checking version in tricolour screen, it should say 1.33.0000 (or 1.83.0000), not 1.33.OliNex.


About UPDATES:

-the last release (V5.09) added:
1. SSPL update supports more devices (especially more recent devices that would not update the SPL to Hard-SPL).
2. HardSPL binary is still 1.83.OliNex, should be fully compatible with HTC's WM6.5 RUU's.
NOTE: v5.00 will tell you to update to v5.09! and older than v5.00 will not work, so don't bother with the old versions.

-previous release 1 (V5.00) added:
1. new HardSPL binary, 1.83.OliNex, should be fully compatible with HTC's WM6.5 RUU's.
2. new SSPL binary, supporting more devices
3. fixes; this version will also tell you in future if you need an update for HardSPL.

-previous release 2 (V3.01) fixed the following 2 issues:
1. if you get this error message: "Please make sure the device is still plugged in and synchronized to the PC"
2. if the SPL version did not change to 1.33.OliNex, but stays on 1.33.0000

It seems that it doenst work on my Topaz.

I used the Topaz-HardSPL_V1_01R1 and Topaz-HardSPL_V1_01R1__NC both in auto mode as well in manual mode.

What I do is connecting the device with WMDC and then run the program, I follow the steps and everything seems to be fine. No errors or whatever. But after its done the old SPL is still there. This is both with the normal one and the NC one.

I also tried to use the manual mode by copying the SSPL-Manual.exe to my phone and run it. After that I use the manual option of Topaz-HardSPL_V1_01R1 and Topaz-HardSPL_V1_01R1__NC.

Before flashing I gave my phone a hard-reset. I read the Instructions but I cannot find an answer. The problem is that I dont get an error or whatsoever.

I tried it on three different computers (Windows XP SP3, Windows Vista SP2 and Windows 7) on all computers I downloaded the files again. So I dont think the problem lays with my computer or that the download is corrupt (because I downloaded the file again on each computer). So I think my phone is the problem, I will flash the original ROM on it again (thats the only choice I have) and lets hope it works.

The info I see in the three colour mode is (after the flash):

Well I think I found something, I reflash my device with the original ROM. After that I connected it to my PC with WMDC. Then I run the Hard-SPL agian (the normal one) and choose for the auto option. Then it restarted and I didnt check if it was successful.

When it was connected again with WMDC I run the installation of the other ROM. The device restart and the update of the new ROM started. On my PC I got a big error that the connection was lost.

The screen of my device became black and after that the update progress started again. I thought that I killed my device but this time the progress took a bit longer so there was some hope that everything would be fine. After a few minutes I saw the message "UPDATE SUCCESSFUL"!!!.

I had put the ROM on my MicroSD card as TopaIMG.NBH so maybe that did the trick. I dont know, the only thing I know is that my device is finally English! And the device has also the Hard-SPL from OliNex.

It seems that it doenst work on my Topaz.

When it goes into the flashing part (after the three colour mode) I see the progress bar going from 0% to 100% and then it restarts. After this I try to flash a custom ROM but it says "ERROR [294] : INVALID VENDER ID" just as before.

Anyone an idea what I can do to give my Topaz an English flavour?

Well I think I found something, I reflash my device with the original ROM. After that I connected it to my PC with WMDC. Then I run the Hard-SPL agian (the normal one) and choose for the auto option. Then it restarted and I didnt check if it was successful.

When it was connected again with WMDC I run the installation of the other ROM. The device restart and the update of the new ROM started. On my PC I got a big error that the connection was lost.

The screen of my device became black and after that the update progress started again. I thought that I killed my device but this time the progress took a bit longer so there was some hope that everything would be fine. After a few minutes I saw the message "UPDATE SUCCESSFUL"!!!.

I had put the ROM on my MicroSD card as TopaIMG.NBH so maybe that did the trick. I dont know, the only thing I know is that my device is finally English! And the device has also the Hard-SPL from OliNex.


some things here are quite unclear.

1) what ROM did you have if not original? (did you use goldcard?) and which is the original ROM?
2) black screen if using a shipped RUU (or customRUU) is totally not normal.
3) flashing from SD doesn't help in the least. especially as you ran the RUU from PC, at the same time??

from 2) and 3) I think you may have confused some things or recall them wrong.
anyway glad it worked in the end.

please do not suggest things that are against the original instructions. :( manual method must only be used if device is already in SSPL tricolour screen (or if device crashed at the point the RUU launched in autoflash mode, but that won't happen anyway as I fixed that issue before release).

@cmonex, of course I mean that he has to use the manual method if he is in the tricolour screen. And I if it does not work than there is nothing lost because I does not work in the first place.

About the problem I had:
1, I did not use a gold card. I had an original Dutch Rom on it and I was trying to put "RUU_Topaz_HTC_WWE_1.39.405.2_Radio_Signed_Topaz_61 .20t.25.10_3.43.25.19_Ship" on my Topaz. And thanks to you and Olipro I have it!
2, I do not know that, it was black for about 10 sec and then it came back to life.
3, as I said I did not know if it helped or not. The only thing I know is that I saw "TopaIMG.NBH" on my screen while flashing the seccond time.

So did i manage to successfully flash the HardSPL???

if not where did i go wrong?

i have select the auto mode,
i followed the instruction,
TD2 goes into tricolour mode,
even the screen where it show 100% also completed,
the phone restart and the "Topaz-HardSPL_V1_01R1.exe" showed that the flashing is successful

My screen shows only "SPL 1.33.0000" is that right? I believe not :confused:. I tried to re flash it but i couldn't do that cause of the 1 license/person "prevention".

It does the same for me I've tried twice on two PC XP SP3 with Activesync 4.5. The second time I have disable Avast.

I used the package "_Topaz-HardSPL_V1_01R1.zip" unzip it et use the automatic method

No errors during the operation (when flashing it's from 0% to 100 % in less of a second.)

The program told me that the update was succesfull.

I've done nothing with the diamond before I was waiting after your job :)

Afert the phone reboot, just to verify I've reseted it (reset button + volume down) and in the 3 colors screen it was indicated : SPL 1.33.0000.

Did I miss something or make something wrong.

Tried HSPL-Packages to flash:

Topaz-HardSPL_V1_01R1
Topaz-HardSPL_V1_01R1__NC
and SSPL-Manual-TopazV1_01R1


Step-by-Step how i did:


Connecting my topaz to PC
Turned it On
Synchronized the Phone with my PC Successfully
Turned off my NOD32 and Firewall
Klicked on Topaz-HardSPL_V1_01R1 and followed the instuctions and waited a bit till the phone connected to my pc.


Now whats happening is:


The screen goes black for a few seconds and the tricolour screen loads..
It beginns to flashing (White Screen) and it jumps from 0% to 100% without any errors or something else.
The phone is rebooting and HSPL - Tool says i have flashed the new ROM successfully.
After reboot i take my phone off and load the tricolor screen (vol. down + on button). The SPL-Version now is: "1.33.0000" instead of "1.33.OliNex".


I have read the instructions and tried everything but nothing helped :confused:.

you did not follow them step by step - as the error message says run manual version "if RUU failed" - you clearly did not even get as far as RUU launching.

what was the exact error text please? the one before the last dialog talking about manual flash/donation.

if you did not try the enablerapi cab fix, then please don't try that yet. I'll send you a version that should work, let me know if you're ready to test and I'll send you that in a PM. :)

it appears those few devices that seem to flash fine but in reality did not take the image, do sometimes succeed.
still, I made a new SSPL based on 1.33 this time (1.01 was based on older), maybe this would be more compatible, would someone who has had this issue help test. PM if so, thanks. :)

Hi, i have tried alot of times and i realised that once the TD2 go into the tricolour mode, the activesync will show disconnect..
i have tried using a different USB port
- try different USB cable
- do not touch USB cable during the process especially if it is already a bit dodgy
- also do not use USB hub
- you can also try rebooting your PC
- and you can try using another PC.
- another reason for USB connection error: if your PC takes too long to load the drivers (if your device is in bootloader for the first time and perhaps if you are on vista), then if RUU times out, but device still says "USB" on the tricolour screen, just leave it there and re-run the Hard-SPL package when driver installation finishes - you must use Manual Flash option in such a case.
- finally, you can try disabling antivirus or firewall programs on the PC.
but it seems that none works..

Hi, installed enablerapinew.cab on the device and tried to flash HardSPL but the same problem exist..
once TD2 goes into tricolour, ActiveSync will disconnect...wait for sometime.. the tricolour screen show USB at the bottom but ActiveSync still show disconnect...
what did i do wrong?

Tried installing automatic twice and a hard reset in between. Nothing happens after ending installation. No changes in spl.

Tried MANUAL SSPL - but device freeze and connex is lost, so no tricolor. Have to SR to get connex back.

Hi, have not been successful so far, RUU seems not to recognize original ROM image - it says flashing from ROM image (then there should be some info about it, but there is not) to olinex ROM image.

Strange problem here, can't find any documentation on this forum. Is it just me?

- Choose the Automatic option
- Click next a few time

Strange problem here, can't find any documentation on this forum. Is it just me?

I did following:

- Hard reset
- Established Activesync connection
- Run Topaz-HardSPL_V1_01R1.exe
- Choose the Automatic option
- Click next a few time

On my Topaz follwoing message apperas in pop-up:

This package is not intended for your device type!!! High chance of bricking.

- I click on x to close this message and start the installation process
- Activesync disconnected
- Error message: ERROR [260] : CONNECTION
- Close installer. Phone still works

i tried a couple more times...
1) download newest Hard-SPL package from Topaz-HardSPL_V1_01R1.zip attachment, extract to an empty folder.
2) you must Have Phone Synced with PC in Windows Mobile!!!
3) NEW: internet access is required as the program checks online for updates and license.
4) run Topaz-HardSPL_V1_01R1.exe on PC, make sure it's launched from a local drive (not through network drive, etc.). XP requires Admin logon, and Vista/Windows 7 will automatically prompt to allow it to run in Admin mode, allow it please. if the exe fails to run or throws an exception (i.e. crashes), try using Topaz-HardSPL_V1_01R1__NC.exe instead from other attachment. if you get an antivirus warning, please ignore it, it contains no harmful code (just used a packer to compress it).
5) follow steps as prompted in the Hard-SPL program. if this is the first run of Hard-SPL on a device after hard reset, you must select Autoflash mode (the first button in Welcome screen). you should usually go for Autoflash mode; the Manual flash option is only to be used as noted below (in NOTE 3 and in troubleshooting section) and you must only attempt manual mode if Autoflash mode or SSPL-Manual.exe already put device in tricolour mode/or device froze. any other errors triggered while running in Autoflash mode will have to be fixed as instructed in the error message.
6) it will ask you to wait while it prepares for the flashing, press OK.
7) now it should go through without any error messages, if one does pop up, then please follow the instructions included in the error text. if no instruction is included, instead only a big dialog that says the Hard-SPL process closed early (and asks about donation before fully closing it), then PM cmonex, but this should not ever occur (as this means a really fatal error occurred).
8) at this point the device did hopefully went to tricolour screen reporting version as 1.01.C-SSPL, this is the SSPL version, which is temporary. then RUU will instantly launch.
9) some notes: when RUU says it will hard reset, do not worry, it is not going to do that. also when it says the flash will take 10 minutes, ignore that, it will only take a minute or so.
10) SPL flashes, device automatically reboots, job done.
11) to confirm you got it installed, go into bootloader mode (tricolour screen!) and verify the screen shows 1.33.OliNex, which is the Hard-SPL version.

EVERYTHING is as explained in the howto - with the exception of step 11 - as this is where i get 1.33 0000

Hope now is clear.

I disabled Norton - both anti-virus and firewall - extracted the .exe file, activesync the Topaz, and then ran the .exe file, and the flash was completed in a few minutes. Many thanks. Donations were made before flashing.

Hi,
I've a UK o2 sourced td2 that has been failing to take the update, as per other posts. It completes the update with no errors, but the spl still shows 1.33.0000.

I re-downloaded the file in the first post, this time on another pc that I had turned off my AV program prior to downloading it (Trend Micro). I then copied the file to my usual pc (after turning off AV on that too), flashed my td2 and it worked!! Hurrah!!

I hope this method works for others that have had this issue.

Also, many many thanks to cmonex for your efforts, very much appreciated.

clearly KyBO can invoke something that fixes the problem (we have been testing and he is able to flash many times in a row if he does it right), but we did not recognize the exact condition yet, and we need that to fully correct the HSPL process.
what we know so far is that it may help to reset your device (especially if you do a full power off of it by removing battery, etc) but this is not sufficient.

perhaps disable DEP if you have it fully turned on. also make sure the EXE is not corrupt.

also, I just checked, your exception is due to "ACCESS_VIOLATION". so make sure no other programs are locking the EXE file. make sure it is running on a local drive, not on a network drive, and extract the zip before running it. (all of this is in the 1st post so learn to read, too.)

After this i retried it, and with succes. It now says 1.33.Olinex.

Originally, I couldn't get it to install SPL-1.01.C-SSPL, I always got the early exit error with the donation notice.

I then turned off bluetooth and it could work. It installed SSPL and restarted to the Tri-color Screen.

However, after displaying the "verifying the information on your PDA phone ... " for a while I got Error [260] : Connection.

So, with the phone still on the tri-color screen, I've restarted the software and selected manual (since, as it says, I've already run and gotten to the tricolor screen with SPL-1.01.C-SSPL). However, exactly the same thing happens.

Any ideas?

I didn't need to put the manual.exe on mine.

I did need to remove and allow the USB drivers to be installed with my virus software disabled.

I should note, the initial problem still seems to have been Bluetooth. I tried all this first on my XP box and I got the early error screen.

After turning off bluetooth, I was able to get to the tricolor screen, but got the communication error.

The cause seems to be that the USB driver wasn't installed properly.. I removed it, disabled auto protect on my antivirus and reconnected the device, searched for new hardware.

This it installed without an error icon next to it (the usb driver in device manager).

All is well. I've just flashed a new ROM from xda-china.com

make sure you had connected with internet access.
i'm only have modem link and using my device as modem.
so i pluging my kaiser to internet sharing, and pluging my topaz with another usb cable for activesync. everything working nice on just less than 2 minutes...

I'm facing the same problem as Kybo had while performing the flash. Untill now I have tried all the proposed solutions on the forum but none of them worked.
I bought my device from SFR (French Vodafone) and removed the simlock yesterday. After that I extracted the ROM (in case i need to send it back). So today I was planning to finally remove the annoying SFR intergration but it seems that my device, or my systems (4 in total, 2x vista 32, and 2x 7 RC 64) has some difficulties in doing that.

Is there anyone having a SFR TD2 with a succesfull hard-spl??

Never mind, apparently in one of the 20 attempts i succeeded. The problem is that the flashing goes instantly from 0% to 100% in a second, which made me think that it failed again. So my advise: check after every time you flash!!

I installed from the Micro SD card... Give it a try and it might work for you too ;)

Edit : Sorry, I meant if the ROM won't flash after installing HSPL try to flash from Micro SD card. Sorry for not making what I meant clear.

I did everything exactly as the above. I also disabled my virusscan and firewall. Removed the USB drivers first. Synced with Activesync on XP before running the manual.exe. All flashing goes well, until I enter the bootloader screen by pressing the down volume button in combination with the soft reset hole: the tricolor screen blinks and quickly shows a message such as "No image file" and then shows the "SPL-1.33.0000" line in the tricolor screen.

Completely hopeless I tried another USB port and cable...finally this worked!

So Guys!

I tried now a few ways to flash HSPL and the most successful way for me is:

1. Copy the EnterBootloader.exe on your device
2. Start that and wait until the Bootloader is present and the USB connection is up!
3. Start Topaz-HardSPL_V1_01R1 and choose the manual way..

- When its freezes on grey screen @ 0% - Make a automatic flash and then try again.
- Sometimes it may help to hard reset your device before you try flashing hspl.


Please be sure your Antivirus etc. is deactivated!

And it may be useful to know what you see under "TP MFG DATA" in bootloader.

You shouldn't do that on Windows 7.. Anyway.. Rightclick on exe, choose properties and on Compatibility tab, choose Windows Vista .. That may help but no guarantee for nothing!

Okay try again, when its freezing the 2nd time then try "SSPL-Manual-TopazV1_01R1".. Copy that file onto your device, start it and run manual flashing.

It freezes my phone when i tap the file "SSPL-Manual-TopazV1_01R1" to run.

Tried to flash HardSPL my TD2 using Windows 7 (7201) x64. Had a bugger of a time with Norton Client Security deleting the program everytime I tried unpacking it.

All seems to proceed fine to the end, but bootloader tricolor screen still showing SPL 1.33.000.

Phone unlocked and unbranded unit from HK.

So Guys!

I tried now a few ways to flash HSPL and the most successful way for me is:

1. Copy the EnterBootloader.exe on your device
2. Start that and wait until the Bootloader is present and the USB connection is up!
3. Start Topaz-HardSPL_V1_01R1 and choose the manual way..

- When its freezes on grey screen @ 0% - Make a automatic flash and then try again.
- Sometimes it may help to hard reset your device before you try flashing hspl.


Please be sure your Antivirus etc. is deactivated!

And it may be useful to know what you see under "TP MFG DATA" in bootloader.


please, please, HTC's enterbootloader.exe will not help people who don't have HSPL yet. you already have it installed, so of course it works for you. will not work in place of SSPL though!

I tried to run Hard-SPL on my TD2. But when i run in auto mode, it fails with an error message

"Data file corrupted, contact us for help for try again later (after 1 hour)"

I tried the manual method, but it freezes my phone. I check the USB sync settings and its ok, just the first option is selected.

Can you please help me solve this issue.

the TP MFG DATA needs to be checked when in SSPL, not in the SPL 1.33
but it doesn't really matter. I guess your topaz has the same crappy hynix flash as some other topaz's. try miromi's way (#222) if no good, then PM me and we can sort this out somehow

As the automatic flashing didn't work to flash any other rom I tried the manual flash for HardSPL which is succesfully completed 100% it says but after that when I try to flash another ROM it's stick on 0% (doesn't happen anything for 10 minutes)

What can I try?

I first did these steps in Windows 7, I thought that maybe could be the reason but in XP it does exactly the same to my device..

Also when I go manually in the bootloader it says 1.33.0000..
and not 1.33 Olinex.

Well, I would imagine since it is a company PC, you probably don't have the option to switch the Virus Scan off (if you can, then by all mean do so!). Just try it out on a personal PC that would allow you to switch it off and rerun.

Mine didn't work at first, always get the SPL-1.33.0000 on the tricolor screen. Tried what others suggested but still no luck.

Then I read kiter25 post about trying another usb port, well it works. Maybe others who have the same problem can try that.

then please PM cmonex for a new version, that should work. we will release it here after officially testing it.

sorry, i didnt explain it clearly.

after you copied the manual update .exe file to d2, you should run it in step 7, and update it with manual flash. just follow instructions mentioned before.
