hi! as you can see in the title, i want to flash my spl to install a shipped french rom. actually my phone's spl is 1.56.0000 and my rom is a dutch one.
i would like to install the french 6.1
is there any hope to do this without the usb?
nb, i'm running vista on my pc

Correct me if I am wrong but I believe that this file has to be run directly from the phones main memory. You do have options 1. to dl directly to your phone 2. if you have a card reader you can put the file on your SD card and then move it over to your phone.

i took the risk to change my rom without hard spl, but it was the official rom...
now my phone works great and my spl is 3.29.0000 and my CPLD-8
can i load another ROM, an official one but in my motherlanguage? or will i brick my phone?

You should be able to flash a different Language ROM using the GoldCard method. It has been discussed many times on other devices (the newer ones without Hard SPL). It will allow you to flash signed ROMs (not custom ROMs) from other languages. It involves using QMAT to generate a gold card. (I've not tried it so I can't advise on the exact steps.) Sorry.
