Microsoft needs to make better games/apps for windows mobile. Similar to the iphone games/apps because this is why most people buy the iphone; for the games and apps. Microsft needs to build there own games and apps that run smoother and look better. Maybe make a deal with apple and use there apps but convert them to be playable on wm devices.

How to make the games better:

- Focus on a single device e.g HTC touch HD (blackstone)
- or focus on building games/apps that just use the touch screen and accelerometer or g-sensor.
- make the games/apps have better graphics.
- make the games/apps have smoother images not like the old men application that are out at the momment.
- make the game actually run smoother.
- build a software version of multitouch screen
- basically copy the iphone apps/games.

I'm not an iphone fan and i will never buy them but i just want microsoft to build better apps/games just like the one on the iphone. Becuase lets face it the iphone is beating windows mobile by a long shot.

Build this as a service pack not a new os because you seem to be taking to long the build a new os. And speed things up becuase before you know it if you take a year to bring this out then apple will be ahead of you again
Fix it microsoft!!!!!!!

- Focus on a single device e.g HTC touch HD (blackstone) That's where your opinion is duped, Apple is about resitriction and focusing one item, Microsoft focuses and gives freedom for everyone to choose how they want to use the OS, you should say they should focus on WVGA games and possible VGA games and to push makers to concentrate on those screen resolutions
- or focus on building games/apps that just use the touch screen and accelerometer or g-sensor. Games already exist that use the Gsensor, as mentioned above, Microsoft lets the makers choose however if it had no choice to support it's device such as the XBOX360 then you will see a larger amount of support
- make the games/apps have better graphics. Again the hardware is there, stronger than the iPhone even but Microsoft should push developers to this ideal of better games, not just better graphics
- make the games/apps have smoother images not like the old men application that are out at the moment. Refer back to how not all WinMO phones are the same
- build a software version of multitouch screen Resistive is better than Capacitive because you can use anything to control the screen, however multitouch becomes a problem without new hardware (which has been made)
- basically copy the iphone apps/games. How about no, there is hardly any quality stuff for the iPhone anyways, if you reckon stuff like iFart are worthwhile apps then get the iPhone. Each OS is made for different types of crowds. The games made for the iPhone can easily be made for the WinMO but my first point is that not all WinMo phones have the same hardware and screen resolution so it is 3 times the trouble to make a game for all WinMo phones (WQVGA, QVGA, WVGA)

ms do with wm as they do with normal windows
focusing on a single hardware platform would be like
them focusing on dell pc's only

i agree (with responders) at the end of the day yes its a drab os and its got faults but id reather have these isues than be restricted by microsoft to what i can and cant do, i reckon if they did just do the iphone thing wede be all moving to linux or android not the iphone

also why do people commit to windows mobile (i know recently its gotten more finger and gaming friendly, but its still a business os)

and complain

I agree with you 'Psygnosis84' saying "- Focus on a single device e.g HTC touch HD (blackstone) That's where your opinion is duped, Apple is about resitriction and focusing one item, Microsoft focuses and gives freedom for everyone to choose how they want to use the OS, you should say they should focus on WVGA games and possible VGA games and to push makers to concentrate on those screen resolutions"

I feel that the games that are out for windows mobile are rubbish and as a result they don't sell very well. There are a lot of good games for the Iphone like 'crash nitro kart'
and 'super monkey ball'

Maybe there should be one company that focuses on making these games. All i ever see is people askng if they can play iphone games on windows mobile. And this company should focus on VGA and WVGA. I think both windows mobile would benifit from this but there is no companies that want to spend a lot of time making games for windows mobile because it hard to build game that look good, run smooth, and is finger friendly on windows mobile. You would have to spend a lot of time to build a games like this. Most of the games already built for windows mobile aren't built properly. They skip corners which makes them run unsmooth. Most of the game companies are building games for the iphone now because its easy to build the software and a lot more people buy the iphone.

It really sounds like you just need to get yourself an iphone. You seem to be more interested in a full touchscreen gaming platform with a phone attached than anything else. WM is moreso for adults who want need full PIM functionality as well as powerusers that like to tweak.

I want my ham sandwich to be more like a taco, but sometimes, life is cruel.
