View Full Version : artemis USPL - improvements

I was asked to patch USPL for ROM size checking when flashing via RUU, so this version does not check size even when flashing via USB. (original SPL skips the size checks only when SD flashing.)
I did this a few days ago, but didn't get around to posting it
download from attachment, enjoy! donations are always appreciated to the "To Cmonex" link in my signature :D
how to use it: if you already have a version of artemis USPL installed, simply flash this new version using RUU or from SD (ARTEIMG.NBH on FAT32 formatted SD)
in bootloader (tricolour mode) it should then say version: 1.11.cmon
for instructions on installing any USPL if you have no USPL yet - check out: http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=311403 until I have more time/motivation for userfriendly packaging
more plans: if I get time/motivation I might upgrade this to be full HSPL (overwrite protection)

it's the same process.
The difference is that you can flash any rom without size limits.
Before you only could do this with SD Card method.

I want to thank you very much for this useful work. However I couldn't try it yet :) Because at the end of the rom update utility application (I mean %100) it gives a error 270 udate error image file corrupted. Please check your update utility I have tried all these attempts while my phone is at the bootloader mode.
Thank you in advance

Can I just replace the RUU_USPL_signed.nbh file with the one from the "Artemis Update SPL (USPL) v.01 - Another way to flash *ANY* rom to your device" thread? (http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=311403)

Whenever I try to upgrade my SPL to uspl_cmon, I get this error code 260, either in xp or windows 7.
I can do all, like flash ROMs, but this one I've not been able.
Help me, I tried all I can, I tried in XP, uncheck the "Allow USB connection" while in bootloader mode in WMDC. but till now I have not been able to update SPL to cmon uspl.

Dopod P800W
IPL 1.25.0001
SPL 1.27.0000
GSM 02.69.90 (I think this is Radio)
OS 1.25.0.0
I have tried hard reset my phone, then running 1.11 , results in white screen for about 5 minutes ( do I need to wait longer ?)
then I tried running 1.11 cmon, which also results in white screen as well.
can I follow the guide above, since my SPL is abit higher?
Ive downloaded Andrew82 WM6.1 ROM, waiting to flash to that..
