Hi all, after following all the FAQs/instructions I upgraded my vogue on Telus to 6.5 and installed the Telus carrier cab and the GPS registry fix.

My GPS still doesn't seem to be working though - in particular, under settings there is no GPS detected and therefore the hardware port is not set to anything. Does anyone know the settings to the TELUS vogue to make it work? I've only tested iGo 8 so far, which doesn't detect a GPS. I will probably try iGuidance 4 on it soon also, but so far I can't seem to figure it out.

Any help would be great! Thanks!

Did you run the Bell ROM first to get your radio up to 3.42.50 or something similar?

He doesn't need to. The current Telus Radio is 3.41.00 which is high enough. Running his own radio will help with carrier provisioning as well.

From a fellow Canadian who knows lots of Telus Vogue owners that is good enough.

Where you errored was the gps registry fix. That is for Verizon users.

1. Reflash your Telus 6.1 Stock ROM, let all customizations run
2. Reflash V8 (or wait for V9) from bootloader
3. Hard reset
4. run Telus carrier cab

Done.......load google maps and the GPS should work.

Thanks jmitr. I'll give it a try since V9 is out and I'm going to upgrade anyways.

What's strange is on the NFSFAN page 238 rom, those GPS cabs are listed for all providers other than Bell, and Telus does have one (that's the one I used) that's separate from the VZW one. I guess that should be clarified somewhere.

Thanks again! I'll let you all know how it goes.
