I've been waiting for a decent TF3D2 ROM with 6.1, everyone else seems to be doing 6.5! 6.5 just doesn't seem suited for our good ol' diamonds.
Your ROM is perfect though. I haven't encountered any bugs so far, very great. Moved from Shaks v4.3 btw, just to try out the new TF3D2, and I'm loving it! Thanks for this great release. And the orange boot screen is fantastic, gives me such a warm feeling :)

just updating you guys, had my first exam today (was pretty good :p)
now about R1.2, i'm really trying to get this built-from-scratch manila package to work, it fixes so many problems (menu in world clock, calendar weather, scroll in tab customization etc.), but the time zone bug is very annoying (basicly the time on your device doesn't change, but when you sync, all your appointments are 1 hour behind)
hopefully i'll get that quirk out, but if not, i'll just have to go with the current one with the updated "events & updates" tab
i also changed the customization proces a bit, so now connectionsetup will run after the soft reset which makes the customization proces much shorter
i can't reply to every bug or every message but i am keeping track of this thread so don't worry, keep the bug reports & feedbacks coming :)
I'm not so sure about adding Opera 9.70 beta, i heard its pretty fast but i don't know if including a beta in the rom is a good idea. Opera 9.5 is installed in customization so you can always uninstall it and install 9.7.
The only thing i'm really hoping for is that the Rhodium PhoneCanvas VGA will be released soon, that's really something i hope to get into R1.2

rhodium has support for video calling and also has this unique landscape conference calling mode, besides that it's native GSM (not dual mode like tachi), doesn't require a seperate TaskBar Icon Manager, doesn't require SlotManager

yozgatg I do have noticed one major issue in your roms, both in 1.0 and 1.1. This problem is pretty strange.
It happened to me, many times with 1.0 and once with 1.1, that soft resetting the device while an application is hung up, after the restart the diamond hard reset itself.
The last time with 1.1, I was downloading a file with opera, tried to go back from the download page to the web page and Opera hung up. Went back to Home with the Home button. Everything was working except opera that was still running in the background. I did a reset with the stylus and the device hard resetted itself.
With 1.0 it happened to me everytime I went to the Start menu (the Manila 2 one), and when going back to other manila tabs, the softkeys remained the ones of the start menu (Left: All programs - Right: Remove). At that point everytime I softresetted, the device did an hard reset. No programs installed.
I managed to install your cab going back to the original start menu, and removed the Programs tab in Manila with TF3D2 tweaks, and looks like everything is running fine, but I do have never experienced anything like this in any previous rom.
Now, whenever I need to soft reset, I power off the phone instead, and it doesn't hard reset in this way.
Other than this, your rom is the best I have ever had on my phone (came from your WM6.5 rom).

Hi, as posted earlier, this ROM is fantastic, there are only two things that I might request:

1. I cant find the Audio Booster app installed, is there any chance of including it? I have downloaded and installed it now, but would be great if it was included :D

2. I wanted to set the default location for photos by the camera to /Internal Storage/DCIM/100Media. I checked Advanced Config and noticed it was already set as default, so I tried to set it again and soft reset, and it still goes to My Pictures.

These are only minor, and probably shouldnt have bothered requesting, but they would be nice.

I have been using the v1.1 for a few days, it is very stable and fast. However, I encounter the Wifi issue which is very annoying. It keeps connecting and disconnecting, and it never establish a connection.

I have tried soft reset and hard reset, can not correct the problem.
Any suggestion?

In this ROM my Wifi works perfectly, however I have experienced connection problems in other ROMS. I found that if I went into the WIFI settings and changed the power management mode from "Best Battery" to "Best Performance" my problems went away at the cost of some battery life.

Worth a try anyway.

I found one bug but it doesnt't bothers me.When i press settings on programs tab it appears the start menu and the settings from behind.It's a minor issue.

A question regarding the Tasks application: When a task occurs it's not possible choose for how long the tasks should be snoozed (5 min, 15 min, 1 hour, 1 day) as I'm used to from before. Any idea on how to enable this?

Well I did post before that I didnt have problems. Turns out I have the same problems as you..

My device resetted itself 5 times now. 2 of them were hard resets, the other 3 were soft resets and made the initial customization setup start again.

I noticed that whenever it happens I get an incoming sms. The sms comes in, the device gets stuck, resets and all my messages are gone. Just the messages, all the other pims are intact (in case of the soft-reset of course). Then the device is slow as a snale, not functional at all.

The last time it happened was last night. I did make a restore of my contacts and Im waiting with my installs and customizations untill version 1.2 is out. I hope this will be resolved in that version.

P.S. Not really important but just wondering; Yozgatg, will you include the new Opera Mobile in 1.2??

for eng rom, u need to install at lease one chinese font support. I suggest to use Kuma Studio chinese support. Try search at Internet, it will add the Chinese (Taiwan) even HKSAR in regional setting.

Hi, I really love you ROM. I am Italian but you made me witch to a WWE rom cause I find you rom very fast and battery friendly.

I have only a little problem, I find the audio in-call to be very low. I have tryed to user the audiopara3.csv file and the Diamond Tweak application. Any other way I can boost the volume? Even if it is too loud and it crakles a little bit is ok with me. Thank you for your rom and for your help

Hi, just flashed this rom. Almost bug free.

I found that on the bluetooth setting using comm manager, the back and advanced soft keys have no effect when pressed.

That work just fine with me...

I have now found the clear storage option. I posted a little prematurely as being new to the ROM couldn't find my system options. After discovering the "all settings" under the manilla settings I have tried a clear storage.

Looking forward to trying the ROM!

Those icons look great. I already installed v1.4 of them on your ROM, since the black & white ones are a little boring :p

This is a really great ROM, fast and simple, hardly any bugs.

I do notice that after a few days of use the memory use creeps up to 79% (22 MB free). That's still enough to run TomTom though, so I'm not complaining ;)

However, I doubt that this would fix my problem, since I'm sure that it has something to do with incoming messages. The message PIM gets corrupted somehow, which makes the phone hang and reset.

Personally I don't like any kind of multicolored icons in the taskbar, but it's up to the cook as Thejackal_71 said. However he decides: Is there a way to get the original icons back?

a. When I am a call and then a second call came in, when I switch to the second call, there is no sound? Please let me know.
b. How to turn off the screen turn off feature during the call? The dialer is very nice and has lock feature and I need to get to the keyboard to get to my voicemail. Right now the only way to get the screen back is to turn on the unit again. I tried nosleep cab but has the same thing. I will try the Touch_InCall_Screen_Tweak v1.1.2.CAB and will report later.

Personally I don't like any kind of multicolored icons in the taskbar, but it's up to the cook as Thejackal_71 said. However he decides: Is there a way to get the original icons back?

A question regarding the Tasks application: When a task occurs it's not possible choose for how long the tasks should be snoozed (5 min, 15 min, 1 hour, 1 day) as I'm used to from before. Any idea on how to enable this?

While listening to some mp3's I discovered that after the phone goes into power saving mode (screen switches off), Manila switches to the Home tab. Annoying! I was listening to music on the Music tab and would like Manila to keep that one selected after power saving.

Yeah Energy ROM didn't do it for me either. Manila was always crashing and there wasn't enough memory to install and/or run the apps I wanted. Not trying to disrespect another chef's work, just personally, this ROM suits me better.

Forget Energy until they sort out the crashes. Remember folks, this guy is making these ROM's in his own time for nothing in return. I don't think added pressure from us being impatient will help at all, it is more likely it will make the good chefs run away, for example, Dutty, his roms are no longer on his webpage or at least I can only find the stock ones.

Only issue I have is sms not working quite well. When I reply to an sms in the TF3D environment and hit send, it doesn't send the message 80% of the time. So for now I'm using the WM sms environment, that seems to work 100%.

Its real speed and so far a awsome Rom!

But i have a big problem, i´m using the Diamond in my car as an navigation system and mp3 player to connect the Diamond to the audio system of the car and to the power i use the original HTC Touch Diamond Multifunction Audio Cable YC A300, everytime when i connect the YC A300 to the Diamond and have some programs running (i mostly use AC´s S2P and Navigon 7 at same time) and press then the Home Button to go back to the Home Screen of TF3D2 (to switch from navigon to s2p or so....) the Diamond hangs complete and i have to do an Soft Reset or the Diamond makes a Soft Reset for itself!????:( :confused::confused:::o
When i do the same without connected the YC A300 to the Diamond, there is no problem it works perfect!? I have tested this now about 50 times with and without YC A300 with it hangs (or softreset it self) at 99% when i press the home button while running S2P or Navigon, without 50 times no problems!??? :confused:
Maybe it depends on the Windows Mobile Build you use for this Rom!? Do you use a other build for R1.2? Any other user of YC A300 + R1.1 have the same problem????
The other i have seen whats different from the original and all other custom roms i have tryed yet is that with the Gen.Y D2 R.1 the Diamond regocgnize the YC A300 as an Bluetooth Headset??? :confused: On the original HTC 1.93 Rom it was regocgnize at a Stereo Headset, and on other custom Roms they didn´t recognize something.......

The ROM does still recognize it as a Stereo Headset, the Tachi TaskBarIcon Manager translations come from Chinese so they might not always be reliable. (i just tested this with the standard HTC headset, the notification then is Bluetooth: Stereo Headset Connected, whereas if u connect a Bluetooth headset it will say Bluetooth: Bluetooth Stereo Headset Connected)

I have no idea what causes your issue, all i can say is wait for R1.2, test it again and report back to me, i'll see what i can do

Also HTC GPS fix and audio skipping are integrated yes

now about R1.2, i fixed some small quirks and missing translations that were still in, so everything is on track now, release might even be in a couple of hours ;)

I still cant get my mind around the need for having UC in roms other than a one off gee wiz factor. I used it for a while about a year ago, but soon came to realise that the difference between whats cooked into each ROM negates much of its usefulness. By the time you fiddle around re arranging the CABs folder for each new rom you might as well have just loaded the cabs manually. So my point is - don't bust your guts trying to include it.

PagePool changer said the R1.2 rom's pagepool is 16MB. The first post said it is 12MB. Which one is recommended?

Anyway I am changing it to 12MB and see how it goes.

Edit: changed the pagepool to 12MB and upgraded to the rom without any issue so far. doing some testing now.

Both 3's 3G and Telstra's GSM networks work fine with my phone as well. What I mean is I want to use Telstra's NextG network - their 3G network on the 850 frequency. This is way faster than the GSM network. So, instead of showing "3G 3" on Home, it should show "3G Roaming". I tried to lock it to the WCDMA band in phone setting but the phone simply can't register on the network.

I wonder if I need a new sim card from 3 to enable this. By the way, I am in Melbourne as well.

Ahh I see what you mean, I was out of town over the weekend and didn't notice better coverage compared with my friend on Telstra whom had great coverage, so obviously it's not working. Possibly due to the SIM or ROM. I'm not sure.

Ahh I see what you mean, I was out of town over the weekend and didn't notice better coverage compared with my friend on Telstra whom had great coverage, so obviously it's not working. Possibly due to the SIM or ROM. I'm not sure.

you misunderstood me. I don't mean 3 telstra or Edge. I mean Telstra's NextG network (3G, NOT GSM). With the recent announce deal, all 3 customers can roam to Telstra's NextG 3G network (e.g. the "H" icon), as long as the phone supports 850 frequency.

The HTC Camera has a slight rotation issue with the new SensorSDKv4: the camera will only remember the rotation info at startup, so if u fire up camera in landscape (portait) mode, all your pictures will be taken in landscape (portrait) mode (even if u change the rotation when taking pictures). The only way to resolve this issue is to install the old SensorSDK. But the old SensorSDK has some disavantages:
* No native HTC rotation in Calculator (and any added apps in G-Config), requires 3rd party software for rotation (like ChangeScreen)
* While zooming in on a picture in AlbumV3 in landscape mode, the picture will turn to portait and some sort of overlapping occurs. The zoomed image however display fine, it only happens while you're zooming.

Maybe I am misunderstanding this clock bug thing, but just want to be clear.

I live in Taipei and if I set my world clock to Taipei (GMT +8) my timezone suddenly shifts to Seoul, South Korea (GMT +9) which makes my other world clock cities off by an hour not to mention my appointments. But the weather in the calendar tab still works for Taipei.

If I them go to the Windows Mobile clock settings and change the timezone back to Taipei (GMT +8), then everything works ok.....until I happen to enter the world clock or alarm screens in TF3D...when I enter the world clock, my "default" clock has changed to "Beijing/HK (GMT+8)" which is expected and explained in the release notes...But as soon as I exit the world clock view (even without changing anything), my calendar weather has disappeared.

Is that what the "clock bug" is normally. If so I guess the only thing to do is avoid ever entering the world clock view after getting it working correctly.

Not complaining, just want to make sure I'm not doing something wrong. :)

Is anyone else using Tom Tom Navigator? If so have you had any luck working out how to get to rotate with the included Makeveral G-Config utility? As far as I can tell in can't be done. So I have been forced to uninstall it and revert to FlipIt which is bullet proof and works with everything.

Open G-config and add TOMTOM to the app list.. Should work?!

Edit; you have to have tomtom open at that stage and also need to softreset to get it to register. Works for me!

Pull out stylus, open G-Config and add application. It will tell you to open the application you want to add, in this case TomTom. After starting tomtom put stylus back in and the application is added.

Also, my suggestion to the development of this ROM is to integrate Opera 9.7, replacing existing 9.5 .

i like this ROM but for me she has too many programs which are not very necessary, like Mp3 trimmer, voice recorder, opera (i would like to choice to install Navigator i want)... etc
A more light version with TF3D2 could be a good idea to offer the opportunity of a better personnalisation and free RAM..

this is not a bug, it's a feature of the new album, basicly if u rotate your phone, the UI will rotate but the picture will always fill up the screen (check Diamond2 for reference, it's the same)

6 last icons will be removed in the next release, these only work with newer manila executables (but combining them with current files makes TF3D2 very buggy)

hey..thanks a lot for the ROM :) Its fast and memory management is @ its best.

I have this issue with in call volume control. The volume level jumps back to max each time i change it. Also, lowering the volume has no effect.

Otherwise, no issues for my day to day use :)

Well I tried this one and it does add the image you want but it is deformed once on the Diamond. It deforms it in a strange way though, when the software converts your image it is spliced into two, a lower section and upper section. The upper section is squashed vertically with the lower section remaining as designed. Try it, make an image in photoshop or summit 640 x 480 and put a perfect circle on it on a plain background. Set it as your background using the software and you will see it deformed once applied on the diamond.

I like this rom! I't very fast. I'm Italian and I confirm the issue of "IDS...." but I don't like the sms management. Can I set the old manila style when I click on a sms in the touchflo?I want that when I click on a sms in the touchflo it opens the sms and I don't want to see all sms as new manila.

Thanks for your work onthis rom but I am having problems

I have installed the cab to revert to normal menu and add the programs tab. well if I try to add a File Explorer link to the top row locations on the program tab it does not load.

If I try to add ANY link to some of the program buttons near the bottom of the page, or the lower rows no icon will stick. You try to add but once selected from all programs it remains empty, no icon. It appears to be the last two rows will not take any program shortcut.

If you add the note icon you get an error 'Cannot open note'

I have covered many hard resets, possibly an initial flashing problem, may re flash tonight.

Mate you are a genius. Been tearing my hair out getting this to work. "Put stylus back in" finally makes sense to me. I read "insert stylus" to mean TAP with the stylus somewhere within the application. The same way as you would insert a mouse pointer inside a window. I totally misunderstood the meaning of "insert stylus" in the G-Config documentation. Thankyou.

Hmm i'm going to post a fix on the first post for those who are still having problems with appointments being 1 hour ahead. The time zone files are adjusted to fix the Daylight Savings issue, but since it's autmn-winter there, yours should work fine with the original time zone files. (i'll upload a cab in ~15min)

Continuing on from my theme of premature accolades in the previous post... Earlier today after loading D2 R1.2, my device spontaneously hard reset itself. After it reset TF3D kept crashing when switching tabs. Seemingly the main memory had become corrupted. Strange since I had only flashed across from D2 R1.0. Anyhow, as I cant run MTTY on my Vista setup I used the alternate procedure of flashing a stock ROM and then reflashing D2 R1.2. This fixed things up for me. I noticed that there is a facebook integration in regards to contacts. How do I log on to receive updates? I have not skimmed through the thread as it is too big, tried google search but couldn't find anything definite.

After it reset TF3D kept crashing when switching tabs. Seemingly the main memory had become corrupted. Strange since I had only flashed across from D2 R1.0. Anyhow, as I cant run MTTY on my Vista setup I used the alternate procedure of flashing a stock ROM and then reflashing D2 R1.2. This fixed things up for me. ...The time zone files are adjusted to fix the Daylight Savings issue, but since it's autmn-winter there, yours should work fine with the original time zone files. (i'll upload a cab in ~15min) That makes sense because it was incorrectly showing my location as having summer time when it currently does not. Sort of like a fiddle had been done in Word Time to fix a northern summer issue that propagated through to the non summer time zones..

Yes this fixes it. I can tell straight away because it brings the two cities Brisbane and Melbourne back into the + 10 zone. When the fault was there Melbourne showed + 11 and Brisbane + 10 and this is because only Melbourne has summer time.

So I suspect to clarify - effected users will be people that live beneath the equator AND live in time zones that implement summer time. Cities like Brisbane, Perth and Darwin in Australia that do not have summer and that is why Brisbane was working for me as a proxy.

I like this rom! I't very fast. I'm Italian and I confirm the issue of "IDS...." but I don't like the sms management. Can I set the old manila style when I click on a sms in the touchflo?I want that when I click on a sms in the touchflo it opens the sms and I don't want to see all sms as new manila.

FYI this timezone issues was actually fixed with V1.1 however V1.2 the bug is still there

Hmm i'm going to post a fix on the first post for those who are still having problems with appointments being 1 hour ahead. The time zone files are adjusted to fix the Daylight Savings issue, but since it's autmn-winter there, yours should work fine with the original time zone files. (i'll upload a cab in ~15min)

Thanks in advance for the help. I love the ROM and haven't had any other problems besides the Time Zone issue. Hopefully the cab cures it.

In case this makes a difference, there some countries (Taiwan included) do not use Daylight savings time. We're the same all year around here. :D

Edit: oops. the DST Cab's already up. Trying now.....Woohoo it works perfectly now. Yes the Timezone changes from Taipei (GMT+8) to Beijing (GMT+8) but that's fine with me as long as the time and appointments are correct! Nice Work! Also, the weather now works perfectly in the calendar tab.

In order for the weather to show in the calendar tab, you need to set the default city in "world clock" to the same city as your weather tab. Works fine for me.

In Advanced Config (in the settings tab) you can set the "volume increase" setting to high. That should raise your volume. (the default is medium) You can also remove the 100db limitation there. Haven't actually tested it myself, because the volume is ok for me as is, but you can try it.

I admit I'm probably asking stupid things but: Have you created your Facebook Account already? Do you have friends on Facebook?

Make sure that the surname and the last name are exactly same on the Facebook and on your Diamond phone book.

Going to try it :) Do you have any tips on adding my own town in the weather database. I tried several ways (throught HTC weathermaster and by editing myself through SQL editor) but keeps crashing TF3D when I add my own city :).

You are right about Background4AllPages didn't work, I encounter the same problem. However, I got into the control panel through the setting tab>all setting and uninstall the cab. Followed by a soft rest and the Home screen is back.

mUn Background4AllPages was built for the standard Diamond Manila, but this ROM is built around the Rhodium Manila, so you need one that's compatible.

And btw, if you ever have problems having anything run in Manila after something was newly installed, you can always soft reset and then access the settings from the regular Windows start menu before Manila loads and try to backtrack from there.

- Very big font in email and text messages, dutty's roms had a tiny font, which was perfect.
- facebook login always returns connection failed within a split second.
- Any way to revert start menu icon (top left one) back to 6.1 stock or something less colorful? (I hate colors ;))
- Where are the AGPS settings? Don't seem to be present in this ROM.
- Opera 9.7 would be nice (instead of this *old* build)

Beside the fact that I find this ROM the best that ever happend to my Diamond, me too like to raise the incall volume. I have looked into Advanced Config, but I can't find the entry you mentioned. Could you please point it out to us?

Couple of hints:

- you might just change the font size yourself: Settings, System, Screen, font size
- facebook is working here
- you might follow the link from the first page
- I have no idea how this rom might have stolen some hardware from your phone - my aGPS receiver is still present ;)
- Opera 9.7 is still beta - and really: it is beta! It is reported to be very unstable and crashes here many times.

best hint of all: use the search button on th upper right.
