Hi All,

Is it possible to 'separate' the world clock tab's cities from the weather tab's?

I mean I want to add 8-10 cities to the world clock but I need the weather info for my location only.

Weather info for all of those cities requires more RAM. (I suppose).

Is there a way to do that?

if i'm not mistaken, there is a cool Java emulator in this ROM included, isn't it? i had this rom flashed some weeks ago on my diamond but i cant remember the name of the java emul. there. Now i have another rom and i seek for a good emulator and the one in this rom seemed to me really cool..

Yep, yoz's roms are great! Keep switching between d2 and d2x myself, love the speed on d2, love the manila in d2x!

I had the same problem with quickgps on both, and a couple of other roms if i remember right. Looking into it-when it's a scheduled app it actually passes that argument to quickgps ie. it runs "quickgps.exe AppRunOnce" but the quickgps included doesn't seem to understand that it means it's been run from schedule...

This is a slightly older build of quickgps but works fine. It's only missing the option to close after download but i think it does it anyway since i don't see it in htc task manager after it's ran and it definitely does update properly.

But, I must admit, your choice to keep wm6.1 at least on diamond is the right one, so I installed your rom/kitchen
Impressive work!
Just a little fix, your htc black.tsk is not ported from rhodium (maybe...) and has 800x600 resolution. Use the one attached.

Just installed Gen.Y R5.5 and it works so great! Thanks yozgatg.

Everything works perfectly, except one thing: After adding my IMAP4-Mail-Account by clicking "Add Account" on Sense-mail-tab, the mails don't show up. It still says "No Mail Account". Is there another way to configure mail accounts?

EDIT: Good news. Found the other way and it works: Opened start menu / all programs / messaging. There one can configure email accounts. Now the mails are shown in sense-tab :-)

Maybe I should do mtty. Before flashing R5.5 I flashed a stock rom. Flashing I do from internal storage.

By the way: Is it possible to add a "remind in 30min" to the reminders?

What I would like to know may have been asked before, but the thread has reached 700+ pages and it's almost impossible to search for information.


I currently have version R5.1 (it says 2.11.Gen.Y) and I want to install the R5.5.
Do I just run the CustomRUU.exe and follow the flashing procedure?
Because when I do this, it reaches the end of the procedure but the version remains the same.
Shouldn't it be Gen.Y_D2_R5.5 ?

Any help on that?

Have you tried to set Power Mode to Best Performance ? (comm.manager -> wifi settings --> Advanced --> Power Mode)
Sorry if the navigation is not totally accurarate for im not using this rom anymore... hope it helped thought

Hi! I've tried to reflash all (Official ROM -> Radio 1.13.25.24 -> GenY D2 R5.5), using the same method of MTTY but manually (without that software that i never liked :D ), and finally I've got a system that WORK 100%!!! :)
Now I'm really satisfied!

Maybe not very important, but i cant see my msn avatars in windows mobile outlook at my msn contacts. At my previous rom i saw the avatars after i download them with msn (my tel. downloaded them automatic when i talked with an msn contact).

first I want to thank you for cooking so fast ROM and good working with HTC Touch Diamond. I have upgrade my ROM to your last v.5 and all is OK, but I have a problem with my bluetooth hands free device. I have conect it and I am receiving calls but the device or phone could not redirect music or the voice from GPS software. Where could be the problem? My bluetooth device is Plantronics 370. When I conect it to NOKIA, NOKIA phone redirects all sounds, I hear the tone from keyboard ans so on.

Your rom (yd2 r5) is simply fantastic! fast, stable, beautifull.

i've notice just 1 bug:
when you use the scrolling bar, or use your finger to scroll the page, if you stop your finger on the screen it start to tremble (the screen :-)). this problem was absent in the rom i used before, the official 2.03. is a little bug, but i think you'd like to now.

another thing: when someone answer your call, the screen become black too soon, and if you want to activate the speacker, and you are travelling by car, you must be very fast, or you must push the top button before.

anyway this rom is fantastic and i don't change it!!!

how long is a piece of string?

give it a go, its a vast improvement on the original ROMs.

remember, it can take a while for a ROM to 'bed in'. usually a couple of soft resets during the first day sort it out :)

This isn't a problem of the ROM itself, but it's a "user-created" problem... :(

The only thing that you should do is "simply" an inevitable Hard-Reset of the current ROM (soft reset + central pad button + volume down) and then choose option 1 if you want to hard reset the ROM without touching data in your storage card, or option 2 if you want to hard reset the ROM and also erase all data from storage card for a completely clean device! :( :rolleyes:

Try Start>Settings>Connections>USB to PC and "uncheck" the box with "Enable faster data synchronization". and Re-connect your device.

u can still do it - check yoz's signature and you'll find link to the Gen.PX-D... i believe all u need to do is extract/copy files on in ur internal storage - the boot loader in this will handle the rest :)

Why is the "phone" application rotating?
its not on the G-config list nor in the whitelist regedit but still it always rotates and its actually not compatible with this rotation because you cant do anything while on landscape mode...

I think this cannot be fixed. It will take a lot of your phone's memory when Sense have to load more than 99 photo's.

In call Record seems to do nothing here, there is no record option when a call is active in the menu softkey. Where do I find that.

I am running WWE Gen.Y D2 R5.5, i disabled the tachi dialer so i can use WM dialer but in the WM dialer the names and numbers are there (as the green selection bar scrolls trough them, and if i click OK it calls the number) but are not visible no text is shown(the green selection bar is all green, and the rest of the dialer,where the list should have been, is all white with no text). Plus when dialing a number it shows like this (074) 000 0000 and not 0740000000.Any of you guys has had these problems?

Pls Help! I have flashed this ROM for the first time, and I like it, but problems occur! I don't know how, but my Endkey is not working anymore when I press and hold it. I set the Endkey to : Lock, Vibrate, display the list ..... and nothing happens. And I also noticed that my Answer button(down left) is not working when I press it(before when pressed it displayed the phone menu-where you can dial to people).
Any help would be appreciated. Thanks.

Only problem i found is that the battery meter does not update itself as it should.
It could say 96% for 5 hours, without decreasing.
When i do a soft reset, it shows 65% or something.

Is there a fix for this?
I've tried different taskbar .cabs, but that only changed the icons.
I've installed AhenBatteryEnhancer, but also that didn't do the trick...

i have used it since the early rev Y, Z versions but went back to pure wm6.5 to be up to date with opera and office (performance and battery is way better of course)

hey guys not sure if this has been mentioned.. but i have had clock problems. i found the way to resolve this was to run "clean ram" this worked.

Yeah, if the "real" clock of the device is running properly, than this works out.

BUT: from time to time, even the "real" clock of WM6.1 gets confused and shows the wrong time (just some offset, not a certain amount of hours, so it seems not to be a timezone issue or something).

What is the reason for this? I don't have this time problem, when using the original rom. But the original rom is crappy to use... :(

Is there a way to fix the manila SMS ordering problem? The sms in people tab are all messed up, they don't show up ordered by recieved time. :(

Try DiamondTweak, it gives you a selection of shortcuts, e.g. contacts.

i tried but it opens the old winmo contacts. i want the sence's contacts.

all i need is the path to that app. i want it to be exactly like i pressed 'All People' button at the contacts tab.

I recently passed from GEN.Y R3 to R5, but there's the menu in the comm manager which allowed me to select only the WCDMA mode, for me it is a vital function as I do?
P.S.: It's a wonderful ROM!! Sei Grande GEN.Y!
