Hi

I installed the phone skin called: Tachi PhoneCanvas
You can find it here: http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=499076
http://download.ppchaven.com/GSM%20Devices/HTC%20Tachi/DHARVEY/Screen04.jpg

Nice skin I tought, but after installing I performed a softreset and then:eek:
My screen went mad showing the attached picture (Sorry for the quality), Uni was stucked at that screen not working soft or even hard reset.
After taking out battery and place it again I tried a hard reset and this time worked, all is working normal now but every soft reset I made since that event it appears the same freaky screen...

Any ideas of what is going on with my Uni is more than apreciated

Thanks in advance

Does it continue to boot now after the freak screen? Or do you have to do battery & hard reset each time after soft reset?

It continues to boot normal
But also some unexpected freezes

Any clue?
Today IŽll try to reflas the ROM and see if this helps, also think on reinstall the O2 boot screen

Yes I was just going to say install a new boot screen. Mine went feaky for the first time just 2 weeks ago. However it didn't affect the boot-up, just looked funny. However, I expect that if the picture was affected, it could also quite have easily been the boot up too.

I have a very nice boot screen which I copied from someone else* and added my own bits...

(*someone else, sorry I forgot who, but you're quite welcome to step forward)

After all my problem now solved
The only thing I couldnŽt solve is to put any splash screen again to my Uni
So every time I reboot I see only a black screen with the ROM info
I tried the different methods posted and non result positiv to put any splash again (tested several)

Any advice?

Thanks,

Hi Orb,

Find the splash image attached.
It will be flashed as a rom image so please do necessary backup of your data and then start flashing. Please note that you need to re-flash the OS image (i.e. my v8.5 or v8.9 etc.) once again after the splash flash is complete.

Step by step:
1. Backup the data from your device
2. Connect the USB cable
3. Flash Splash (rom) image (do not reset the device at this stage)
4. Flash OS (rom) image
5. Hard-reset your device
...

Cheers
