Showdown 6.1 vs 6.5 on Diamond

I've been flashing and reflashing for months. I have thoughts on ROMs that are 6.1 and 6.5, but the ultimate question is which version suits the Diamond from all aspects? Ram has been an issue with 6.5, and 6.1 is becoming outdated yet is respected for its stability. Some opinions would help me settle on a version, and would be appreciated.

I am using Makeverals wm6.5 rom.
have tried probably every 6.5, 6.1, topaz ,Rhody rom there is.
i would never go back to 6.1 as especially with my current rom. the ram is plenty and stable, when first soft boot your task manager states 45%

for 6.5 i prefer the scroll up/down today screen. with so many brilliant xda developed plugins
the whole operating system has been overhaulled for better touch control, looks and everyday use.
as long as they dont remove to much of what makes windows mobile my preferred os, i would say try 6.5

the old beta was pants for me....the new one rock! :)
