I tried the unlock application, which didn't work, but I held down the power button and the camera button and now I have a permanent tri color screen

It reads:

KAIS1*0 MFG
SPL-1.0.OliPof
CPLD-8

can anyone tell me how to get rid of this please.

have you tried the soft reset or taking the battery out?

I don't pretend to be an expert, but it looks to me that your unlock did work. Now you need to flash a rom on there. Read through this thread;
