I like this idea a lot but doesn't this defeat the purpose of Stickies? Just my thoughts. :)

How about you add links to the JF/Dude/Haykuro rom threads, and just talk to the owners of those thread and inform them not to create new topics for their ROM's, but simply edit their posts (which they normally do) with each coming update.

after most of my day spent on here, ive seen a lot of threads merged and purged. most of ones i can understand to the point of duplicates and or similarities though the guides and discussions should be questionable to my opinion, one in particular was a guide on fixing things with the hero rom, made by funbacon i believe. it got to about 16 pages or so, then poof merged into a discussion based thread giving it 65+ pages, imo making it a bit hard to find anything relating to that point of being a guide to optimize the rom. i just didnt think this was needed, and made the merger rather unneeded.
now im sure this will be deleted which is fine, i just want the mods to take some things into question here before merging and purging.
also thanks for setting the guidlines and enforcing them. (most forums tend to slack on this. but aslo some go overboard. )

The reason why it was merged is because no one read any of the stickies or rules. Don't post duplicate threads. There were several guides showing the same thing, they were merged with the original thread for discussing those things.
If you feel they are important find the post and post it here and we will add it. We can add specific posts as well as threads.

I would like to see apps2sd sticked. I had been useing lucids method but it won't work with the rom I'm use found myself looking for it. So I think others might as well thank you for your time. And I hope this has not been posted here befor.
Also I think it might not be a bad idea to maybe make a should I post this thread. I don't know if it would get usesed just an idea and once again thank you for ur time.

May I suggest you include info/link to this thread:

or any other theme threads that others may find usefull?!
P.S. Great thread, very informative. Thanks alapapa!

I think we are just going to keep this for threads pertaining to Development. Or those in the development forums.
If the theme section is having an issue we may start a thread like this over there in the future.

Trash this post if you want but the warning should be stickied.
Ok guys, just discovered this after two hours on the phone to virgin mobile. I know i saw a similar post somewhere, but it REALLY should be stickied before people make the same mistake i did(and cost themselves a few hundread dollars!).
If you upgrade your phone to the T-Mobile 1.5 (Cupcake) version, you will be in the crapper when it comes to your mobile!
T-Mobile has configured the OS to automaticly send sms's every 30m-1hr to their server. In America this is a free sms,
BUT NOT IN AUSTRALIA (and assumabily everywhere else).
While the SMS does not send properly(which is why im arguing with virgin mobile atm to get my money back), they are still charging you. ATM im programming a work around to the 1.5 update, but it will probably take me a few days to figure out where they have stuffed it into the OS.
Until then, you really should not install the T-Mobile 1.5 Cupcake update.

P.S
If you have it installed, shut down your phone immediatly, then setup your SD card to downgrade (link to be added later), and then boot up your phone. Seriously the charges add up in no time roflol.

Mods / Devs:
would you prefer a separate sticky thread for the build thread index? It would allow the helpful thread index to further expand and would simplify updating each respective resource.
If consensus agrees, i'll split it in two.

The build db is an awesomely exhaustive info source for which builds do / have what, but an index of the build release threads (posted by the builder) is what I've been trying to keep up to date. Is it needed any more?

I think we can just use the one I listed above and point everyone to that... it seems pretty up to date

I'm trying to update my recovery info right now, this is probably one of the most underlooked hacks but most useful out there from looking at it. why isn't that on the list?
