Hi all,
I have had my Rhodium for one week now and can happily say that I have finally found a worthy replacement for my beloved Uni.
Just thought you would all like to know that there is finally a worthy replacement.
Check out the user reviews over in the Rhodium general forum for more info.
I know that there are a lot of you here who, like myself, have been waiting for a long time for a decent succesor to the Uni.
Well now there is.
There are some excellent contract deals over at mobile phones direct
www.mobilephonesdirect.co.uk
I haven't been able to find any better deals on the net than this and as an added bonus the device comes unlocked without any branding (currently)
Have a read through the Rhodium forum and if you have been waiting for a decent upgrade, take the plunge now whilst the deals are good and the device is unbranded.
Good bye Uni forum, will miss all the great users here that have supported me and the many friends I have made here.
Cheers,
Beasty:cool:

Hey Orb,
I still have my treasured Uni too, and will never foresake it, still running my own build on her too.
I must say though that the Rhodium truly is a replacement.
Too much on at work to spend much time in the forums these days, least of all working on any Rom Development.
Things will calm down after summer though, and I shall start on Rom Dev again, but probably in the Rhodium forum.
The Rhodium is so fast on the stock Rom, it blows all other devices away even with the great Roms we have from all the Devs here, the Rhodium on stock is still the fastest device I've seen. Can't wait to see how it performs once we can Develop our own flavours.
Buy one, you won't regret it.
Cheers,
Beasty

Can't wait for beast to port the Rhodium ROM to the Uni  ha ha!
Ah well, yes, I'll be buying a Rhodium... but I'm going to wait until their nearer the Ģ150 mark in eBay first. So not for a few years yet, I think there's still a little bit of life left in the Uni yet.
Nice machine, though, everything I'd want in a Uni upgrade.

I have to agree with JonMorgan...
I like the HD and Rhodium is also nice( even not using KB a lot), but the price it to high for me.
I prefered to buy a netbook ( not as Asus Beasty, lol). I got the HP mini 1000 for 270€ (20% discount over sell price, great deal)( I'm using it to type this message).
400, 500, 600€ is way to much for a pda/phone.
If I can get a HD near 300, maybe I'll think about it, but if we keep to get new ROMs for Uni, the next buy will take some time.
Beasty, if you keep the Rhodium for a long time as the Uni, maybe we will meet again (how's life?). Did Leo also moved, he he?
Cheers
