2- No Comm Manager
I tried to install Cotulla drivers for HDSD... no success.
Also tried intall HTC COMM Mannager... same result.
Unsuccessful installation message say:
"The program setting cannot be installed because it does not have sufficient system permisions"
I think is a nice job... will need some fix but when done will be an exellent ROM.

Fastest StarTrek ROM ever!:)

Breaths new life back into this old phone… as previously mentioned, the only real issues I have found are:


No SDcard support
No Wireless Manager


Hopefully this will be implemented soon?

Are you using SoftSPL (SSPL) for the StarTrek? Search the StarTrek forum if you don't know what SoftSPL is or how to use it. Also, I think the Auto.bat file will load & execute SoftSPL for you. The Auto.bat file is included with the WM 6.5 ROM jerpelea posted .

For wireless manager you can use the built in Windows Mobile manager - it is an executable in the Windows directory called wrlsmgr.exe or mswrlsmgr.exe something like that, make a shortcut to this exe in you programs folder and you are set.

Ok guys, to lock the external display in this rom u have to:
run a registry editor and go to HKLM\SOFTWARE\HTC\SecondaryDsp
and set the value :
audiomanager --- 2
idle --- 0
hieroaming --- 1
voicedialmode --- 0

with other wm6.0 or 6.1 roms, you can use Cotulla's cab file (http://www.4shared.com/file/126298104/61a8c3af/Cotulla_SDHC_StarTrek_Drivers.html) for support SDHC cards ( more explanation in this thread (http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=509176) ) .

I have to application unlock this rom to install any cab file.After 2 weeks using this rom this is my opinion: it is fantastic, best speed, best stability, best look! The only problem is the external screen, but we can lock or modify it with registry editor and change the value in the subdsp (posted by me one week ago)

Forgot to mention that I downloaded and installed the English package from the above link and it failed to install. If I understand correctly, the above link only has the language support, but not the T9 core. I probably need the core for the dictionary to work. Where do I get this core for my 6.5 ROM on my 3125? strangely... I just installed the Geman.cab (not on the flash card). That works. I think, the cab must contain both components: core and language.

Dont bother with reg hacks to get back external display settings!!
just download rootgsm.cpl.zip (http://forum.xda-developers.com/attachment.php?attachmentid=70520&d=1202959653) extract it to windows folder, restart your phone and u ll have back the external screen settings under settings menu :D

Also on this ROM need to redirect CommManager so it can work with SlidingPanel:

After any Registry Hack you need to reboot your devise!

As per my knowledge T9 comes in all the phones except for the phones that have QWERTY keypad. The handset 3125 should have the T9 if the phone does not have a QWERTY keypad.

i begun last week with trying to cook something.. but its not easy because of all these 1000s of different options how to cook and information i need to find and sort out and so on.

based on a kitchen somebody gave me i try to use newer WM6.5 kernels and so on to cook something very clean.

but i dont know if it will ever come out, because the WM6.5 ROM from here isnt so fast as people say on StrTrk. also there are some things like to long loading times for showing SMS, screenresizes of the SMS input fields which mess up SMS reading screen (flickering). weird "missing files/functions" messages which are not correct sometimes. somewhat slow appering of the home screen when u open up the clamshell (but not always) and so on.

on the other hand all is working fine - its somewhat reliable except longer loading times at some functions and these weird error messages (which could be because of missing .net may be or incompatiblity of programs with WM6.5)

I'm using erofich's wm 6.1 std. rom but I want to try this one. does STRTrk_WM6.5_23017 package has all files necessery to install rom ? I executed the Auto batch file then follow the instructions, it came to the three colour screen but utility didnt work . it says "couldnt find the correct file" or smthng like that .
