Wonderful...
What it takes to install? 6.5? or it could be done on 6.1
Just yesterday i was looking at the designers themes for the Diamond
and thinking... It would be wonderful if someone could port these for
the excalibur...
btw... I'm not sure about this, but judging from the screen shots i saw the time bar on those themes is in the middle of the list and I was wondering if the same thing is doable in excalibur as well...
thank you

And just one more thing to note... is it just me or that T-Mobile UK is fighting bout pixel autonomy with the clock...
Other than that i looooooove this badass design...

Rickwyatt, you said the clock was fixed , but for some reason it only displayed two numbers, and some dots last night when I tested it (11:.. instead of 11:30), I guess it was too close to the date/service providor.

I figured out the changes that need to be made on the .cpr for the clock to look nice. For now whoever want's this will have to make the adjustments themselves. Here's how!

Open notepad on your device, and press right soft key, go to my device, then go to windows, scroll up, not down, will take forever if you go down. Find the titanium_320x240.cpr and click on it. This is what it should look like and the numbers in red are the changes.

<!-- Title text -->
<Text ID="Network Name" Left="10" Top="7" Width="254" Height="18" FontFamily="Tahoma" FontSize="8" FontStyle="Regular" Wrap="False" VerticalAlignment="Top" Trimming="EllipsisCharacter">
<TextStage TextOffsetType="TextOffsetDropBottomRight" Color="#00000000" TextOffset="1" BlurFactor="3" Alpha="1.0"/>
<TextStage TextOffsetType="TextOffsetNone" Color="#FFFFFFFF"/>
</Text>

<!-- Time -->
<Text ID="Time" Left="6" Top="11" Width="93" Height="45" FontFamily="Tahoma" FontSize="20" FontStyle="Regular" Wrap="False" VerticalAlignment="Top" HorizontalAlignment="Right" Trimming="EllipsisCharacter">
<TextStage TextOffsetType="TextOffsetDropBottomRight" Color="#00000000" TextOffset="1" BlurFactor="3" Alpha="1.0"/>
<TextStage TextOffsetType="TextOffsetNone" Color="#FFFFFFFF"/>
</Text>

<!-- AM/PM -->
<Text ID="AMPM" Left="135" Top="18" Width="151" Height="18" FontFamily="Tahoma" FontSize="8" FontStyle="Regular" Wrap="False" VerticalAlignment="Top" Trimming="EllipsisCharacter">
<TextStage TextOffsetType="TextOffsetDropBottomRight" Color="#00000000" TextOffset="1" BlurFactor="3" Alpha="1.0"/>
<TextStage TextOffsetType="TextOffsetNone" Color="#FFFFFFFF"/>
</Text>

<!-- Date -->
<Text ID="Date" Left="135" Top="33" Width="151" Height="18" FontFamily="Tahoma" FontSize="8" FontStyle="Regular" Wrap="False" VerticalAlignment="Top" Trimming="EllipsisCharacter">
<TextStage TextOffsetType="TextOffsetDropBottomRight" Color="#00000000" TextOffset="1" BlurFactor="3" Alpha="1.0"/>
<TextStage TextOffsetType="TextOffsetNone" Color="#FFFFFFFF"/>

After you make the changes, on the right soft key, press menu/file/save/exit. Now use chome refresh and you will see the changes on the homescreen. If you are running the 3VO 6.5 from ookba's latest, it doesn't contain notepad, I've included the notepad .exe , just drop it in your windows directory/start menu.

This is what should look like after the changes.

I got this solved. In the cpr. edit this should be the 1st line of code.

change the line to read:

<Image ID="Background" Opacity="1.0" Top="-40" Width="320" Height="213"

the changes are in red. this will now show the full screen of wallpaper with no double exposure of the top part of the wallpaper

Hi rickwyatt, I see that you have the awesome black bottom menu and start buttons... is that available on the Excalibur? I haven't seen many other WM6.5 users with it in their screenshots. Awesome home screen!!

Better yet:

<Image ID="Background" Opacity="1.0" Top="-54" Width="320" Height="240"

That way you can use full size wallpapers... :)

i actually like rickwyatts version. The panels are a little bit smaller and the icons and text are a little bit smaller than your illustration. I keeps the layout more simple and with the limited vertical space of the phone, since its landscape and not portrait, smaller is better. Now if you can make your font sizes smaller and your pngs for the panels a little bit smaller then i'd say it'd look pretty good.

and as far as your change to the cpr file making it height 240 and -54 from top. it doesnt change the way it looks, only because with the softkeys on the bottom the usable space on your screen for images is 320 x 213 . the other 27 pixels are used by the bottom taskbar.

I tried a number of titanium plugins from http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=511052.

Some showed up on the home screen (Showaco Titanium Weather, Favorite People App, CommManager, and ...), however I was wondering if the following issues that I observed are indeed the case in general (as opposed to my lack of expertise with tinkering with home screens e.t.c):

(i) they have larger texts when inactive
(ii) they cannot be configured since they seem to use UI components that are unsupported on WM 6.5 standard
(iii) the Titanium layout is lost if modifications are made to any of the panels (I noticed that the order was maintained and Icons are still there, but the layout changes to the WM 6.1 CHome layout)

I would be happy to help in making it a little more stable and compatible with WM 6.5 Pro Titanium plugins. At least compatible with ones that provide configuration via Mortscripts (or the similar mechanism) and provide QVGA support.

Therefore, I would greatly appreciate if someone could point me to references on Titanium/CHome and WM home screen customizations. And let us know what your experience has been using the titanium and applying wm 6.5 pro titanium plugins.

Here is a zip with cprs and a *.home.xml for \Application Data\Home. The cpr includes the normal settings panel (no battery) and there are no icons in the settings panel. The theme makes everything more stable (in case some program refreshes the home screen, a normal Chome layout would be loaded and would destroy everything)!

EDIT: Oh I forgot. I changed the clock layout!

do you know if there is a version of flash that works with wm6.5 standard?

I installed Juggalo_X Official Flash Lite 3.1 on the IE6 version of the WM6.5 EnergyROM and I was able to watch YouTube videos.

Some draw back was that I got frequent "out of memory" crashes and navigating websites using IE6 for WM standard without the onscreen cursor was quite painful. That was probably more than you asked, but ther you have it...

Does the HTCWeather Panel update to show the current temperature and "last update".

After installing the "Active Weather.cab" file, I can click on the HTCWeather Panel and view the 5-day forecast. However, when I refresh the Panel does not change to reflect that it is connecting or when it last updated. It just stays stuck on 21 degrees and "Last Updated 1 minute ago".

Is there a component missing from the ActiveWeather.cab file that should maybe update the registry entries?
