HOW TO FLASH
----------------------------------------------------------------------------------
1. Copy MarsII_G4.ABI file to ur MiniSD card (card must be less than 4G)

2. Plug usb wall charger to your Zinc

3. Push & Hold ur Right arrow Dpad button & do Soft Reset

i think you can get it at the titanium hex thread which have those hexed inside already ;)

no still not an official rom ... but close to be i think.

The version of rom is up to u actually the higher build is the newest

@LeAdReW : It's hard to chage the default keyboard, not can't change! After SR I run a editor (e.g Notes), and I'm able to change keyboard. But when I run another software I can not change the default keyboard as you say!

Yes, you should do it. For example, with my personal view, I highly appreciate the default keyboard of previous ROM (21176). :)

Hi, I think that these ROMs are fantastic, and am really enjoying being able to use them on my new O2 Zinc.

The only question I have is whether these ROMs have native SIP support? And if so how do I enable it?

I am a noob when it comes to cooking ROMs, but I really want to be able to make VoIP calls from my Zinc using the wifi connection. Any help would be greatly appreciated.

Sad to say the program storage is only left with 19Mb even though the PP is 4Mb only.
As for russian ill try to do it soon but dont know if it will boot or not ;)

dude the issue of sound coming out from the back speaker when using VoIP is normal for all WM devices :( regardless what rom u r using.
U can try using this AudioRoute (http://teksoftco.com/index.php?section=freeware) with any VoIP client i think

Thanks for the ROM. It's was really great. However I want to ask how to activate the word completion. Before this in WM6.1 we can change the option in the XT9 to the microsoft. But here it cannot change to microsoft method because the selected input cannot be loaded.
By the way the camera is working perfectly.

Hay now my camera work. I tried to check what happen?. So I found some thing. When my program memory less than 5.5MB. The problem occurred. When I end some process to free program memory more than 5.5MB. It just work fine. Anyway thank your for your great ROM and your answer.

do keep in mind that WM6.5 doesnt close the opened program like the rest of any version of windows ... so u have to keep track of the program with task manager

the low memory problem i think is on every wm6.5 build ... u have to close the programs that are in the background manually.

i am using finger keyboard and it is working fine though

i faced the same problem with the rom so i switched back to 6.1 which is much much more stable in terms of memory usage. i dont mind closing the programs from task manager each time i finish using an app on 6.5 but what bothers is that it always gets stuck occassionally.

didnt use it much though, only half an hour and flashed my zinc again with 6.1

Pros:
The new interface, including the homescreen & icons, is cool.

Jeodek JVM is acting strange, it always want to install operamini that reside on my storage card.

o2 zinc has no HSDPA support. never has and never will. thanks to htc, who killed the contract between o2 and asus....

I have a small problem with build 21806, does anyone have same?

A previous incoming call's info always display in some seconds before a new call's info.

E.g: Person A completed a call with me, and then person B call to me. It always display person A is calling in some seconds before switch to person B although person A did not make any call again.

I tried to close all applications, tried a fresh installation of rom but not fix.

Just decompile the latest release of WM6.5 for Zinc, then take the XIP & SYS from the newest WM6.5 release for general device (you can find it around here somewhere) and cook them all with the new Zinc kitchen. Finish :rolleyes:

Yes i can do that, but actually i don't really like WM6.5 because of it's lack-of-performance. I'm not interested to port WM6.5 for Zinc, maybe until final M$ release in October. Maybe, not in promise. I would rather play with my new Diamond P3700 ;)
For 21054 it has not uploaded yet. I'm busy with my Linux project at college.

Yes that's true. I think we need a newer ABI extractor, but i cannot find it elsewhere. Or in another way, maybe we can decompile that onepackage.exe to know how exactly the program works.

hi,

i have ever experienced with this same issue on O2.
what i can say is you need to get new mob as its mainboard has burnst out.
otherwise you need to get your mob mainborad replacement.

In my opinion, boot problem is not the only problem for now.
The current Generic WM6.5 source itself is only provided for VGA resolution (at least for now, dunno what will happen maybe in the next year 2010).
Second, there is a specific source for HTC dev (QVGA) but its fully loaded with HTC application & that one is not the latest build from COM2 branch.
Third, WM6.5 is too slow on performance & will eat a lot of ram from our Zinc. Why?
1. Zinc actually was designed for WM5 :o
2. The device don't have a proper graphical processing & driver.
3. Internal memory is far too small.
Four, mr. Cruzzmz job to port WM6.5 here is so amazing. His latest release maybe not perfect, but it's the best for everyone who demands WM6.5 to be run on Zinc.

yea, i agree with you.
furthermore, i think you should train someone here on how to cook the rom.
i also pissed off bout Generic OEM packages which is so hard to find for other devices beside HTC.
finally i sold it last week :D

it will be the same method as previous WM6.1 build.
i believe you can find it somewhere here by doing search.
also don't forget to read & learn about WM6.5 memory consumption, it will suck your device resource so badly. just try & prove it.

Any one knows how to redirect without testing the screen alignment ?after booting ..:confused:

i try cruzzmz ROM 6.5 in my zinc,

I found a problem when i click thousand times the screen alignment and after i align those cursors, it repeat again..i don't know if my LCD screen have problem, but the cursors move every time i click it. Now my zinc is useless. I try to repair it in some cellphone/mobile phone repair shop. Any one knows how to solve this ?i want my zinc back. I want to do some stuff with my zinc. waa.. ehehe, tnx for anyone who reply. (Sorry for some wrong grammar :))

How do soft-reset ? I've Push and Hold the right D-Pad and click the small button on the right small hole and nothing happen.
