PROBLEM WITH RAPIDSHARE.
used Opera 9.7 so same as 6.5 below
used the same manila as 6.5
updated some drivers and stuff eg: camera
fast tested for an hour, looks good!
Think i would say better than 6.5!

Well done, compress all bmp and png files. Same on dll and exe files.

I made a little test, just for my self and after only bmp compression. Free space gain up to 7mb... Unable to check memory, out of diamond device.

Try to check search on google AMD Developer Central - The Compressonator. But remember. not all BMP can be converted to 4, 8 BITs.
PNG Also...

Make a backup before.

Use Batch Compressor.

You cant use TFD3 config, so far its made for TFD3v1 and this build use second edition. You also dont need it at all...

Use Reshacker as image extractor from .dll - compress, and save them back to dll... You can compress big .dll with images inside for 20% up to 60%... For example tachi dialer phcanImages.dll or phcanOverbmp.dll

Dazza is it possible to provide fixes for the 2.7 version or you are only going to release a new version? So we wait for a new flash or we can start installing our programs and waiting for fixes?

So far this is the fastest tf3d2 rom around, memory management is excellent.. hovers around 55% and 60%....congrats..better than many normal tf3d roms..

Found a bug but pushmail was working but when i fix it with
T-Back Rhodium ContactUtility.dll push mail dont work? ive tried about 3 different manila2 oem's ive found but all the same,
If any one has a manila2oem fully working i'd appreciate it.

My Opera starts normally on both versions
Configuration operator running normally (you should check the SDConfig)
For the freeze issues I do not have any. Try changing the Processor profile to Default, it usually solves the freeze problems.

I agree with the keyboard issue. Maybe cook the Finger Keyboard (after compressing).

Is there a possibility to have the new Internet Explorer cooked in?

I ve seen this when installed some Red Highlights. The TF3D menus were ok but the menus of other programs were messed up. I don't know if that helps.
Did you try to play with size and positioning of the menus?

The World Clock Screens are messed up. Better revert to previous manila.
The keyboards are not so good. Better remove all of them and leave the english one and let people to install add-ons of they want.

So if you fix the World Clock Screens I think we will have a very stable and fast ROM.

also i am using dazza 11.06 lite rom with white tachi..it is ultra lite(no file explorer,any video calling,t9may words and a lot more..) and only problem is SMS crash issue...
but rom is ultra fast and low ram usage :D

Ok, the problem with device locking up was most probably caused by Gyrator2 (when I turned my phone with music playing (via htc audio manager) or while playing teeter, it stalled. Uninstalled gyrator2 and now it worked fine for few hours.

The program tabs works for exactly 1 operation after soft reset (I can add program, but as soon as I do so, it becomes unresponsive :D ) <- already mentioned, just adding to summary :D

Facebook app from microsoft works now fine.

This is indeed an excellent fast and ample memory ROM. I like it very much.
I just want to find out about the input method... I am getting used to the stock Letter Recogniser, but this ROM only has MS Keyboard installed. How do I get this Letter Recogniser installed into this rom? Is there any cab file for the installation?

How do I setup a hotmail account? In standard ROMs simply filling in my hotmail-email activates Windows Live, but I need to put in a Pop3 with this ROM.

Tried installing some windows Live CAB but that didn't do the trick.

Dazza: I have last tab for that ;) (I'm used to just to sweep a finger across). Anyway, reverted that with reg settings; brought some issues, like if I open any app from last tab, then star menu opens too, no big deal though.

Actually you have to go twice to the "Remove Location" screen. The second time will appear.

No idea, mate. Probably just turn off phone, bt and wifi and and if that logger enables gps every few mins just to log its location and disables gps again, it should last longer. Otherwise consider a large 3rd party battery or some kind of external battery/portable charger

ok, 1st day with rough use :D

-Battery lasts longer (yay!)
-'programs' tab is indeed bugged, works, but if I turn my finger there, then left softbutton shows 'All programs' everywhere, need to either reset or reload tf
-using FingerKeyboard2 as its my kb of choice (the best, imho) no issues at all
-installed some more tweaks (landscape mode for tf3d, works great
-internet sharing works
-wifi/3g/hsdpa works all fine, no issues at all
-aGPS and GPS works fine in google maps and GPS in tomtom works fine too, fast lock time and no need to update gps data before every use ( o/ Kaiser ;D)

That's all I can remember, great ROM!

ps: 2Mb of ramdisk it's the best/balanced option, so it's a wast of time trying other settings (it's not my opinion... it was sayed by the author itself)

I appreciate your sense of humor. Please treat the word "Flashing" as the whole process: "Flashing - HR - first time BootLoad". But I believe you understood what i mean.
By the way issue with playing flash in Opera gone after installing Flash Player3.1, didn't know it was not preinstalled.

Still have no idea what to do with RAMDISK. Any clue?

2Mb aren't so much... it depends also in which way you use your phone, if you are used to reboot often then ramdisk trick isn't for you, but if you keep your mobile "alive" ramdisk can help a bit... of course miracles don't live here :D

There are things that I think are better to V1E like that I don't have anymore the issue of |...|.... in the days of alarm and the Calendar Weather updates automatically (and not through manual registry change) the local city from the World Clock.

There are things that I think are better to V1E like that I don't have anymore the issue of |...|.... in the days of alarm and the Calendar Weather updates automatically (and not through manual registry change) the local city from the World Clock.

just tried a different manila2, its not very good but is ok when menu is pressed in call history,
it says Filter> and Clear Call Logs.
Anyone know which part it is?

Yeah, does the same here too, but I only noticed it when you pointed on that. Perhaps menu field is not yet implemented, just added the button with nothing on? Dunno what should be done there anyway (speaking of the 1st issue, I'm disabling 'people' tab right away)

OK, for these who may be interested, I managed to get long end key press menu working. Try if it will do the job for you as well.

Install:
http://diaduit.bounceme.net/OemDiamLongPressEndKey.cab (thx suiller)
and http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=420855 advanced config

then open advanced config, there menu -> more settings -> key mapping

You'll see Long press End key, so map it to some application (I have rar there :D )

Hit ok, soft reset your diamond and it should work

Works fine for me, mate. if I press menu -> exit it exits. if I kill it with task manager, it stops. if I press that little power sign in top right row, it quits too.

It is not that important but in the stock tab I noticed that the left icon which shows the variance (up / down) does not work. It is always 00.00.

Please, check! I suppose after applying this fix all my event dates in manila Event tab has moved by 1 day earlier. Still on home tab everything is displayed correctly.

Are you talking about calendar Tab? This file is just an XML defining the position of the files to load. I applied it and everything was fine. What is your locale?

A couple other things I noticed;

- Is the G-sensor modified by this ROM? The mp3 player S2P no longer recognizes the G-sensor to auto-rotate.

- In the All People>Favorites tab,..when you scroll down to the bottom of your favorites list and let go the screen jumps back up, cutting off the last two people in your list. Same thing happens on the "Updates and Events Tab"

new opera does not work with pushemail, cos its installed in a different place, has someone not made a repacked version yet?

it's not so gentle... to come here & give your "personal" impressions compared to other roms/chefs... if you feel so "irritated" just download a kitchen & try to cook by yourself, so we can see the genius you are :cool:

I've tried the energy roms and although they are fast, slick and packed with everything you could want they are unusable.
Its like being a golfer and having a car too small to carry your clubs.

Your roms just do what we want, no more , no less.

Very fast rom but there seems to be a bug. It deleletes all e-mail messages by itself and randomly. Does anyone else have this problem?

As for youtube - works fine for me in the latest beta (over wifi as well as 3g/hsdpa)

Opera is quite ok, however eats much memory and sometimes doesn't quit if its told to, but cleanram can fix that in few seconds

As for keyboard - leave only the default one, I prefer fingerkeyboard2, so wouldn't use it anyway ;)

Great job mate! Well done. Stability is great and memory management is awesome too!

P.S., the only other rom I had great success was suiller's dia duit, installed everything from cabs, and apart from few minor bugs got pretty similar OS with really awesome amount of free ram, so might try cooking my own one at some point :]

Youtube worked really well in v1e beta 22.06. For Final.V1E I was able to get YouTube working again by just downloading and installing HTC_YouTube.cab from the net.

Noticed one more major issue. Can't make OfficeMobile 2007 to work properly. It freezes when trying to open any doc, xls etc. files - device reset is always needed. It seems that office file association is missing and office toolbar icons are blank. Note that, installed from Microsoft_Office_Mobile_6.1.cab,
and Finger Keyboard 2.1 EN installed only. Any ideas?

i suggest to move back to v1d manila....
try new version, copy DIAMIMG & _Install folder to phone
press vol down + back arrow key + reset button all together to flash
then hardreset once its loaded or flash again and then hardreset
cos its definately working for me.
