now after doing all the registry tweaks re unlocking the phone, I can't get rid of the att or medianet settings so I can use on Tmo.

Does any one know if they are locked in the rom itself or am I now reduced to restoring back to 6.0?

Any ideas.....? I am at a loss.

Downloaded straight from Pantech, updated the phone via their software, went and did the registry mods on the phone to remove the att & medianet settings (under normal condiditons this works after you restart phone) this time it did not.

the phone has been unlocked using sdaunlock, along with a few registry changes.

I try to delete under start, settings, connections, GPRS and it still shows both as locked.

My question is are they imbeded in the rom to where they cannot be deleted or has something changed between 6.0 and 6.1?

Hey,

Why don't you try reflashing the phone with the 6.1 ROM?

No, they are not locked in the rom. They are locked in the registry. Go to HKLM > Comm > ConnMgr > Providers. Here you will see several keys. Find the one that has the Connections key. Within that key, you will have the keys for the AT&T IMS, ISP, and Media Net settings. Within each of those keys there will be a DWORD value named ReadOnly. Changing the value on these from "1" to "0" will unlock the settings. Also, one of the keys in Providers will have the key for AT&T Wap. You can do the same with it as well.
