View Full Version : [REQ] Hear the Ringtones in bluetooth Car Kit ???

Hi guys ... :):)
i bought a bluetooth car kit, but i have a problem with it
when i reveive a call, i cant hear the ringtone in in the kit but only in the phone
all that i can hear in the bluetooth kit is a bip
So can anybody help me with a tweak or a cab to get it work ????

Uhhh... I believe it depends on your BT kit, not the phone...

No, it depends also in the phone
It is called inband ringtone, and HTC doesn't provide it in it is driver. Try Jetware

HTC does support this.
I've had the original Touch (Elf ?) and now I have the TD2 ... they both connect well to my built-in bluetooth carkit.
I can only hear the ringtone from the carkit (the carkit has it's own ringtone that cannot be changed).

Try whith a Nokia, for example
In bluetooth capabilities the phone informs if it supports InBand ringtones or not. (bit 8)
If it doesn't suport them, the car kit will play the default ringtone. If the phone supports it, it will play the ringtone associated to the contact.
