21042 or 21048 I'm not sure.

Anyway, you can dump any official build from Topaz or Rhodium or whatever , very easy with these tools , give it a try ;)

I wonder where i can get a rhodium dump though or a later WM 6.1 build?

I found a Topaz rom with build 21051 but the build in this one is a previous build. I want to build my own rom with TouchFlo and manila from the rhodium (Touch Pro 2) combined with the other software from the Topaz. This in both Dutch and WWE... the current rom i have atm does all that i describe, but the battery is getting drained like hell... :|

That was:

udK Topaz R1 - Build 21051.1.6.4 - Manila 2.1 Landscape - base v1.40

The rom itself was awesome, good build, rhodium features, the works. But my battery didn't last long on that rom and wasn't really feeling like working out the reason for the problem. ;)

Sounds like LZX messing things up...

I think udk was going to release a non LZX compressed ROM...

LZX compression is a different algorith for compressing files in the ROM. It's generally a better compression algorithm, so you get smaller ROMs and therefore more space, but it takes a lot longer to build with LZX compression than with XPR.

In the newest generation of kitchens (all based of Ervius "Visual ROM Kitchen") there should be a check box in the top left of the application for "LZX Compression".

I saw it the new gen Kitchen, still didn't know what it was. I understood the word compression, but not the LZX.

I've also read the wiki of the new gen Kitchen, but I don't understand it. So much information on the screen. The older Kitchen is easier...
First thing: I've to choose a ROM. In this case the are more ROM's to choose? Which one should I choose?

What would be cooked in my ROM? I see false and true...
In the older Kitchen you could check what you want when a package has a option.xml file. Most times my packages didn't had the check option because I removed the option.xml file. The package what I didn't want I removed.

I'm not sure what LZX stands for, but it's a better algorithm than the default one.

The new kitchen is more complicated, but once you get to grips with it, it's much much more powerful if you cook for multiple devices/multiple builds.

The choosing a ROM build, say the device, the LANG ID, the EXT Build SYS Build etc... is so you can have multiple builds/resolutions/languages/devices/whatever in a single kitchen. You used to have to have a different kitchen for each language which gets tedious when you update one file in a non language specific bit and have to copy it around all the builds... In this case, you may well only have one choice, choose it and you should be set.

The "True" means the package will be included, "False" means it won't. This is great for me as I can have a group of packages for "Manila" and simply exclude the group if I want to build without manila. For you, you may well just want to set it to true for everything and then delete the packages you don't want to keep...

Suffice to add, it is a more efficient compression, and cooked ROMS are significantly smaller, with only a 1-2% hit on speed.

I've also read the wiki of the new gen Kitchen, but I don't understand it. So much information on the screen. The older Kitchen is easier...
Both kitchens are available from this forum. So just pick the one you want.

With the old ways, you need to create a new folder/kitchen for each modified ROM. Each changes need to be made with options.xml changes on a package by package basis for the change to be permanent and consistent.

The Visual Kitchen keeps everything together, and you can tick (true) and untick (false) every package, select different XIPs/OEMs and save the combination. It also has all the tools needed to port XIPs etc in a more straight forward manner. It does it harder to mix OEMs.

Personally, I prefer the old kitchen, but am learning to use the new one.

Ok guys, it works for me right now on a XP-PC after playing around a little bit. :D
But it doesn´t work on Win7RC. Win7 deletes (!) the nbh by itself after it was created by nbhutil.exe. The Prob what i have now is: I created my nbh of my original rom and flashed it succesfully into my device. The first bootscreen pops up and that´s it. Topaz freezes then. Flashed other rom from here and it works. Someone got a clue ?!
