Hi everybody,
i had an ELF (do not remember what the Device ID and CID were) and i could flash the O2 Germany ROM and it was working quite good. After bricking the device flashing with an ELFIN ROM, i got a new one from Vodafone (Device ID: ELF010000 and CID: VODAP102).
I have read many times that the Device ID and CID of the ROM must "both" match those of the device to have a successful flash. So, i do not understand, how i could flash the O2 ROM to my VPA, which would actually never match those of O2 (Device ID: ELF0200*0 CID: O2___102).
Can please someone make this clearer?
Thanks in Advance.
By the way, i cannot find anywhere the original ROM for my VPA. Does someone have VODAP102 for ELF010000?
Best regards,
Erkan
