- the people tab still hangs when trying to choose a people to be a favourite

- HTC compass hangs when exit

- the notification light blinks like crazy when i sync emails from my mail accounts

will there be a fix or will be fixed in next release?:)

Thanks Tom. This ROM is really fast, but some bugs out there. except those others mentioned, i also got the landscape issue: when i rotated the phone to landscape mode on Picture and Video tab, the screen display seems a mess. I really like the speed of this ROM, and expect your update.:rolleyes:

Just flashed, and what an excellant ROM, well done bud.!!
I just love the animated weather screen when you select the weather tab, and then if you watch the demo (menu, demo) you see all the weather animations for all seasons awesome. Very fluid graphics and menu's, I love it, everthing I have tried programs wise, from your supplied software works OK so far, I have disabled the My Location feature as it never worked for me anyway, Many thanks for a well cooked ROM Tom.

Bug present when replying to a text message, i.e screen flashes lick mad....otherwise my perfect ROM..:(

Not for me :D Did you do a hard-reset after flashing ? I am using 4.47.25.01 radio and switched network to GSM only. With weather update auto and few calls, sms and about 20 mins music...i am down by only 14% (~8 hrs) .. .oh and for some reason I forgot to switch off bluetooth ..

Got to Twitter Tab an try to login.
Error Message "You entered wrong username or password" (I try this 4 times)
I go to settings -> data services and entered here my login to twitter and login works.
Back to twitter tab, try to update tweets.

Try again to refresh twitter and now every time the "Communication error" appears.

About PIMbackup , if your backup from Rom was used ArcSoft MMS and standard SMS winmo , will works 100%
If backup from Rom was used HTC messaging , will not works !

Any one tried footprints yet?, when I browse to a photo and then select set as footprints I get the crop image box, then it dissappears? it should open the dialog box in footprints to add name and footprint details for photo etc.

The Shadowline ROM just doesn't look nice and Dutty is great but I hate the ugly icons in the menu ;(

When disabling the HSDPA it will work again!

for the first, thanx for this awesome rom, its the fastest 6.5 rom I ever tryied.

I'm just download the "Tom Topaz Leo R2 Build 23016" from the htcpedia site.

Everything is working fine except this:
1. message bug - I'm not able to send any message because the dialog in TF3D is missing ( it shows only black screen, keypad wont show up )
2. its stays connected on the avaible network ( edge, gprs ) and cannot diconnect it, this drains a lot of battery.

I hope that you will able to fix this issues, it would be perfect. :)

( if these bugs has been fixed already and there is different link to the rom, pls let me know )

I said that your suggested solutions didn't work for me.

After several on/off of data connection and location service, the persisitent data connection disappeared. It stays disconnected currently. I don't know the reason.

Over the last 3 days I have been having frequent problems with screen freezes and stability problems when running Tom's Leo R2. Today I stumbled on what I think is the cause of this stability problems; don't ask me why as I don't understand it myself.

When Tom first released this ROM on Oct 1, I flashed and installed my softwares. I then read someone complaining that he had problems with the camera. So, I tried mine and I had no problem taking a picture which was stored in my SD card. Today, when using the Photos & Videos tab of TF3D, I got stuck and could not read any of the images stored in my SD card. I removed the SD card and similarly tried to read the images on my PC but failed. Finally I placed the SD card back into my TD2 and used File Explorer to remove the offending image (taken on Oct 1). Now my TD2 seems to run very well with Tom's Leo R2.

Just sharing, in case others are facing similar problems.

I tried this doesn't work for me. That option changed the background wallpaper not Start Menu background picture.

I remember that some previously flashed rom (udk? nrg?) changed the Start Menu background to the same picture that I set for Lock Screen background.
Unfortunately, this pretty rom can't do the same.

Anyway, if you create the key:
"HKLM \Software \Microsoft \Shell \Rai \:MSStart \KBBitmapFile"
and type there the path and name to your picture this will change Start Menu background picture.
i.e. "\\My Document\\My Wallpapers\\wallpaper_002.png" in my case.

A few days ago I changed from Touch Dual to Diamond 2. Tested all ROMs last days (hours over hours :-(). My fav was Shadowline's 23052, but this ROM really rocks. It's stylish but neutral (some chefs integrate personal things). No bugs found until now.

Unfortunately not GER, but I prefer stable and working ROMs :)

Your ROM is the first of the latest series of Manila, which operates stably.

Solution may have wrongly attributed the buttons in A2DP. After pressing the handset starts WMP. You can not control the HTC Player.

The second problem is the red handset does not work in the Call History.

I have similar problems with My Location and Twitter.

My Location does update but only after 3 or 4 attempts at hitting the update now button. I f I set a normal city location in the Weather Tab these update as normal without any problems. Obviously this renders the weather on the first screen next to useless.

In Twitter I can occaionally get it to update but more often that not it states there was a connection error.

All other programs that use data connections (email etc) work fine.

Another bug I have encountered is the built in HTC messaging does not allow you to send texts. I can read them fine (it looks like a nice) but any messages composed here do not send. However if you switch back to Outlook messaging it works fine.

This is my first real try at living with a WM6.5 ROM and so far it has been okay. Does suffer from slow downs in TF3D from time to time. If I can get the above problems sorted I might stay. If not I will be wandering back to WM6.1, which would be a pity because I am already starting to like WM6.5 when it does work!!

Any solutions Tom?

You have these problems not because of the windows6.5 but because of the manila 2.5 version. Try a win6.5 ROM with Manila 2.1 (like tess 3.3), but there is no twitter tab, only my location feauture.

Some minor bugs after testing a few days:

HTC Time & Date: Doesn't work, need to sync or use WM's tool
Lock wallpaper: When changed, soft reset is needed to appear in startmenu-screens
FlipIT: Too much sensitivity, also Manilla sometimes is not shown (and don't flip to portrait) when "tabbing" between screens and switching in landscape mode accidentally. I deactivated FlipIT.

But: It's really the best ROM ever used.

Questions:

Does someone know if it's possible to change phone-button on Manilla's main screen? I'd like to use it for locking the device.

Opera doesn't open file dialogue when downloading rar, just opens in browser. How to change this? Are the ini-files similar to Windows-based browser (I found out that passwords - wand.dat - could be copied and work).

Another small bug:

When deactivating calendar in Manilla, default calendar will be opened when taping on homescreen > calendar. But if an appointment is shown there, the button is useless (does not show up calendar or the appointed for viewing details/editing).

Maybe it's Manilla-related, not ROM.

I discover a great tool called "Keyboard Controller Suite (http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=555821)" by tarkim (http://forum.xda-developers.com/member.php?u=880785). I setup the driver to be able to copy/paste everywhere.
Here is my config :
-SEND :
-long press : launch SecondToday (http://www.chi-tai.info/cs_wm_tools_im_cs.htm#SecondToday)
-HOME :
-long press : COPY (by selecting Emulate Key Press and sending 'C' to 'OS' [same for PASTE & SELECT ALL])
-double click : disable TF3D (usefull to test some tweak :-) ).
- BACK :
-double click : SELECT ALL
-long press : PASTE
- END :
-double click : Toggle WIFI on/off
-long press : launch EndKey.exe
- VOL UP
- long press : Rotate screen
- VOL DOWN
- long press : Launch camera

Don't forget to assign to Event "Click" the "Default Key Action" because it seem to don't do that by default ;)

Great ROM thanks very much. Only ROM that "My Location" works. I like that Cyberon Voice Dial is cooked in as well, used to have it in my Omnia and I am glad that works on my Topaz too! :)

Me too, waiting for your rom update, Tom. Dutty rom R8 is excellent, but guzzle battery, UDK's R4 work great, my location work better than Dutty, but overall rather slower than Dutty.

Concernig the registry edition for flip it, I wonder what to do exactly :

I tried out this ROM on my AT&T Pure. It's really really fast. A very nice ROM.

Just a couple bugs that I've noticed:

The close button (in the upper right corner to close an open application) does not highlight correctly. The highlight spot is to the left of the x, rather than beneath it.

The dialer does not work reliably on the AT&T Pure. When answering a call, maybe 30 or 40 percent of the time the call does not connect right away. It just sits there with the slider to the left, doing nothing.

The LP version of Dutty's Holy Grail R1 does not have this dialer glitch. I don't know enough about the software to know what might be causing this issue, but I wonder if anybody knows of a patch to fix this problem for the Pure.

I can change to the stock dialer with TD Tools, but I prefer the HTC dialers.

This ROM is for Diamond2 only. It will not work on a Diamond.
