yes.. its based on 2.13.64965
it also has newer phonecanvas.. im sorry i dnt have a screenshot.. however, this version of phonecanvas is all new on phoenix2 rom series..

I just installed Feb 16 21892 from Oct 7. I am finding that new sms messages are now sorted in the tab from oldest to newest instead of newest to oldest. The oldest sms message recieved is numbered '1' in the tab and the newest is a higher number.

The effect of this is having to scroll down to the end of the list to read the message that just come in. I have looked and have not found a fix.

Anyone else know a fix for this.

Is anyone else noticing a lot of battery drain from SMS messaging?

I notice that whenever I have sms open, my battery drains very quickly. However, it does not do that with any other apps, even with data or wifi connected.

I had too many issues with getting Opera working correctly in the Feb 16 ROM. I moved back to Dec 17th. I had downloaded it, but had never ran it. This seems to be very stable and Opera is working correctly and the Zoom Bar is working correctly.

However, I like all of the retro Energy Rom wallpapers that were in the Feb 16 ROM. Can anyone post them or give me a link? I would like to put them in with the Dec 17th ROM.

Also Opera had problems in the 16th Jan ver too (eg. with the topaz zoom bar not working)

And I guess the add contact fault is there in the new phone canvas, have seen it on other ROM's too.

In order to sync with Yahoo and AOL mails, do I need to have any other definitions? (unlike gmail).

Today I'm serving up an HTC Topaz ROM, based on Windows Mobile 6.5. The current build number and date can be seen in the title of the thread.

I build my ROMs with four main goals.


Eye candy
Speed !!!
Smoothness, consistency and good aesthetics
Stability through private beta testing before public release


I preconfigure a lot of things in my ROM, because when I flash it on my phone, I want it ready to go, how I'd want it. So, expect the backlight to be set at the maximum brightness, the ringtone, sms/email and other notifications to already be set. Doing it this way, makes for a nice ROM that's ready out of the 'box'.

You will find a new ROM posted here every few days, as I always update them with the latest "ingredients" that come down the pipe, from either Microsoft or HTC. Because of that, I recommend learning to backup your settings with either Sashimi or UC (User Customization). I also provide an example script to use to save your email settings in one of the posts below.


I usually make a few versions of the ROM, depending on demand. If you don't see one in the download directory, it either means I haven't uploaded it OR I'm not making one for the current release yet. Please don't ask in the thread when it's going to be uploaded or when I'm going to make one. It'll be there as soon as I can get it out :)

Here are the different versions that I currently make and what their descriptions mean.



"Sense2.1" includes the standard Sense/Manila/TF3D interface along with the standard Windows Mobile 6.5 today plugin called Titanium




"Titanium" only includes the Titanium today plugin, which is the default Windows Mobile 6.5 homescreen interface. No Manila (TF3D) in this version.




You will find TWO core versions of my ROM.




The 21892 Build is from the OEM COM2 Tree and is the most reliable and bug free release. I recommend you start with this first! :)


And...



The 23541 Build that's the latest in the 6.5.5 series with the Start/Close buttons at the bottom. These builds are not as stable but they reflect the latest cutting edge technology from Microsoft.

well, ive tried to everything to get push email to work on the 23541 manilla ROM without success. and battery life seems incredibly poor on this ROM, so looks like im going back to my previous ROM

Hi all, i have the Sense 2.1 Feb 26th ROM on the Blackstone, thought there seems to be a weird bug, the volume rocker will not adjust the volume, but rather act as a hardware button for selecting up and down...any ideas?

I haven't had a single Energy ROM on my Topaz ever have the 'add word' function work when typing an SMS, and I've been running NRG for quite some months now.

Given this feature worked in the original POS HTC Rom, I fail to understand why effort goes into continuous updating of the ROMS, however this key (IMO) feature remains broken?

Is it really that hard to get right? Does it clash with some key NGR feature that the cook wants to keep it out?

Love the newest ROM. However, Opera 10 doesn't zoom in and out using the toggle hardware at the bottom of the device. It worked fine on Opera 9. Is this something that can be resolved? Is it a ROM issue or software from Opera?

Suggestion, would be cool to see Salling Clicker cooked in to one of your ROM's. Not the best app, as in it requires the stylus to use properly cause the icons are a bit small, but it does work pretty well. I doubt it is possible tho, cause its not exactly free software, but of course TPB has its place in this world. It also requires the Salling clicker to be installed in your computer. As far as Bluetooth Remote apps go for Windows Mobile, its the best, but it still has its problems.

Anyways, I was wondering if someone could help me.
I have put this app on my phone, and i can get to it by opening the .exe in the file explorer. But I am wanting to be able to get to it from the programs menu/All programs.

so far i have found if u go to \Application Data\HTC\ProgLaunch\, you get a list of the programs found in the All programs list as 64.0 kb files, all named with the title of the program it opens, and ends with .bmg, i.e. Advanced Config.bmg.

I copied sallingclicker.exe into here, and renamed it Salling Clicker.bmg. this changed the icon to match the rest, but when i go to the All programs list in Manila, it doesnt show up. i was kinda hopeful that changing the file extension would would work, but it was worth a try. Any ideas?

Pretty much explains everything, its how i learnt.
Basically, you need to put HardSPL 1.83 on your phone, once thats done, the easiest way to get the new rom on your phone is to plug it in to the computer (ActiveSync connection), then just open the TopazRUUWrapper that you downloaded with the ROM you wanna flash. Follow the onscreen instructions and your done.

AS for important data, I use Microsoft's MyPhone system for contacts and text messages, and I set up a Sync connection to my Gmail Calendar. Just before you flash your phone (and do it as a precaution before you HardSPL it too) log in and Sync with the MyPhone system, flash the phone, open and sync with MyPhone again, and all your contacts and txt mesages should be back where you left them. (MyPhone can also sync calnedar and lots of other things, but Messages and Contacts is all i use...)

As another precaution, open up PIM Backup (I'm not sure its on the stock ROM, but you'll find it on the net, or on xda). Run the backup, and leave the file on your Mem Card. Sometimes it take me 2 or 3 attempts at setting up and logging in to MyPhone after I stick a new ROM on, but it eventually works.

Oh yeah, when your new ROM is going, make sure you change the time date and regional settings before you stick data back (especially Calendar data) cause if you do it the other way round, the phone adjusts all appointments and events to match your new time zone, and its a PRICK to change them all back. Other than that, I think you'll be fine!
