I guess so, cuz i can login with skyfire, but not via IE5

Update: Flash back to early version with IE6, it still doesn't work.
Perhaps Microsoft won't recognize new rom with previous update. Anyway, ActiveSync works great since I only sync Calendar.

Actually, the MyPhone service itself had an outtage (http://myphoneteam.spaces.live.com/blog/) on the 7th and/or 8th -- try it again. :)

- On incoming calls it takes about 5 seconds before I can hear the other person.
- xT9 autocomplete doesn't work.
- Sluggish response time on outgoing calls being initiated but doesn't have the same problem with the ear speaker.

I like the feel and changes but the problems (maybe with the radio?) are making it unusable for me right now. I'm going to see if ookba's ROM has the same problem because that will tell me if its the SDK causing it or if it's specific to this build.

OK folks, I am seeing tons of issues with battery life. I am having a slightly different issue than most. I flashed my phone and toyed around with it for a while with no SIM inserted. No battery issues what so ever:D As soon as I put the SIM in and made a call it crapped out and shut off:( Restarted the fone & battery was still fully charge:confused: I have tried closing all programs and processes, still always the same end result. Any clues or tips? Anybody? Thanks in advance.

PS, Yes I searched and already heard about the new battery idea, but most of solutions I saw from thread to tread contradict what another one say

Thanks NRG for all your hard work on this amazing rom! After all the reading through 20 something pages of this thread and contemplating, I decided to just give it a try. This rom really is fast and breathes new life into my dash! (I upgraded from Ricky's Kavana Remade 6.1 v24 rom...so I was long overdue to update my rom!) I'm sure I'll busy for awhile just tinkering and seeing what all this rom can do!

Okay I have noticed the audio problems as well. I have experienced the long delay time before I hear the person on the other side with incoming calls, and I have also noticed a lag in audio in the system. For example the "alert" sound in Celetask when you check memory status, or when you are changing ringtones in settings and the "preview" of the sounds when going through the list lags. Is there a simple fix for this?

Hey, NRG, what´s going on with you?

Are you out of time to play with Excalibur?

Is your Energy ROM 6.5 for Excalibur abandoned?

Download links are not working anymore, no mirrors even. No pictures in first post. Many people (including myself) are having audio issues. Audio manager is not working anymore (it was in previous version). Some bugs still persists (like the comm manager in front page).

It seems that you´ve abandoned this ROM. At this point (I mean, as it is today), your rom is useless. Some unsolved bugs along with a few new (really annoying) ones.

I came back to Kavana remade by Rickywatt, wich is stable and fast (my personal choice), and I´ll stick with him unless you come back and take care of us, Excalibur owners.

Let me tell you that you´ve been doing a great job. If I were a cooker, and got the skills, that´s the way i´d cook a ROM.

Other cookers always left wi-fi broken in first versions, you didn´t. So, I assume that you put a lot of effort and care in this Rom to build it, and now you´re leaving it as-it-is?

You don´t raise a child to let him/her at his/her own luck at the age of 5, do ya?

Or, you could at least be honest and say: "Fu** this rom, I´m not interested in it anymore"

Don´t do that, dude.

Regards.

^^I would have to agree.^^ I know I have been eager for a fix myself, but I know NRG has contributed quite a bit to the forums and seems like a busy man. If he gives us an update that would be great! I do like the snappiness of his roms compared to some of the others I tried. But if not there are plenty of other roms to try out on this great forum. I don't think we can really get anywhere with being impatient. (I know I can be pretty impatient myself!!) We should at least be a little more understanding and give some respect that NRG took out some time to even create this rom when he didn't have to. We have the tendency to make demands to those who go out of their way to provide these roms for us when we should be more laid back... That's just my 2 cents though!!

All I said is: If you (NRG) are still interested in developing this rom, let us know, if not, then weīll take a look at any other side and see whatīs available, because - as you johnambler said - there are plenty of other romīs to try out here.

And I think I did not disrespect anyone. If I did, Iīm really sorry, I didnīt mean to.

I just donīt want to see such a good project flushing down the toilet.

WTF, Last time I check this is a free forum... We come here to get cool stuff from people with time, dedication, and technical prowess. I hope everyone realizes that these guys could easily sell their work and make a killing...bugs and all(Microsoft does it all the time). Then I could see being pissy and complaining. Honestly the dude could have some personal issues going on or even (God forbid) not be around anymore. I know Joeskull probably didn't mean any harm. Just lets think before we post. Thanx to NRG, Ookba, and all the other ROM Chefs out there!

Alright, here is confirmation on my bug report: I flashed my phone using the latest build of ookba's 6.5 3VO ROM and did not experience any of the audio problems. I was also having issues receiving MMS messages on your 07/07/09 build (I wouldn't get them at all!) but this also disappeared when I flashed ookba's ROM. Just a heads up!

Tritan88

I wonder if it has something to do with the core. I know that 3EVO is built on the latest release and this one is built on the prior release.

Would it be possible for someone to change out the core only and give it a try? I would but my laptop that all my files were on crashed on me and I am not sure how long it will take to get it back up and running right now.

its a great rom, I was able to recover it and reflash it back doing all the steps over again but there are way too many bugs.. the audio wont work, camera is corrupted.. my tmobile settings wont work on it for some reason..

and lastly It takes forever to answer calls I dont know why, my sim card is new too but when i answer the phone it takes like 10 sec to connect.. the Rom looks great but I wouldnt flash this Rom to it, im actually going back to stock until I find a good Rom. maybe NRG has time to work on it later on in the future.

but for now, i dont recommend flahsing this rom.

Call me stupid...I'd feel better if you called me a noob. But I don't know exactly how to install the new rom properly.

I've manage to download two things onto my computer:
-EnergyROM EXCALIBUR 20090620 IE5 zip file
-Titanium Panels zip file

I just don't know what to do from there. Can someone do me a favor and explain in detail, step by step on how to properly install this onto my T-Mobile Dash please? It would be gratefully appreciated! Thanx!

Ok so I unzipped the file into another file onto my computer. Then open "File 1" up. Then I clicked on < Auto MS-DOS Batch File >. Which I followed the directions in MS-DOS. Then everything is going good till I initiate < Smartphone ROM Update Utility 3.9.3.5 > Following all the directions...pressing next I get all the way to the three bar screen (Red,Blue,Green). It makes me agree on my phone for xda-developers terms. Press next again then it starts the download process to "Updating the ROM image on the Smartphone". Loading bar on the desktop starts, then on my phone...about 3% in, it stops and gives me this Error:

ERROR [270] :UPDATE ERROR

The image file is corrupted. Please check your Update Utility.

Click 'Exit'to quit.

?? Anyone got a clue ??

Are you flashing from the computer? Is your phone working when you flash it, or is it bricked? Reason I ask is It shouldn't go into the blue green red screen unless you have bricked it and need to access the bootloader.

Just start your phone up, wait to get to the standby screen - REMOVE THE MICROSD CARD, then connect to USB and run auto.bat and follow the instructions. You'll get a white screen, but not a multicolored one.

yes I am flashing from the computer! my phone is just dandy! and negative...my microSD card and my t-mobile card is out. followed the directions again and again but it does the same thing over. Goes to the bar screen then goes to a greyish screen with a loading bar on the top left side of the screen. 3% then sync stops and closed and then the same Error message occurs. Then my phone auto-reboots back to wm6.1 like it was initially.

Your phone might still be app locked. You need to app unlock your phone first, before you can flash new ROM to it.

I want to first off say a big thank you to dermann, jeonatl3, 10507 for their help. This is the reason why people are freaking awesome here at Xda-Developers. Regardless how dumb of a question or how repetitive a question is asked. There is always someone there to answer it. Even though at times you might deserve to be labeled a complete moron, everyone here still tries not to make it that obvious. lmao!

Although I figured out how to unlock my phone minutes after I posted my comment. I can now say I officially upgraded that horrible Official T-Mobile 6.1 Rom to NRGZ28's Sexy EnergyROM IE5. I'm speechless! Everyone should be applauding NRGZ28 for his dedication & hard work to this ROM. He could have made a lot of money on this. But instead, shared it with all of us shmucks! lol!

Been testing out every problem that everyone else has listed in this thread. And so far I have had no Audio, MMS, or Internet problems....so far! I'll keep you guys updated if I run into any problems. Of course!

Thinking of installing Pudgedaddy's Titanium Layout for WM 6.5 tomorrow. I don't know...I like it as is!

Yeah I really like this ROM... it seems snappier than the 3VO one - both are amazing but this one I think has the edge. I know the developer is busy doing other ROMs for other devices but it would be nice if this one had a little bit of love too :)

glad you got it working

Things are very hot on the PPC scene now with all the latest and greatest stuff coming down the Pipe from HTC, so it leaves me very little time to play with the Excalibur. Any "non factory" ROM that you install, Energy, 3VO, or other, will require use of "JumpSPL". Meaning bypassing the bootloader's security to flash it. Most chefs will release a ROM package with JumpSPL in the package. In the case of the Excalibur, you have to first application unlock (download SDA Application Unlock from http://forum.xda-developers.com/attachment.php?attachmentid=193609&d=1244453182) the phone then run auto.bat and follow the prompts. Really straight forward process. Make sure you remove your SD card before a flash to avoid potential complications.

These are GREAT resources and tutorials. Please read these threads for more info on flashing:

Have any of you ever had issues with delayed sounds? I'm running the 7/7/2009 ROM, and I'm getting delayed sounds in everything from incoming calls to alerts to music. When I answer an incoming call, it takes 5-10 seconds before I can hear anything from the other end, though apparently they can hear me. Also, even though I have the phone set to vibrate and ring at the same time, the ring starts about 5 seconds after the vibrate starts. The delay also happens with alert sounds and alarms, and even the preview in the Sounds settings menu. I love everything else about this ROM, but the sound delay will be a deal breaker if I can't get it fixed. Any suggestions?

EDIT: After reading again the posts from a few pages back, it looks like several of you have. Were you able to find a fix, or did you just have to use a different ROM?

EDIT 2: Ok, I installed the 6/20/2009 build, and it fixed the audio issues. Is there any way that I can get the weather panel and home screen layout that comes with 7/7/2009? I tried installing CHome Weather 3.1, and it doesn't seem to work the same. I liked how the CHome Weather from 7/7/2009 was just one panel; simple and clean. Also, does anyone have a link to the notepad app from 7/7/2009?
