Weird Elf needs help and so do I :))

Im not really very clued up about HTC but my friend has asked me to help with second hand Elf 0100 he bought from Ebay!

It is very strange indeed. You press the power on and first it comes up with network movistar then vodafone then powers on.

When I put in sim it says in spanish(he is spanish) that someone has tried 13 times to enter sim lock code please wait and try again. Well we have waited over one week and it still says the same thing so I guess we need to flash something and reset it somehow?

I have got a sim lock code using software on this great forum, but I can not enter it for the reason desribed above!

I have also used a tool to read the info from the phone and can see myself the SPL and IPL do not match! So I presume I need to flash it somehow with a new Rom.

The question is which rom for spanish and what tool do you use to flash it into the device? I have found a CID unlocker and succesfully done that and now just need to flash a rom I guess?

so you elf is locked?
you need to unlock.

By the way, can you go and edit and remove off your phone's serial and IMEI number.

This device is too old. I suggest you to use the "gold card" process (found it on this forum). Can you put it on Bootloader (3 color screen)?. If yes do this (in this order)
1º CID-UNLOCK
2º Update IPL (3.xx)
3º Flash Rom

And the phone is not bricked so do not think I need the GOLD CARD Process. I just need to know the best files to use as I can get it in three colour flash mode!

Please call your carrier/telco?

We cant solve that for you.

The carrier isn't Telco it is Movistar Spain. I have the unlock code I just can not get to put it in the phone as it says please wait!

I don't see Movistar being able to do anything, they are useless at the best of times! Surely there must be a software fix for this problem?
