Honestly it's like a super notepad for my phone. It works pretty awesome to the fact that I can edit RGU files as well. I edited XML, INI, etc with ease. This app is wonderful for editing files on the fly. It has replaced microsoft word for me.

...Don’t worry, TouchXperience will be released before Windows Mobile 7 (and 6.5!), it’s just a matter of few days, I will not take another risk by announcing a release date, it will be done... when it will be done! I will tell you more about the content of the beta during this week. Thank you for your understanding and for your patience!

And not a word since. Funny how these programs comes out from a guy who hasn't been heard from since February after making all sorts of promises looking for donations. Don't get me wrong I love his work but the lack of communication is a serious issue to me. I understand he had some serious computer issues resulting in someone DONATING him a fricking computer and still no word. By the time he fulfills all the promises he made it will be for outdated devices running outdated software.

I read through the forums and must say it's nice he emailed one person to say whats going on, must be too much effort to post something on the page. Hopefully Kraize you talk some sense into him, or at least open up the beta section for us mere mortals O:)

In the private forum for donators only.

People have to donate to get these apps???

This is a shame and should not be posted at XDA Developers. People should only donate as gratitude and contribuition for the developer work.

XDA means share, share, and share not pay, pay and pay, there are other sites and forums that you can post these apps if your only concern is profit.

In my opinion these kind of threads are the reason for users to leave and search for other communities and therefore should be closed.

Redirections and informations about Private Forums should be banned too.

Relax. You are free to share your opinion. But maybe you need to read and share some more yourself, before ranting about a developer who I think has shared more with XDA Developers than you.. probably know at this time ;)

Firstly schaps has given more to this community than majority of the people. Entirely for free.

Secondly TouchXperience is schaps' OWN work on his OWN forums kept on his OWN hosting. He can distribute it however he wants. It's not 'pay, pay and pay'. It was a VERY SMALL donation to show my support for his project. Not to mention the apps aren't even posted here. And there are plenty of paid apps posted here. Chainfire's WMWifiRouter is posted here. Thumbcal is posted here. Both are shareware/trial until paid for.

Lastly I'll finish up by saying that the apps that are posted in schaps' OWN forum are beta - They are not release client software. So schaps decided to limit his beta testers to donators before readying the software for a public release... Ever heard of a private beta test? Or donateware? With negative responses like yours it is easy to see why he took the road of keeping things private. You really don't have a leg to stand on.

I dunno dude. All I did was donate early in the piece. Then I was asked to msg Kraize on XDA for access to the private beta forum. I did and he replied - Then I got access. Unfortunately I can't help you out anymore than that. I'm no one special and don't have any jurisdiction so to speak :P

As above, see my response to empds. There are plenty of paid apps posted here. Not all are 'free and with love'... A developer has every right to go commercial with his creation if he chooses. Or he has every right to go donateware or however he wants. And the apps ARE NOT posted on XDA they are posted on TouchXperience website.

So you use this forum for advertising!?!?

I hardly use this thread for advertising. I merely dispelled someone's doubt as to the apps' authenticity and then answered a question as to where they are located for download. Then you all flew off the handle prompting me to set your facts straight.

Kraize was the OP and was going to use this thread for comprehensive reviews on schaps' new apps as far as I know. And it is hardly advertising when there is nothing to be gained by having this thread here. The private beta forum is restricted to private beta testers (which according to MysticGenius' results with a donation may be closed now), in this case, donators and supporters. It's not like this thread is generating interest in the project to generate profit. It was to inform the rest of you who don't have access to the beta testing of what is under-way and coming soon... You know the whole XDA community thing where we share information?

It can't be helped that Kraize hasn't got around to reviewing the software and posting it here. Topping it off - I can't believe how sour people get when they don't get their way. Or get their apps in this case. It's quite childish.

Not angry my friend. I'm sure most of us followed schaps' TouchXperience thread here on XDA and how that played out, for the worst.

From what I can gather, he has reserved the beta to private testers for two reasons - Firstly because the apps are in BETA and not release client software so they aren't ready for public release. Secondly due to the negative responses, criticism and doubt he received here on XDA because the project was taking him so long, he opted to leave this forum and keep things private and restricted those he knew supported his work.

I was not aware of that negative feedback from XDA community but I´ve took a look at the screenshots posted here and I have to say that a project like this takes time and lot of hard work for a one man challenge.
People just dont like to wait.

If keep it private and restricted is the best way for this project to move forward, I´ll say go for it.

Take care

The last thing we heared from Schaps was:
"it will be done, when it will be done" and i really could understand that he is putting effort in it and doesn't want to haste because he has a life to live aswell.
But he also said: "it will come out before WM6.5"
Now WM6.5 is out about a month and not even a post on the inofficial touchxpierence page made by KRAIZE.
He could actually admit that he can't finish it, but all the guys that donated him would be pretty angry.
He could also open up his project advance to everyone so that the cooks from xda could build a touchxperience or similar but hey, that would mean he has given it up and that again would make his donators angry.
What makes me angry is luring people with donation-requests and feeding their hope with some third-party apps their existence i can't even confirm.
Well, Windows Mobile 7 is coming out Spring 2010 with most of the features Schaps has in his touchxperience ...
I really am thankful Schaps of your Advanced Config, but what you did here wasn't very nice. The least you could do is comment at least once in 2 months or so to say if you are progressing or not.

Well, looks like the same old story again with this thing called TouchXperience ...

No messages from Julien anymore on his site/facebook/twitter ... not to speak of all the donators ...

Looks like he again dissipates his energies on thousands of features and addons instead of working on the core feature.

WM7 enters the scene ...
