I want to start this thread in hopes that someone can get the Flash 10 plug-in for Android and port it to the browser before the October release. Who better to test out all the bugs than the XDA Developers' people:-)
You can also post any new Flash 10 news here too.

Well the beta will be released in October....
Anything right now would just be pointless and non functional I would think...

I read that adobe released an early version to some of their partners already. So you never know.

It's part of the Hero ROM already, but it barely works. HTC appears to have extensively modified the framework as well as the browser itself to accommodate for it, so we can't use it on other ROMs anyway.

Yup, it might appear soon but more than likely... in a few months.

Hero has Flash 8.....prehistoric when it comes to flash on websites these days

Yeah, the old version of Flash in Hero was quite worthless. About the only site I could get that was Flash 8 compatible was homestarrunner.com, everything else didn't work. Now Flash 10, however should be fully functional. Its probably going to be another RC version entirely that uses it, given how extensive the mods were in order to get Flash 8 in the Hero builds.

I also read that the chip makers (ARM, etc) had to make changes to accommodate Flash 10.
But I would love to install and test it beforehand just to see how poorly it runs.

Hero has Flash 9. You can get the exact build number by going to Adobe's site and running the check flash version script.

how can it really be flash nine when most of the sites out there uses flash9... when i get to a flash9 website.. it displays the flash logo f9 with "warning" symbol behind it.. google.com uses the lower flash and if you search for videos that can play on google.. and go to that site.. you can actually play a video from there.. examle: http://www.220.ro/eSF8tAl8pY/South_Park_Two_Days_Before_The_Day_After_Tomorrow

From a web developer point of view - I think when it says the caution sign plus the "9" it means Flash9 had an issue. Not that Flash9 is required. If it was Flash8, it wouldn't put a Flash9 caution sign because the graphic wouldn't be in the player as it wouldn't be out yet (when Flash 8 launched). I believe the bottom line of the debug output might be the answer.
This line ...
"Local File I/O Enabled: No"
... leads me to think the site requires local storage (cache) that the phone doesn't have available. If I run the check on my PC, I have local storage available (Local File I/O Enabled: Yes). *edit* As a test, I turned off the local file access for Flash on my PC, reloaded a website, and got an error message - the flash failed to load.
Take Pandora for example, it uses a TON of memory. It will partially load on the phone then stop. I've seen Pandora (on the Skyfire browser of WinMo) complain about not having local swap access.
Additionally, Flash is memory hungry. That could be the major reason why it's taking so long to get it to a phone. I honestly don't think what HTC has in this is from Adobe, but rather some of their own work. Why would Adobe put 9 in for testing when they have 10 out and 11 in the pipeline? That doesn't make sense.
