HTC Hero Donation

Hey guys i have been a huge follower of the android game and have been waiting patiently for a phone to come out that would suite my needs for daily life. Unfortunately i dont make quite enough money to afford the costs of a brand new phone. I would like to receive any donations by the xda community if its just a penny or two..... that would help me get the new HTC hero that was announced a few days ago at the HTC conference as i have fallen in love with the design and makeover! I have a source that already has the white htc hero phone in stock overseas so im trying to get this great phone. To give back to the community I will do what i can to help by dumping the system for the developers to mod it to where it is worked on by both the g1 and the magic. Goal is to reach about 700 but i will manage to shell out 200 or so if i can get donations close enough!

Haha, come on, loosen up a bit. But, I mean, asking for 700 dollars out of no where just popping into this community is kind of sketchy. As you may know, we donated several hundred dollars to Haykuro to get him an HTC Rogers phone. We did this because our community would be no where near where we are now because of him. He developed so many ROMs and dedicated countless hours of work to us and asked for absolutely nothing in return. The Rogers phone that has probably arrived at his door stop already is one that he earned. He never asked for it, but he earned it through his hard work and that is why money was raised for him to get it. Do you kind of see what I am trying to say? I'm sure you mean what you say that you will dump the ROM for us, but I think it is too early to be asking for a handout, rather show us that you are someone who deserves this phone, and maybe we will surprise you one day with one.

I'd also like to get some donations so i can purchase every android phone that is going to come out. I'm hoping to reach $1,000,000 but i'm willing to throw in 20$ of my own money. In return, I'll dump all the roms, even though i won't be purchasing any of these phones before you guys do.

You just can't be a new comer in community forum and start asking for donations. You have to earn the respect and earn the trust from the people in the community. I hate asking for money I had to do it for wrestling so i could go to this big tournament that was very very far away and no way in **** i could afford it. It took a while because i had to represent myself that I was legitimate and this was for real. By the way it was for the State of Missouri USA wrestling team, just answersing any questions that might come up.

hmmm, why not save up like the rest of us have to? or sell your G1 to cover some of the cost.

I am sure there will be many system dumps around as soon as this phone drops, without us having to pay someone to buy a new phone for there own personal use.
