Help with japanese EMobile EMonster Lite S12HT

Hi!

Great site, lots of info, but the more I read, the more confused I get.

I have an EMobile EMonster Lite S12HT that has a Japanese OS and I think the phone is locked to the EMoblie carrier here in Japan.

What I need to do is unlock the phone so I can hopefully use my Softbank simm card, and change the OS to an english one so I can read the damn thing LOL.

I have a basic idea of how it all works... sorta, but please feel free to treat me like a total noob and give me the full run down of what I need to do this and the best way how.

I think I should also back up my original rom so I would like to know the best way to do that too.

Sorted - after much messing around! WM 6.5 21820 3G Full vesion works great! I just can get it to see the Softbank network... maybe something to do with the sim or 'frequencies?' the phone receives?

well, i think you'd better give up. i also have the S12ht and i tried every way that i can find but with out any result. if you really want to use SB's service, maybe sigh a X04HT is the best way.

S12HT can work with 1700MHZ W-CDMA only.
