You must read first post before you flash this rom, because TS have give explanation about the ROM :)

I have flashed with 3G barebone. I like it, it's the best free RAM on WM 6.5 for now. I hope Que cook again the more free RAM. huehuehue

I found a little error, the battery indicator is abnormal, only full indicator and charging status. but I have solve this problem with change to clock and to show batt indicator with setting from quickmenu :)

Basically i cant use it to take photos of myself to see how beautiful i look and video call also doesn't seem to work :p

on my older dopod 525 smartphone which had the second camera i could switch to camera 2 at anytime...

mmm i guess if you can find a rom with the default original camera pp or 3g dialer maybe that can fix your camera issues.

the sms issues seems to be cause you dont flash the stock first try again i dont have that issues

try to set a newer ringtone for it place the ringtome in mp3 or wav in the main memory or root staorage card

Yes gaorma... if you found a build with pkgs (MUIS) in spanish as apart... you can create multi lang roms... but you must to change the MUI regs inside the OEMXIPKERNEL boot.reg from 409 to C0A then you can create a spanish rom with the most part of aps i have including of course the lang EXT PKG that has so much spanish tranlations... :) but this is not the right thread to ask buddy go to kitchen thread please.

yeah its a known issue in thatyper of phone canvas... you need to disable the dialer skin... go to advanced config app and change that option... press done ok yes ajamm etc and softreset...

the Rom is as is bud... i cant add so much apps to a M2D rom cause the memory will decrease so much making it unstable and unusable... if you like it just like that so go ahead try it... and install other apps by yourself...

the two diferences betwen them are

1.- com8 have email threaded
2.- com5 have office 2010 trial till 2011

Thanks for posting the link! The one in the original post is dead and the one Que posted is broken.

Great looking ROMs Que, unfortunately I much prefer manila for switching between more than a screen full of plugins, titanium is just too fiddly with the selector always in the middle, you can't go all the way from one end of the list to the other and it just won't work smoothly on my phone, makes it really hard to stop on one..anyway I'm looking for a manila with the finger friendly start bar at the bottom, pref black themed from the get go and here is one hopefully :).

Can I can turn off titanium and install manila on a stock type rom and how?

I see, thanks Que. I must be doing something wrong because I seem to be loosing a few Megs storage compared to what You're showing, Tita was running in the mid-low teens, I thought just because of the extra fancy tripple weather screens, the normal one is quite a hog too, but I could only ever get 18 out of it like manilamoon, now deltaUL was only showing 19-21 with only cleanRAM added which was almost as bad as manilamoon or tita, and no ui running at all. Tried again with a hard reset on the att rom and getting 22-23 now (and running much better), is that to be expected? If not I'm thinking it may be a big storage issue? Can You clarify please when exactly one is supposed to hard-reset, here is my process:

1.flash striped_att ROM
2.calibrate touchscreen and let it autoconfigure/run extended ROM
3.hard reset and repeat #2 (for good measure, seems same if skipped)
4.flash yummy cooked rom
5.calibrate touchscreen and let it autoconfigure/run extended ROM (22.5 on deltaUL at this point.)
6.hard reset and repeat #5

Should I be hard resetting at the calibration screen before it runs the ext rom?

yeah always... always manila 2D will be hard for the phone to run so maybe if you are runing manila the best RAM you can reach is almost 19mb

i do the process as follows

1.- Flash stripped ROM
2.- When booting on the radio version red words... put into Bootloader
3.- Flash mine
4.- When booting in red words hardreset

:rolleyes: fast and works ok ;) i dont have bad flashes and i dont have SOD or Hardresets instead of softresets.

I thought it made some difference the different ways I was doing it.

DeltaVL runs good, I got xdateam's M2D on it and not a big difference in memory, but it does seem to handle it better than moon or tita, but I'm not getting a city list for weather, am I missing something?

Honestly it's the easy swithing between plugins in manila that i like, but I found I was not missing it that much just running deltaVL or even the old htc home it's based on, I will experiment with some more UI too, that's the nice thing about WM :D

Yeah the xda team manila is the V1 manila ported from opal device, it has many things missing that i fixed in the tita rom... i will attach here the things you shuould copy in Windows directory ;)

mmm sorry i dont have the manila weather images... you should search for them.

this is the weather cities directory: unzip it and copy the xml to windows, and softreset... if you had the weather icons... they should be in windows too.

BTW if you use the opera mini 5 the internet tab wont works you need the opera 9 or 10, and the music tab needs the latest audiomanager and some other things ;)

Thanks Yeah I installed HTC Audio Manager and it automatically seems to have set itself to the music tab after soft reset :).

Got a backup 8525 so ive been trying to see if i can get used to the titanium "Windows Default" home screen on some of Your lite roms, but it seems to leave everything running in the background if you go past the previews then think you closed it..still runs ok tho. Some more time playing with it ill figure out how resources are managed and how i like to run it :)

Ah, thanks so much savin me hunting around for the images!

I did not realize it had xtask, I see I actually like that, like xbutton, kind of hard to switch to tasks that don't have home screen preview tho without the taskbar icons like u did in tita.

I saw those cabs and got some, I think I meant the myrion kbd but i think thats just fingerkbd or swype, the little simple square one is not too finger friendly, and swype too slow, i really like fingerkbd tho easiest to use for sure, just don't like how it replaces the systems word suggestions with silly xt9 on qwerty which does not seem to work at all.

Any way to change the weather plugin on Tita back to the normal manila single tab with forecast on same tab? or is it actually lighter cause there are no animations?

Another weird thing is I can't get the high speeds i got last night with Tita rom and the new radio (http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=334697&page=21) with any other rom. I thought i was just missing something so i tried manilamoon again cause it has same connsetup3.0, and still only low 100kbs-155kbs, tho faster than gprs should theoretically get. Just put Tita on again and what looks like same settings after the same auto connsetup and mobile speed test at dsl reports is telling me 1Mb is too fast (1.29sec) so must be faster than 700kbs thats some fast edge! whoa, the iphone full browser test is reporting 3700kbs+ if i hit gprs or edge or 3g buttons, reports 700-1800kb/s when i hit wifi! Still only says E up on the bar.. anything to do with the roms, they all seem to sethdspa which im not expecting t-mobile to let me on their udma/hdspa lol, or am i forgettign some setting on the others? is it opera mini (which I <3 the faves tabs, better than 9.5 imo) that much faster? thoughts?

I think I figured the speed thing out, it's opera mini, I did not know it did it's thing through an outside server..so much for my EDGE lol.

Also, When my phone boots up at the red letters, under the radio rom version it now says D 3.35+Queppc,even if it's not one of Your roms, other phones say D 3.62...what's that mean?

With opera mini browsing is much faster and speed tests report 3Mb/s up to the teens, but I think it's because opera mini browses through a server that actually downloads and renders the pages server side then sends them to your machine optimized. Other browsers i get what I think my true speeds are in the low to mid 100s kb/s, fast gprs or slow edge. Too bad T-mobile's UMTS is on 1700 and not 1900/2100 Mhz here.

1.- Original hardspl??? there isnt any original HSPL bud...

you need to understand one thing here: the first time you try one custom rom you should apply the HSPL then you will never do it again coz its forever!

once you did it you should flash the original stripped att rom EVERYTIME BEFORE you want to try another custom rom

2.- you already do the HSPL? so your SPL in bootloader mode says 2.10.olipro?? you already tried one of my roms???

go into bootloader mode and check if your spl says 2.10.olipro

in that screen youb can see at the bottom a word "Serial" if you conect your device to pc and it change to usb... then u dont have connection errors...

remember you need so much batt... i sugest more than 70%

Few days ago i had same problems...
But my problem resolved a another PC<->Hermes cable.
Maybe try to clean your extUSB port (in Hermes).

Another option is to flash Herm within memory card (instruction you will find in XDA-Wiki)

enter into bootloader mode (see the wiki to know how) then you will see the bottom of the screen says serial... if u plugin the cable it must change to usb.. if yes... i suggest you to install in your xp the netframeworks 3.5 ;)

new kernel? what you mean?the kernel i use is a special htc designed 6.5 kernel thats why hermes has 6.5 faster than devices that dont has this kind of kernels.

Maybe it`s funny but i don`t like Titanium(?) and this menu like honeycomb.

did you downloaded the txt file in second post? it contains all the rom links ;)

To upgrade your PPC you must to check some things...

1.- is your phone a Hermes? the same as 8525?
2.- perform the hardspl v7 by olipro first... then you can upgrade whatever rom you want for your device.

Thank you Que of your awesome roms. Been using them for long now dispite all the problems I am having. Just would like to ask some help from you or someone else who has possibly fixed these things.

1. Is there any way to add new weather locations to moonspell manila?
I tried every trick I could find from forums with no success... anyone got it to work and how?

2. Anyone else having problems with hard keys on today screen etc? It might be that my keys are dieing due old age cause sometimes they stop working completely this also happend lately in moonspell b2 tho... But still I would think if it would be hard problem it would simply work after 100 presses, but no if they decide not to work they just dont work no matter how many times I press, and then next time I can successfully answer phone etc. 10 times in row.

3. Anyone else having huge problems with soft reset and hanging touch flo? It takes me like 3-4 boots every time I try to soft reset to A get past spalsh screen and B to get to touch flo and not hang whole phone.

Also I would apreciate if someone could tell me how I can change fast icons at bottom to different order cause I really need programs bar much more than settings bar.

the one what was on ESN , have a lot of traduction problems...

la moonspell tiene un monton de problemas de traduccion.
Te nombro los mas importantes...
en el manager del wireles por ejemplo...
hay muchas opciones que no tienenen ni siquiera el boton ... ni nombre ni boton, muchas opciones dentro de lo que es configuracion...
no tienen los nombres o los botones, por lo cual se hacen imposibles de configurar...


Que rom en ESN me recomendas, ya que la moonspell es hermosisima, a mi parecer es la rom mas bonita que vi hasta ahora para el hermes...
pero el problema es que es un poco lenta y tiene dramas de traduccion al por mayor. (entiendo mucho el ingles... pero prefiero tener una rom en español, solo por si las dudas)

Si queres te puedo dar una mano en lo que respecta a las traducciones de las rom, asi la gente de habla hispana tiene mas posibilidades a la hora de editar sus celulares y no muere siempre en las 4 o 5 roms traducidas o oficiales que hay por internet.

de hecho las traducciones ya vienen de fabric son archivos mui que contienen las traducciones microsoft las saca pero en los ultimos tiempos ya no han salido, si alguna parte de la rom no esta traducida o simplemente no hay letras es que o falta el mui o no encontre uno en español.

infact the translation is made by adding the mui in esn that msft release but some of them aent enough updated, if you find any english or simply a non words app or screen i miss them.

When I was still using my HTC TyTN I liked very much your Full Moon B2 ROM from the picture preview. Back then I couldn't find the download link in this thread. After a lot of searching in other forums I finally found it. :)
Since I sold my TyTN I'm doing a little house cleaning and came up by your great ROM files. I'm thinking to load this ROM to my rapidshare account and give you the link so you can posted here. Of course if it isn't that you removed the link in the first place for a particular reason.

Si, probé el link que está dentro de ese archivo y en la página de 4shared me dice que es inválido.

A propósito, me encanta esa ROM (estoy utilizando la versión en ingles) pero me resulta muy inestable en mi dispositivo. Dejan de responder las teclas físicas, el CHOME y a veces el Start Menu. A alguien mas le paso lo mismo? Hay alguna solución que se pueda probar? Intenté flashearla varias veces, incluso hice:

- flash de la version original en Español
- hard reset
- flash de la ROM Kane
- hard reset

y me pasa lo mismo. Espero que se pueda solucionar porque realmente parece que esa ROM fue hecha a mi medida. Quiero darle una posibilidad a la version en español a ver si me soluciona el problema.

Many ppl i met before dont know english and it doesnt matters if not all speak spanish here... but please... provide at least a google translate to any other lang to english cause the rules of XDA developers are very strict in this case :)

For the troubles of the stuckin or unstable roms please use the att ENG version of the stripped original rom maybe it works better at erasing all crap from the NAND memory

Mucha gente que he conocido no se atreve a postear por que no sben nada de ingles, al menos escriban una traduccion de google de sus comentarios en ingles por que las reglas de XDA son muy estrictas en este caso :)

Si tienes problemas que se blockea mucho el dispositivo puedes intentar dos cosas, 1.- no flashees el rom stripped en español, mejor usa el de att en ingles stripped stock. o consigue un rom mas liviano ya que WM6.5.X o 6.5 son ya mucha carga para nuestra querida hermes :)

today i put WM6.5 +QueROM Versions B1 on my herm 100. everything was fine till i instaled SPB Mobile shell. after install the phone freeze. i pull out battery and now won't bot. the scree freeze at that first windows splash screen. i think i broke my phone :(. any1 can help me to bring my phone back to life? :D

The only way i can think to solve your issue is... doing a hard reset... holding down the softkeys buttons and press reset... then release the reset, the screen will becomes white and with some words... now you can release the softkey butons... and now press the "R" key on the qwerty keypad, then space key on the qwerty to boot... everything will be good... and remember... if you want to install another today plugin... you should upgrade to a Vanilla ROM cause they have enough memory to handle that plugins ;)

i did all u said.. it worked fine till my phone freeze again.. no other plugin.. just this rom.. after hard reset, the phone was bk again... till.. freeze again :eek:. i had to reset my phone like 8-9 times today.
can u suggest me a verry fast and stable rom for my phone?

hi diablo!... well i hope you did the exact process i said to upgrade my roms if you did it, so that rom is not so good at all... try to use the newest roms The PRO and the Home editions ;)

I'm trying to install a new ROM in a family members 8525. I've flashed roms on my old 8125, Fuze, and Tilt2. So its not new to me. My question is that it appears that I need to flash the AT&T stripped ROM first. Really? Also, the links to the stripped ROM doesn't work. The RS link is broken and the MF file is corrupted. I tried downloading twice. Does anyone know where else I can get the AT&T stripped ROM?

Never mind. I just skipped that step and it still seems to have worked. Now I just need to get M2D installed.

Sometimes if you dont flash the stripped version you can see some issues like... hardreseting instead of softreset... or too many hangs :)

I installed the manila moon because it was the only one that had touch flo. It works ok but I would like to ask you a question. How can I remove the theme?
I can put another background photo in manila through the home page setting and I can change by hand the stwater_320_240.jpg and stwater_240_320.jpg but still I get the top and bottom bars with the initial theme. Is there any way I can manually change that? I just want a boring black background. Thanx!

check your windows folder you will find some images like:

hh_fw_focus_background.png (Whole manila Back ground)
hh_fw_tab_bg_fill.png (Manila slide bar BG)
hh_fw_tabbtn.png (Manila Slider)

and for bars... you need to check for softkeybar and task bar images they are PNG too, so just change that images same attributes and sizes with your colors and replace them in windows folder ;)

I use the ROM MirionB4 V1 Plain WWE. but why do I never get a connection HSDPA / UMTS? (The icon that appears always 3G/GPRS).
then why is every incoming email and I press the right soft key option should appear (save as read, dismiss, delete, etc.). but why when I press the menu in the mail just dismiss?

I never have that issues, for 3G my phone connects ok via HSDPA, connected in the band 850 + 1900 on my country, aqnd for the other... i must to flash it to check BTW that rom is very old ;) try newers ;)

The Unleash version ufff what a bad news... oit wass deleted from my rapidshare accounty :( but you can download AGAIN i need to say it!!!!

There is a TXT file attached in POST #2 queROMS or something like that it has all the links ;) i just lost two roms UNLEASH and... i cant remember well :p
