Hi,

I have a tytn ii running WM 6.1 . The phone was working perfect for the the last 3 years. However, starting last week, it acted qui strange.

When the phone is plugged (AC), I can receive, make calls and do everything that a phone is made for.

However, when the phone is on battery (100% charged or 10%, does not make difference in my case), I can make call, play games etc... but when I receive call, it just shut down. It does make 1 or 1/2 of a ring and died..

When I try to restart (power up) the phone, I see the white text (don't recall), the versions (at the bottom right) and it just died again...

If i just plug the phone, powers up like a charm...

Anyone knows what's wrong ?

Your probably sounds fairly similar to what I went through about 6 months ago with my AT&T Tilt: when it was plugged in, there was nothing I couldn't do; when it was not plugged in, I could leave it on from morning to night and do anything that didn't use a radio signal (phone or data), for as long as I wanted. But if it was unplugged and I used a signal for a call or large amounts of data (like lots of zoom/scroll in Google Maps), then the phone would reboot itself. Not always immediately, but within a few minutes of using the phone/data signal.

What solved it for me was simply replacing the battery. I know it sounds a bit strange given my symptoms, but I took it into a store and they let me test a new battery in it -- I called the store's number and they parked my call on hold while I simultaneously got on Google Maps and forced it to load as many new screens as I could. Either one of those would've previously been a guaranteed reboot within 4 minutes or less... but when it was still going at the 10-minute-plus mark, I just bought the new battery and walked out -- never have had another issue since!

Might be worth looking into, especially if you can get into a store that will let you test a new battery first.

i had exactly the same problem, until about a week ago. I ordered a 1600mA battery on ebay (i liked the idea of a larger capacity, but didn't want an extended case), and it gave my tilt new life.

I just replace the battery of my tilt for this

http://www.smavtronics.com/1600mah-l...lt-series.html

$18 dls shipped.

And since then has been working like a champ, no more reboots or going off, I have been using the Skyfire a lot in the last two days with the normal phone calls and the battery is still at 36%

This has been the best $18 dls that I have invest.
