This thread is for the P3600i variant of Chanvi93's Trinity Kitchen for all. For full details and history of this Kitchen please refer to his original thread:
http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=513421
Whenever Chanvi releases a new Trinity Kitchen, I will try to post the P3600I ported version on here soon there after (or as soon as I can get it done), along with a few of the the more popular "EXT Builds" (package bundles) of that release precooked into ROMs.
================================================== =======
CAVEATS:
If you have never installed a new ROM before, GO HERE FIRST (http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=399779) (or else you brick your phone)
Kitchen requirements: XP/Vista 32bit with Microsoft .NET Framework 2.0 (http://www.microsoft.com/downloads/details.aspx?familyid=0856EACB-4362-4B0D-8EDD-AAB15C5E04F5) Service and Microsoft .NET Framework 3.0 (http://www.microsoft.com/downloads/details.aspx?displaylang=en&FamilyID=10cc340b-f857-4a14-83f5-25634c3bf043) Service Pack 2, also Microsoft Visual C++ 2005 (http://www.microsoft.com/downloads/details.aspx?familyid=32BC1BEE-A3F9-4C13-9C99-220B62A191EE) Redistribuable and 2008 (http://www.microsoft.com/downloads/details.aspx?familyid=9B2DA534-3E03-4391-8A4D-074B9F2BC1BF) from MS official site.
P3600i ONLY - These Kitchens & ROMs are NOT for the Trinity/DoPod/P3600 models (see original Trinity thread (http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=513421))
IMPORTANT! Builds after 21900 have the ADC driven network auto-config so you will need to disable any call to Configuration_Network.cab in your SDConfig.txt. Otherwise you get 2 different prompts to setup your network provider (which doesn't break anything it is just redundant )
================================================== =======
UPDATES (COM3 Branch builds): 26-10-2009
Sorry I haven't had time to incorporate these into a full kitchen release (and ROMS from that) ... but here are the last two major COM3 builds as update archives for the ROM & SYS folders of the existing kitchen:
Kitchen Update (XIP+SYS only):
WM6.5.x QVGA WWE+FRA P3600I+TRINITY 23081.5.3.0 (http://www.mediafire.com/file/kbjtx4mymgz/QVGA_23081_ROM+SYS_LANG-0409-040C.7z) [COM3 branch]
Kitchen Update (XIP+SYS only):
WM6.5.x QVGA WWE+FRA P3600I+TRINITY 23071.5.3.0 (http://www.mediafire.com/file/znmmnzmtqm4/QVGA_23071_ROM+SYS.7z) [COM3 branch]
NOTE: The CHome and BROWSEIE packages are still in the SYS-COMMON folder. Just remove the older copies in the EXT folders and disable either/both of them in the kitchen if you are doing a Non-titanium or IE6 build.
I will try and get a proper kitchen and roms ready for download as soon as I can :)
================================================== =======
RE-RELEASE (23060.5.3.0): 08-10-2009
Sorry for the false-start everyone :o but there were some major issues that I have resolved with 23060 so I felt it best to just re-package and replace.
Following changes to 23060:
Now using native GWES (have instead rebuilt theme files to mitigate "PushButton" bug)
Fixed phantom "MSAlarms" shortcut and many other Start Menu icon glitches from new initflashfile.dat
Changed MortScript registration to run once (only) during first boot AutoRun (no more pop up on every boot)
Disabled ASyncKiller and AutoDLGkiller as they were not saving as much memory as they were using (autoHibernate still included)
Modified the Visual Kitchen HTCRT scripting to properly support WWE or FRA nbh builds (and support for Splash1 & Splash2 screen nb files)
NOTE: With the new MortScript install, you will get that familiar popup on the first boot just AFTER Date/Time/Password config and BEFORE the SDAutoRun starts, so it will wait until you tap it to continue and start installing cabs from your SDConfig.txt (it will eventually time out and continue by itself but that will take like 1-2min - best to just tap it yourself)

RELEASE (23060.5.3.0): 02-10-2009 (RE-RELEASED - packages have been updated and replaced)
I have ported the latest COM3 build (23060) into the kitchen, replaced the dialler with Diamond style canvas (to fix invisible "dialing number" bug) and used the latest initflashes.dat (new MSFT startmenu layout changes).
================================================== =======
RELEASE (23041.5.3.0): 10-09-2009
This is my P3600i release of Chanvi's 23041 Trinity Kitchen. I have used my own VK1.8.1/HTCRT kitchen but the SYS is CHanvi's and EXT is pretty much still the same as previous releases. I have added some "Mods" under EXT\Shared\ that are kinda necessary in this new 6.5.1 UI, and I rebuilt the Applications panel in Titanium using the layout from CLauncher instead (Chanvi had been recycling the WelcomeCenter panel but this seems to have issues now). I also did some extra module->file conversion to free up a little more virtual memory in Slot 0 (if you don't know what that means, don't worry about it :o )
Be warned, we are now into the COM3/COM4 branches which means WM 6.5.x and all the chunky new UI and fonts that go with it.
NOTE: IF YOU TRY TO CHOOSE ANY OF THE THEMES OTHER THAN CLASSIC BLUE IT WILL BREAK THE NEW 6.5.x UI
(MSFT are changing the UI slightly every build right now and they are only bothering to make Classic Blue work properly. Search XDA and you can also find a few custom themes that have been rebuilt to suit 2304x builds.)
AND
FIX (for pixel glitches at bottom of lockscreen):
Copy these CPR files (http://forum.xda-developers.com/attachment.php?attachmentid=226520&stc=1&d=1252670681) into \Windows\
Kitchen:
WM6.5.x QVGA WWE+FRA P3600I Kitchen 23041.5.3.0 (http://www.mediafire.com/?nodld5emmnw) [COM3 branch]
ROMs:

It is quite simple to create your own EXT Build with the Kitchen, and even include CABs of your own into that build.
First you need to convert your CAB into an OEM Package Folder to include it in the kitchen.
Download the Kitchen Converter (http://xda.b4pjs.co.uk/Kitchen%20Convertor.zip) bundle (by Da_G) and unzip it.
Copy your CAB file(s) (eg: "My_App.cab") into that Kitchen Converter folder (you can do multiple cabs)
Run CAB2NEWKITCHEN.bat and you will get a folder that is the unpacked version of each of your CAB files. eg: folder called "My_App" (which has an app.dat file with file/dir layout and app.reg with registry keys for the app).
Then you need to grab the latest Kitchen, make a new EXT build folder (rom recipe) and add your "My_App" folder to it.
Download the Latest (eg: 21900) Kitchen for P3600i and unzip it with 7zip
Go into the folder Kitchen-WWE+FRA_21900_P3600I\EXT\P3600i\
Make a copy of whichever build folder is the same name as the precooked rom you wanted to add your cab(s) to, and name it accordingly.
eg: copy "6IEMANTIT" and rename it "6IEMTMYAPP" (call it whatever you want but probably best keep it under 10 char)
Get the "My_App" package folder we made earlier and copy it into your new ext build folder (inside subfolder "P3600i_External_Packages").
eg: copy "My_App" into "Kitchen-WWE+FRA_21900_P3600I\EXT\P3600i\6IEMTMYAPP\P3600i_ External_Packages\"
Now you just need to run the Kitchen and build your ROM. If you are using Vista/Win7 then there might be some issues here ... I think you can do it if you run the kitchen as Admin, but there are other threads that will explain that. Also, you might need to temporarily disable runtime antivirus shielding (my builds would randomly crash right at the end otherwise).
Go to the Kitchen-WWE+FRA_21900_P3600I folder and run erviuskitchen.exe
Choose DEVICE = P3600I
Choose Language = 0409 (or 040C for Francais)
Choose EXT Build = 6IEMTMYAPP (or whatever you have called your build)
Click "Create ROM" button on the top left of window
If the build succeeds you will end up with the ROM Update utility being started and prompting you to plug in your phone, etc (just like when you download a pre-cooked rom). You can proceed straight into flashing your new rom or hit cancel.
The cooked ROM (and update utlity) will all be in the RELEASE_P3600I folder of the kitchen. Copy that whole folder somewhere and rename it accordingly (eg: "WWE_21815_6IEMTMYAPP_P3600I" ). There is your own cooked rom.
Good luck :)

Yes, you are correct ... there appear to be a few links (on "Applications" panel) to apps that are not installed: cleanRAM, HTC Album, HTC Audio Manager & YouTube (plus the link to PIM Backup has a bad path in it).
The Task Manager link in the root of the Start Menu has a bad path but the one in "Start Menu\Tools" is working correctly.
I will repost the mxip_WWE_CHome_Programs.provxml tomorrow (to fix the path for PIM Backup ... and maybe replace other broken links with apps that are installed).
As for the missing apps ... you could install them via cabs or (in the kitchen) add their oem package folders to the 6IEQMTIT build folder and recook the rom.
I think I will probably recook 6IEQMTIT myself (fixing all these things) and just update the link ... stay tuned ;)
Thanks for the feedback!

Doesn't the Connection Setup auto-config run when you first boot after install?
(you can re-run it manually from Settings->Connections->Connection Setup )
Or does it not include your particular telco Operator? What country/operator are you on?

Hello,
did you try version 23001.5.0.60 that Chanvis already post on his kitchen? http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=513421
Yes, I am in the middle of converting it right now :)
However ... I am reading some disturbing feedback in there about SMS/email messages not opening and such  ... delaying my release of the P3600I version until I see what Chanvi says about it.
I still have a little bit of work left to do with making all of my own tweaks for the QMTIT2 build that I will include. I had just got them all nicely polished with 21900 and now the CHome launcher structure has changed (now running apps from CLinks instead of CWelcomeCenter) so I have to repeat the process for the new CLinks reg keys and CPR files.
Without these changes, the modified version of TitaniumWeather 4.2 will not show up. Also the new apps panel is all in french right now so I would have to edit it anyway, lol :D
I might even post a pre-cooked test NBH just to get some feed back before I post up the Kitchen (it is kinda annoying that the current 21900 Kitchen I am hosting requires so many "fixes" to be applied ... depending on how 23001 turns out I am tempted to post a "SP1" release of the 21900 Kitchen just to tidy things up).
While I am still at this stage, does anyone have any specific requests for the Kitchen, ext builds and/or precooked roms?

Have you got Configuration_Network.cab (http://www.mediafire.com/?mzj0wtemmbe) set to run from the SDConfig.txt on your Storage Card?
It was always something that the cv93+oggi roms had in the "postinstall" folder (many versions ago) and I still run that on all my roms (just hadn't thought to mention it in this thread .. sorry :o ).
If you haven't got that cab then you need to run it. It will setup all the gprs/mms network config for your carrier.

Unfortunately I did not have that .cab set to go, but have installed it now and MMS is back running.
Other than that, this ROM is fast, low memory footprint, well set out and a pleasure to use.
I would love to see the tweaks from Schap's Advanced Config, under Power Management applied as part of upcoming ROMs that you may generate.
This is due to the ROM "appearing" to be a little battery hungry until you apply the power settings like AsyncMAC, IrSIR, PPTP and L2TP to enabled.

No, you need to use a rom cooked in the Trinity Kitchen (http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=513421) that this P3600i Kitchen is derived from.
I assume the reason you ask is because you are looking for a precooked 21900 rom? Which build was it that you are after? UltraLite? QuickMenu+Titanium?

Yeah, already am actually. That is the 21900_SP1 I am referring to.
I have also reworked the TitaniumWeather EXT package to have all 6 of the weather Icon packs preloaded too.
Fingers crossed I will have time to upload it later today.

Just wondering.
How stable are the kitchen ROMs? Do they have the HR issues of previous 6.1 ROMs?
They vary from version to version (especially since Chanvi was doing builds from all the different "branches" of 6.5 dev tree). Not sure what the "HR Issue" was ... memory management has been the biggest problem in the most recent few releases.
Anyway, as far as I can tell 21900 seems very stable and fast so far. I have just rebuilt an SP1 release of it (see first post) as I think it is a real keeper :)
Maybe some of the other users can provide better "comparison" testimonials ...

The SP1 release of 21900 is now ready (see first post).
It is pretty much just a rollup of all the fixes that I posted for 21900, but I wanted a clean 21900 kitchen/rom release that we could rely on as a STABLE version, that didn't need anything done to it prior to use.
As requested by desolateone, I have added an EXT package to my TIT2 variants which enables the Comm power management options (hopefully squeeze a bit more battery life out of it).
My EXT builds also have a new TitaniumWeather 4.2 package that comes with all 6 Icon packs pre-installed. However I will also post this package separately so that anyone who wants to add it to a Visual Kitchen build can do so.
Oh, and I also cooked an IE8 UltraLite ROM this time too (just in case anyone was missing that).
Sorry for all the delays but I have been very busy with work and other RL commitments (still am), so I am getting this stuff done whenever I get time.
Now that this 21900 SP1 is sorted out, I can move on to porting 23003 (which I am sure plenty of you are keen for). I hope it works out better than 23001 because my attempt at that release was a disaster (which I refused to upload here because I would just end up getting abuse from the people who tried it :p ).

Thanks for the reply the.decoy.
Well whenever I tried one of the 6.1 roms they would hard reset after a day or two when I did a soft reset.
I'll give your 21900 SP1 a go when I have time on the weekend, I'm still using Schaps 6.0, but I would like to know other users' experiences.
Thanks for keeping the p3600i up to date.

Yeah I think I had that happen a few times on some of the 6.1 roms I used (before I started playing with the cv93+oggi roms) ... but I think Chanvi resolved a lot of that random p3600i corruption a few versions ago when he took the XIP (and nk.exe and other bits) from a new oem HTC p3600i rom and grafted them into the Kitchen.
Now the only problems we have appear to be entirely 6.5 related (usually memory management) ... but 21900 seems great so far :)

Doesn't the Connection Setup auto-config run when you first boot after install?
(you can re-run it manually from Settings->Connections->Connection Setup )
Or does it not include your particular telco Operator? What country/operator are you on?
This is very strange: Settings/Connections/Connection Setup is not there after flashing liteSP1. No auto-config for Vodafone Aussie. Task Manager shows connmgr.exe running OK.
EDIT. Installed again and now seems to be OK. Strange!

Yeah I am guessing that for some random reason the Storage Card didn't respond fast enough, and ended up getting mounted to "Storage Card 2" ... which then breaks the path to Configuration_Network.cab in your SDConfig.txt (lol, in fact it probably breaks the path to SDConfig.txt in the first place  )
Had it happen to me once with one of the 218xx roms ... same story, another install and all was good.
Sorry I haven't got much done on the 2300x branch yet ... there seem to be constant developments on Da_G's thread so I am just watching closely (trying to avoid doing anything that will just get superseded within 48hrs). 21921 might be more worth investigating but again I am being cautious and scoping the feedback from the Raphael guys first. I'm afraid I just don't have the free time to punch out releases quite as fast as Chanvi, so I am trying to make sure the ones I do produce are useful.
My 21900 continues to work flawlessly so far ... I gave it the first cleanRAM run in over 3 days tonight (but only because it was idling at 14M free and I knew there was at least another 2M that could be released :D ).

I like the thoughts - chill out and watch! I also have a Diamond and enjoy swapping between - but always with Mobile Shell to avoid any confusion. The Diamond is good when wearing a suit - but I always go back to the 3600 when I want a ring to wake the dead (Old Phone). I still have not been able to use MTTY to clean out the 3600 - I think that I am missing the correct Task for the OliPro version that I am using - most of the other commands are OK.

Hi, Really happy with this ROM. I was having the odd reboot issue with my 6.1 ROM. This is better, slower though more stable. I have three issues though. How do I change the apps that are listed under each of the 'headings, such as Applications, Personal, Programs etc. Clicking on add/remove in Favourites does not work! I could not get data autoconfigured with NeXtG I had to do it manually. I am using http://www.mediafire.com/?vhm2mleewl2 ROM.

First disable "Windows Default" (Chome) on the Today Items list - you can't change anything while it is running. Then you can edit the existing app links by either:
- using CHome Editor (under "Utilities" in Start Menu) or
- write all of your changes to the CHome registry into a .provxml file (example (http://forum.xda-developers.com/attachment.php?attachmentid=200546&stc=1&d=1246325119)) and then import that using the Advanced Config app (under "Tools" in Start Menu).
Clicking on add/remove in Favourites does not work!
Yeah, that Favourites tab in CHome only works properly in the IE8 roms. I keep it active on CHome simply to give a launcher tab for IE6 (the favourites still work fine once inside IE). We opt for IE6 because most people prefer the leaner performance of it versus the slower IE8.
Same goes for the widgets (eg: MS Weather, Money, etc), they are IE8 dependant also.
I could not get data autoconfigured with NeXtG I had to do it manually. I am using http://www.mediafire.com/?vhm2mleewl2 ROM (6IEMANTIT2).
Hmmm, I assume you have got the Configuration_Network.cab (http://www.mediafire.com/?mzj0wtemmbe) set to install in your SDConfig.txt (as per instructions above)?
If not you can still install that cab at any time later and run the auto-config then (or if it is already installed there will be a "Connection Setup" app under Start Menu -> Connections ).
Glad you like the rom. :)

I think it should helpful to our trinity speedy. Cheer!!!
No worries, I will check it out ... although I must say that I am going to tread cautiously with it as our "i" models tend to be very picky about filesystem drivers, etc. Also, the concept sounds very memory hungry to me and our phones are already desperate for RAM as it is. Not quite sure how reading files from SD Card would be faster than from internal flash ... I guess lowering the number of large files in the Windows dir will have some benefit ...
Have you tried adding it to any of our existing kitchens?
Anyway, I will check it out as soon as I get a chance. I have been busy building a new P3600I Kitchen that runs on the newer ervius visual 1.6 and does the final NBH assemble using HTCRT instead of NBHUtil (i.e. no more of those damn "Platformbuilder" crashes when cooking).
Making the P3600I mods to the kitchen didn't take too long but I have also been learning how to port Da_G's Fuze builds into it (which has been quite a steep learning curve  )
I finally got it all working last night and I am beta testing the (crazy "fat" UI) 21928 build on my phone right now. :D
With all that sorted out, I plan to go back and convert Chanvi's last release (23003) and post it on this thread ... then I might make a new thread for the Da_G ported kitchens/roms I am making. Hopefully get a few things uploaded by the end of this weekend.

Cool, glad you like it :)
Yeah, I still think 21900 is a bit leaner than this build (memory usage) ... but this one has some of the new flashy UI changes that are coming in on the 23xxx releases (whilst still being reasonably stable).
Sigh ... :(
Unfortunately I have just found a mistake I made in the CLinks ("Applications") plugin on Titanium. The Google Maps link is on "Page3" but I somehow forgot to use \\ slashes in the "PICTURES" regkey for the icon (so it fails to create due to syntax) and so that link isn't showing up.
Can be fixed very easily though:
[IN KITCHEN] (eg: for 6IETIT)
EDIT EXT\P3600i\6IETit\P3600i_External_Packages\yyyy-CHome-xCustomize\0409\app.reg
[HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\Security\CHome\DefaultSettings\ CLinks\Page3]
"PICTURES"="\\Windows\\GoogleMaps.png"
"GUID"="{2F710F22-9F19-43fa-8F35-9927D246B078}"
"SK2URL"="\\Program Files\\GoogleMaps\\GoogleMaps.exe"
"SK2TEXT"="Launch"
"TEXT1"="Google Maps"
"TITLETEXT"="Google Maps"
"TEXT2"="Google Maps"
"ACTIONURL"="\\Program Files\\GoogleMaps\\GoogleMaps.exe"
[IN THE RUNNING ROM]
Disable CHome ("Windows Default" in Today Items)
Open RegEdit
Add the PICTURES value to both of these 2 regkey locations:
[HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\Software\Microsoft\CHome\CLinks \Page3]
"PICTURES"="\\Windows\\GoogleMaps.png"
[HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\Security\CHome\DefaultSettings\ CLinks\Page3]
"PICTURES"="\\Windows\\GoogleMaps.png"
Other than that, the only other issue is that I forgot to add HTC Album and Audio Manager to 6IETIT and 6IEQMTIT, so that is why there are broken links for those two apps in the CLinks launcher. Just install them manually if you use the rom, or copy these EXT package folders (from 6IEMANTIT) if you are cooking them in the kitchen:
PACKAGE_Iolite_AudioManager
PACKAGE_Jade_HTCGesture
PACKAGE_Jade_Album
Sorry about these clumsy mistakes ... it was very late last night when I finished putting the kitchen together :o

CHome files have been fixed, Album & Audio have been added to Titanium builds and while I was at it I took the chance to put the full WM6.5 ringtones collection back into the SYS. (lol, they are all just more variations on that same wm jingle ... but at least there's a few more to choose from :p)

lol, yeah I know ... he uploaded 21921, 23008 & 23009 today. Sorry I should have had 23003 ready for you weeks ago but was distracted with kitchen modifications. Anyway I am doing 21921 right now and hope to have all three up very shortly. I won't have had a chance to test them or anything so will have to rely on you guys to find bugs :p
I will have a quick look at the Analog Clock too ... what happened when you tried to add it?
PS: I keep meaning to ask ... doesn't your CHT9110 run on Trinity roms instead of p3600i? Or do you just harvest my changes from the kitchen and then apply them to the original Trinity kitchen?

It works ok from the cab install ... except that width/height settings for the Weather icon are not quite right in the config it adds to Titanium CPR files. Easy fix, just take correct width/height from "CurrentIcon" image in the TitaniumWeather config in same CPR file :)
Are you trying to build it into the kitchen and set as default clock?
I can see 2 problem with that:
EXT package will not add config to Titanium_XXXxXXX.cpr files
The CHome plugins list and order will be overridden by CHome_Customise EXT package
... on top of that, the more obvious issue will be that the Kitchen converter is putting the package files/folders under a subfolder called "0.7b". Just take that subfolder, rename and use as ext package folder to put in kitchen.
Here (EDIT: attachments moved to first post) is a zipped EXT package of CAnalogClock and a pair of CPR files to replace those in "yyyy-CHome-xCustomize\0409\files\". With just these you will cook rom with normal clock as default but CAnalogClock installed and you can change it to default in the CAnalogClock Options app under "Utilities".
If you really want CAnalogClock as default from cooked rom, you will need to edit (in kitchen) the CHome plugins order regkeys in yyyy-CHome-xCustomize\0409\app.reg and replace "CCLock" with "CAnalogClock" (and also move it to front of the order).
eg:
[HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\Software\Microsoft\CHome]
"Plugins"="CAnalogClock;CMyPhotos;CMusic;CWelcomeCenter;CPhon e;CVoicemail;TitaniumWeather;ATFavePeople;CHome;CT ext;CEmail;CAppointments;CLinks;Settings;CHomeFavs ;CWindowsLive"
"ExtensibilityXML"="<Plugins Order=\"CAnalogClock;CMyPhotos;CMusic;CWelcomeCenter;CPhon e;CVoicemail;TitaniumWeather;ATFavePeople;CHome;CT ext;CEmail;CAppointments;CLinks;Settings;CHomeFavs ;CWindowsLive\" CPRFileName=\"Titanium\" DisplayStyle=\"Titanium\" />"
"DefaultXML"="<Plugins Order=\"CAnalogClock;CMyPhotos;CMusic;CWelcomeCenter;CPhon e;CVoicemail;TitaniumWeather;ATFavePeople;CHome;CT ext;CEmail;CAppointments;CLinks;Settings;CHomeFavs ;CWindowsLive\" CPRFileName=\"Titanium\" DisplayStyle=\"Titanium\" />"
Now that I am aware of this plugin I will include the ext package and make the necessary changes to all my Titanium CPR files in the kitchens.
However, I will leave the normal clock as default so that turning on CAnalogClock is at the discretion of the users :)

EDIT: Just noticed some pretty screwed up layout values in those CPR settings (whoever provided the QVGA layout was in a real hurry or didn't actually havea QVGA device). Have done my best to fix any elements that were half off the screen in the Protrait res, but the Landscape layout is totally wack! Anyway the CPR zip file attached has been updated to use better 240x320 cpr.

Ok, so you do need roms with the 0x401 boot (i.e. p3600i) ... I was just confused because the XDA device db says 9110 is same spec as Trinity/p3600 (0x400 boot devices).

Actually you should hold off for another hour ... I am rewriting those CPR files again right now. The QVGA layout is just rubbish and so I am fixing it. It will still be buggy and a memory hog, but at least everything will fit on the screen :D

Done. See first post.
I have even come up with a 320x240 layout that looks reasonable.
However, I am inclined to include the package in the kitchen but set it as disabled in .erv rom configs (because it is so buggy and slow). I think the combo of it and Weather is just too much bloat on the system.
Depends on how much you prefer that flashy clock page to the default one I guess :)

So you are getting through the whole first boot then? stylus alignment? setting date? running autorun? then freeze on next boot?
How are you trying to "combine" 23009 to the kitchen? what folders? from what other kitchen?

Have finally caught up to Chanvi again ... not much sleep last night but the are 4 new kitchens uploaded (see first post). :D
Haven't had enough time to cook roms of them all, but I have at least cooked some from 21921 as this has the cool new Inertial Scrolling feature to play with.
If anyone needs specific 5.3.0 branch (230xx) roms cooked, just post a request and I will cook them on demand.
23016 has a few new EXT packages for various customisations/fixes by Chanvi ... you will have to investigate yourself as I have not had a chance to :o
I have added one of my own to all of these kitchens which turns on the Taskbar Battery indicator via .provxml (regkeys), because it was getting annoying not knowing if it would be there or not in the latest builds.
Cheers! :)

By the way thanking so much for an efforts done.
My question is......now which one is the best among all those good roms?
Propose one...good one for me.
Thanking you in advance

Just a question.
I have one of your wm6.5 ROMs (WWE_21900_SP1_6IEMANTIT2_P3600I) and the battery drain is really bad. Battery flat in under 24 hrs with minimal use. Which ROM has better battery life associated with it?
Just an addit! What is the difference between a ROM and a Kitchen. I assume you make a ROM in the kitchen Duh! Though the.decoy's signature says he runs a kitchen as a ROM :
HTC P3600i
ROM: CV93+Oggi 23016 Kitchen (21928 Hybrid: MD1 StartMenu enhancements)
Radio-Rom: 1.56.70.11
SPL: Hard-SPL Olipro 3.2

You're welcome :)
Unfortunately I have been so busy making kitchens that I have not really had much chance to test/compare any of these builds.
lol, I have personally been running that 23016/21928 hybrid since Friday and it was only yesterday that I finally realised the IE6 in it was completely broken
So I'm afraid that, right this minute, the only one I would personally consider "stable" is indeed 21900.
That said, I have only had a single lockup from 23016 (today - it just never came back from "screen off" mode when I went to use it at lunch) and it has been many builds since I last had a hard reset or corruption ... so really we are just talking about UI bugs and memory management now.
When it comes to memory, not one of the builds I have tried lately runs as lean as 21900. The whole 23xxx (COM3) branch seems to be more memory hungry in general and all of the recent 21xxx builds are so full of wacky new UI changes that it is hard to compare them
Sorry I know this doesn't really answer your question ... just brain-dumping whatever info I have gathered on these builds.
Just a question.

Hmmm, I suppose 21900 did rip through the battery a bit quickly ... although I must say that I long ago gave up on expecting more than a full day out of my p3600i battery :(
However I have found that having any kind of constant internet (ie: push Exchange syncing, or email on 5min check, etc) use will nail the battery in crazy short time (seriously I even tried one of those chunky HD batteries with bulging case backing and everything - it only buys you an extra 1-2hrs).
Better ROMs? I don't really have any proper metrics to base it on but I am pretty sure the 23xxx builds seem better optimised for battery consumption ... they just chew up more memory instead :p

oh, sorry for the confusion ... I kinda took my cue from Chanvi's sig there.
Indeed my phone is running on a ROM. I just specify that Kitchen in my sig to indicate that it is a ROM I cooked myself from that kitchen (as opposed any particular ROM that can be downloaded as is).
Most of the time I am using exactly the same NBH as one of the ones that I have uploaded but it is always possible that I have enabled/disabled certain apps in the kitchen to test something ...
I guess I should maybe preface it with "ROM: Custom cooked with ..."

Thanks for that, it helps. One final query. I am having issues with syncing. What settings on the phone are required to allow the update to run properly as I am unable to detect the phone with activesync? Attempting to activate WMStorage I get the error, "Can't switch to mass storage USB driver, error 1F".

Which ROM is that you are having this problem with?
I am still on 23016 and can confirm the WMStorage error (although I have no idea when this started because I never used it before today).
However ActiveSync is working perfectly well for me

Also, can you help me with some bug tracking? I need to know when did WMStorage last work for you (what build)?

OK, I think I know what the problem was with WMStorage.
IIRC the 1F error is basically a filesystem locking issue (open files, etc) ... so I took a guess that it might be the CachePIE5_Messaging_SD.cab causing this.
Disabled installing that cab in my SDConfig.txt and the ROM I just installed has a working WMStorage now.
:D ... speaking of which ... if you are feeling really brave you are welcome to try out the 23022 test ROM I cooked (complete port from Da_G SYS/XIP sources, cooked in a new ervius 1.8.1 kitchen).
This thing has a crazy 219xx influenced UI and I have not killed IE8 or anything. My first compile was a dud and needed several modules converted to files ... seems ok now though ... TRY IT AT YOUR OWN RISK ;)
Anyway, scary warnings aside .. here is a the link:
WWE_23022_P3600I_decoy-test (http://www.mediafire.com/?xzwwzj4bhnd)

OK, the problem is the installation of the .cab. Now that it is installed how do I uninstall it to get WMStorage working again?
The cab contains nothing more than a set of registry changes which set the IE cache/cookies/history destination (and inbox attachments folder) to be folders under the path \Storage Card\
Here is a .provxml (http://forum.xda-developers.com/attachment.php?attachmentid=213446&stc=1&d=1249605460) that will reverse all the changes it makes. Unzip it into your My Documents folder. Open up AdvancedConfig, go to Menu->Import provisioning XML and choose "remove_cacheie_msg_sdcard.provxml"
When you go to exit AdvancedConfig, choose "Yes" to do a soft reset.
After boot up try WMStorage again. The open file locks should now be gone.
Without it working I cannot sync to flash a new Rom!
TONY
The WMStorage issue has nothing to do with ActiveSync problems ...
What happens if you 3-button into HardSPL and connect the usb cable? (have you tried a different usb cable?)
I assume that when you flash new roms you are using the ROMUpdateUtility.exe while the phone is in the HardSPL (tri-colour) screen?
Sorry, I have heard of a few people having broken activesync issues with various roms (not this one) but it is never the rom itself, usually something is messed up on the handset (or the the PC or the usb cable).

Actually I have just cooked another 23022 with the magnifier disabled ... hopefully got the start menu screen corruption (top bar) fixed too.
I am just flashing it right bow but if it fixes the topbar I will upload in the next few minutes.

Yeah, I know. lol, it is pretty insane to think you would need to magnify anything in this build - everything is already HUGE
You can kill it right now with this regkey if you want:
[HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\System\GWE\MAGNIFIER]
"Enable"=dword:0
I will definitely get another rom uploaded today ... although I am also experimenting with removing all of CHanvi's visual customisations (since MS is adding so many of their own) ... so don't be too put off by start menu folders not having icons and the CHome select bar going back to monochrome. Is all part of the process of me building up my own kitchen :D

Actually they have even included that in this build too :)
As far as I can tell it is all of the MD1 "enhancements" rolled into whatever they latest COM3 build was (probably 23017 or something).
OK, todays build is uploaded now ... the topbar corruption _was_ gone but then after 2 trips to the start menu it was back! gah! Will have to keep working on that ...

Anyway, the stupid Magnifier is turned off, and the Owner Info + Input + Buttons are back in Settings-> Personal
I have kept Chanvi's CHome app launchers (Settings & CLinks) and the Notifications panel ... but other than that I am trying out the standard WM6.5 look. Sorry about the start menu folder icons ... will get them sorted later (probably rearranging them anyway).
Have a good weekend everyone :)

No sorry, IE is definitely not working in that hybrid (I mentioned that a few posts ago).
It looks like the IE is broken is all of those recent Chanvi kitchens I converted to p3600i.
Narshorn (in the Trinity kitchen thread) said it was due to the leftover RGU file in SYS\browsingie ... I haven't had a chance to test that yet myself, but here is a copy of 23016_6IEMANTIT that I have recooked with that RGU taken out:

The driver on the PC was not loading correctly and therefore not displaying a connection to the PDA in the WMDC.

At what point does it fail? Does Mediafire give you an error?

In addition to whatever changes MS have made, I have done the StartMenu_Gridscene fix so that the top row of icons aren't obscured and as a memory-scavenging exercise I have been very brutal with recmod'ing almost any non-core modules back into files - so much so that I have managed to completely clear out "Slot 0" of the memory map. We will see if this helps keep more mem free or if it just means that the rom locks up whenever enough of it has been leaked by bad apps

Cool, I check those themes out real soon. No hurry to test 23024, it isn't really much different to 23022.
Actually good that you are working on 23016 as I suspect it will be the next candidate for "STABLE" status in this thread (since any new COM3 branch builds are going to be on the wacky new UI from MD1 branch). So by all means look at ways to pretty it up or make it more stable before we lock it off and make the full set of roms from it :)

Topbar corruption in startmenu is finally fixed and I have also fixed the X/OK button from looking like it did. Apparently dialer is non-scrolling again too.
Oh yeah, should mention that "Fave People" (ATContacts) is still broken as of 23024 ... some kind of problem with it being compiled for a certain version of PocketOutlook, so not much I can do right now :( If you are still in a rom with it working I suggest dumping the regkeys for it and trying to import them back in after flashing (suspect it might just be the contacts selector that is borked).
And for ssamth, here is a beta copy of my new kitchen (with 23025) so you can play with altering these latest builds for yourself:
WM65-P3600I-DECOY-BETA-Kitchen-18_23025 (http://www.4shared.com/file/124319732/7364a7c3/WM65-P3600I-DECOY-BETA-Kitchen-18_23025.html)
It is far from being ready for general consumption ... but it is completely functional and uses the latest ervius 1.8.1 visual kitchen :D
Note that EXT layout is different to Chanvi (just 1 folder per build version, some pkgs in SHARED, some in COMMON) and I plan to use .erv files to set the package selections for ie6/ie8 & full/lite/etc.
Just open it, choose P3600i and then click on "Load ROM" (it should be pretty obvious from there).

Ummm  ... just the one I posted above ^^^
It isn't broken or anything ... I just haven't come up with a final EXT collection or start menu customisation of my own yet.
It could be quite a while before I get around to those things because I am currently obsessed with finding the right balance of files/modules to optimise our Virtual Memory usage (lol, along with everyone else in Da_G's porting thread :P ). On top of that there is a new build every few days lately (23028 just came out today).
You should at least give this one a try. I am happy to keep uploading it as I make changes to it but I want the "final" kitchen to be as good as I can make it so I am not rushing. :)

Yeah I know, I am really amazed at what a difference it made to get all those modules out of slot0 on the VM. Mine has been without a reboot for 3 days now and it just seems to stay solidly at about 80% ram used (goes up when apps are open but then back down again when they are closed) ... and super stable :)
The biggest hassle is that with the new OK/X buttons, nothing actually closes - it just minimises (which is really frustrating when you need to be pixel accurate when going to task manager because of the clock and new titlebar).
But overall I am liking the performance so much I am not even noticing the gigantic fonts/menus/etc as much :p
and also i got automatic switch off phone after backlight activate several time ( I mean after the phone get black light off, the phone is completed turn OFF like we press power botton, have check all the setting but its all ok).
Ahh, yeah I heard 1 or 2 people mention something about that ... hadn't seen it myself yet. Sounds like a build problem - much like the weird image skewing in AT Fave People or the strange font scaling in some CHome panels.
EDIT: Can't seem to replicate it on mine ... are you using backlight app on CHome app launcher or the control panel app under Settings-System ?
anyway, still waitting for your new rom version kitchecn and also hope it will include the new style today theme too. :) cheer!!!
Which new style today theme do you mean? I am actually quite keen to do something about the theme(s) in my release kitchen.

OK, looking into that JML plugin now.
Haven't cooked any since the 23025_test1 that I posted on the 11th. That's the rom I have been running since then :D
I am finally doing the port of 23028 right now ... but based on what I am reading in the Da_G thread I am not expecting anything special from it. I think they add some color to the new titlebar thing but no bugs got fixed

OK, no worries. I installed the bare JML on my 23025 yesterday and I must say I find it to be a better platform for Today Screen than CAnalogClock was.
I cooked/flashed a 23028 last night so I will try putting that complete JML bundle (lib + skin + etc) onto it later today. Then I can look into how hard it would be to convert it to an EXT folder so we can cook it in (ready to go).
What exactly was you wish-list for JML? I might be able to help you there.
PS: Don't worry I will upload that 23028 later today too ;) I just need to recook it first to fix a few things.

Well I am going to put together an EXT package for JMLToday so I can include it in the kitchen (and dump CAnalogCLock).
So if you have any requests, ask them now :D
What are the mods you wanted to do?
I already need to do something about the English-lang defaults being all US-centric only (imperial temp, backwards date, etc) and I also want to add a few more City codes to the built in list (including my own of course :o ) so that we don't have to go hunting down the Yahoo city code and enter it manually.
Anyone got some Cities they want added to the list?

thks the decoy, it seem what i try to mod was already ask by and Jumba already give the guide where to go :). http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=540116&page=19 on post#185. I really like the duo analog clock rather than the digital one.
if you can launch new kitchen with selectable clock (analog/digital) would be great.
also for my personal request if you can add Thai language and Thai PCM keyboard from the cab attached here in to the kitchen would be highly appreciate.

Yes, I definitely plan to do that now. Probably have two different JMLToday EXT folders (each defaulted to Digital or Analog setup).

lol, sorry man .. I am getting really close :o
I finished cleaning up most of the EXT-COMMON package folders last night, added some more performance tweaking to the OEM XIP and had a really cool idea for how I can automate all the PLG additions to the Titanium CPRs for our cooked-in plugins (as opposed to having to constantly hack the new build's CPRs and then overwrite them from an EXT folder).
I now simply have to make a handful of EXT folders that will set some icons for the start menu folders and create EXTs the JMLToday plugins.
I am sorry I didn't get more done today but I actually got sidetracked with writing a Mort app that will toggle the Vibrate option on/off for email/text/mms alerts (something I find annoyingly missing in the new chunky UI builds).
I just posted it to the Da_G builds thread a few min ago:
http://forum.xda-developers.com/showpost.php?p=4372788&postcount=1616
Oh ... I also started working on your Thai cabs :( ... man that thai-enabled cab is messed up! No wonder the kitchen converter could not handle it (the cab has some kind of embedded setup.exe instead of an xml). I have managed to decyper most of it in a hex editor and know what the files are and where they go ... but trying to work out what registry changes it makes it tricky.
When you run it ... does it stop windows from running in English or does it just enable the use of thai text when you receive it in msgs?
From what I can tell it basically seems to do some kind of trick with a pair of Tahoma font files, some codepage hacks and a replacement wince.nls (thats the scary part - would make non-booting rom if I let the EXT just dump that in the windows dir )

no, no. Is ok :)
I like a challenge :D
The PCM Keyboard was simple and I have already added it to EXT-COMMON.
For the Thai-enable I will just have to install it myself from cab and try and reverse engineer whatever it changes in the registry ... if that doesn't work you will just have to continue installing it from cab on first boot after flash ...
However I might be able to make that easier anyway since my idea about the PLG/CPR setup involves putting XDA_UC into the ROM (instead of the regular autorun / UC we current use) so I can have cabs & scripts in the ROM image that are set to run on first boot (without need of anything on your SD card).
Anyway, it is Friday night now so I am off for a beer with some mates ;)

Sorry man ... been swamped with work ... haven't ported any new builds since 23028 (and even that build is just test mule for the kitchen).
The kitchen is very close but I am still debugging the automatic PLG installer script I wrote for adding the Titanium plugins into the CPR files. I am still a bit noob with mortscript so it is hard to follow what happened when it doesn't work :(
I would offer up the NBH of that test build I am running but you would only find it to be less than the last one I gave you (because none of the plugins are in the CPRs - its basically lame) ... plus it actually corrupted on me yesterday (first time in several builds).
So, unfortunately you will just need a little patience for now. Believe me I will be uploading it the moment I get it working right ... then I can get back to doing build ports in a timely manner too :D

Kinda frustrated that I am stuck at like 95% ready with my own kitchen but my work has been crazy busy lately and when I do find some time I am getting a bit bogged down with obsessing over the messy nature of EXT packages (leaving all their files in the Windows dir during the cooking)
... especially all these Titanium plugins I want to include, which all share common file-naming and therefore overwrite it each other in the process :(
eg: all of them use CHomeRefresh.exe and ATPluginInstaller.exe and thats cool as I only need 1 copy of those but they also each have a "Default.plg" which is completely different for each plugin (so then I have to do lots of tedious file renaming and edit the app.dat to name them back post-cook.
Then on top of that, if any of the plugins have a weather component that means another 40-50 image files that end up cluttering up the Windows dir
I wrote a pretty nifty little mortscript for auto-installing the PLGs into Titanium's CPR files (run on first boot via Autorun) but now I am starting to think that maybe I should just roll all the plugins back into CABs which get installed on first boot instead :)
LOL, anyway, in the meantime it is a lot easier for me to convert a new Chanvi kitchen (adding a few of my own tweaks) and pass that on :D
I still haven't heard back from Chanvi about whether there were any OEM folder changes required for this build (might need to re-release it if there are) but I have been running the 8IEMANTIT rom on my own phone for 24hrs now and it seems ok to me (quite smooth and responsive in fact). Not using the M2D side of it though, just wanted to make sure I tested the "Full" rom for you guys.

Actually this has the newer (COM3) functionality for Start Menu ranking:
Press+Hold on Icon
Drag icon to preferred location (on top of another icon that is in that location)
Drop :D (it will bump the previous icon down to make room)
The way it re-arranges the icon you are displacing takes a bit of getting used to but in general it is much quicker for getting that top page of Start Menu setup with all your most favourite icons.
EDIT:
Oh yeah, I also forgot to mention that the wallpaper you can see in the screen shots is included in the rom (the files are classicblue_stwater_240_320.jpg and classicblue_stwater_320_240.jpg and you can find them in the Windows dir).
Chanvi put them into the SYS so that they would replace the standard Classic Blue theme wallpapers but no matter what I do they seem to get overridden by that light blue background that gets set during first boot
So as of right now, the easiest way to use them is to go to Themes, choose "Classic Blue" (DO NOT CHOOSE ANY OF THE OTHER THEMES AS THAT WILL BREAK THE NEW 6.5.x UI) and that will get rid of the light blue, then dump these two files back into the Windows folder as stwater_240_320.jpg and stwater_320_240.jpg . I will attach them here to make it nice and easy.

Sorry, not that I am aware of anyway.

:( No you're right, it is the phone canvas settings in phcanrc.dll
It seems that the dialed number (and the top half of the auto-complete numbers list box) are being displayed too high on screen in the new UI.
Damn, they have finally got rid of the scrollbar on phone canvas that all the previous COM3 builds had ... and now this
I had a quick look into phcanrc.dll to see if I can find the settings that need tweaking ... but I can't quite make sense of which DIALOGs refer to "number being dialed" panel.
As soon as I come up with a fixed phcanrc.dll I will post it here.

First of all, THANKS OGGI :D
Really appreciate you stepping in to help on this (I am extremely busy at work these last few weeks so I am finding it hard to respond on XDA quickly).
can anybody tell me wat the mean of [KITCHEN]? WWE? FRA? is wat means?
KITCHEN = Application and files required to build your own ROM
WWE = English (code 0409)
FRA = French (code 040C)
In this thread I provide Kitchen bundles so that people can build a ROM that is custom suited to their needs. However I do always include several pre-built ROMs that I have compiled using that Kitchen (see first page).
As Oggi mentioned, this Kitchen is actually evolved from the one built by Oggi & Chanvi (for the P3600i's older brother, the Trinity).
Hi minigirl
You can find a great amount of stuffs and articles in here ...just do your search, reading, and read a lot.........for sure U could get all the answers to ur question.
Actually it was yesterday when I was in the process of writing a reply to minigirl - with links to the various guides she would need - when I discovered that (much to my horror) the TrinityGuides.info website has been retired  and the domain now has damn page-squatters on it
So, since then I have been attempting to rebuild the Trinity Flashing Guide myself (using text recovered via the cache copy at Internet Archive).
I now have a working replica posted into the P3600i Flashing Tutorial (http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?p=4550781#post4550781) thread.
I am going to have to re-capture all of the images (I have only had time to do the Hard-SPL one so far). If anyone happens to have a copy (or PDF) of the original I would very much like to get a copy.
I realise that at this stage in the Trinity/P3600i lifecycle we are not going to see too many new TRIN* users on the XDA scene but minigirl proves that these phones are still going to get sold a few more times (2nd-hand) before they die and we don't want the new owners bricking them because there was no tutorial for how to get Hard-SPL on there before they start flashing
Thanks everybody! :)

It will be in the \Windows\ folder on your phone
Connect via ActiveSync

This is using the wm6.5 Windows Live "Messenger" app?
Yeah, I unfortunately none of the Windows Live apps have been able to login for me either. Sorry ... not sure what build version this problem started at :(
If anyone knows what version of Chanvi's ROMs it last worked for, I would be keen to investigate what changed since then.
I have been meaning to look into this for a awhile but I wasn't sure if it was just me (no one else had mentioned it so far).
I am currently in the middle of porting 23052 so if anyone has suggestions for this bug I am keen to hear them :D

Yep, you had it flagged as "for FingerKeyb" ... I will start experimenting with replacing that.
First I will have to work our WTF is going on with 23052 ... it seems the entire Autorun system is borked  none of the provxml files are being imported on first boot and the config.txt isn't being run either???
I am a few days behind on following Da_G's thread right now so I am reading my way through trying to see when this started. I know a few people had this happen when they replaced their OEM initflashfiles.dat (using the newer dats Da_G posted) but I haven't done that yet.
Have you been porting anything newer than 23041 (on any device) and seen this happen?
EDIT: Oh I almost forgot ... with your 23041 kitchen, did you made some changes to the OEM? Should I be make same changes to the P3600i OEM files?
EDIT2: No joy with that compime.dll from 21731. Still get error saying cannot login, "might be your connection" etc etc
... worse still I am hitting a brick wall with this autorun issue in 23052
it has to be something in the SYS but narrowing it down is sooooo time consuming because need to build rom and flash device every time to test.

I have autorun running in 23052. It starts but it doesn't reboot when it finish (sdautorun)
The oemfiles changes are to put a link to checkautorun in the startup folder. you can do it whith app.dat or in a provxml...
For the keyboard, ezinput 1.5 works fine

Yes but wasn't this fix required way back around build 2302x or something? because of the new initflash.dat's ?
Because I never used the updated initflash.dat file
I have a kitchen where (OEM completely untouched) I can build a fully autorun-capable ROM using the 23041 SYS/XIP but autorun is dead if I use 23052 SYS/XIP
Is it even autorun that imports all the mxipupdate_***.provxml files anyway?? Because none of them are getting done either?? And they are integral to the SYS being setup properly??? wtf :(
For the keyboard, ezinput 1.5 works fine
lol, actually keyboard is fine ... chanvi was suggesting compime for a MSN issue, I was saying that I thought compime was used to fix fingerkeyb.

Aha! :D
Found (in fact remembered) something in my OEM setup ...
The oemfiles changes are to put a link to checkautorun in the startup folder. you can do it whith app.dat or in a provxml...
OK, just realised ... this has nothing to do with AutoRun ... it is my .provxml files not being imported that is causing the problem!
You see, my Kitchen's OEM (built by Chanvi/Oggi) uses mxipupdate_zzPIED_101.provxml to create that shortcut to checkautorun, and because none of the provxml files are being run, the shortcut isn't getting created.
So ... the real question is: why on earth is 23052 not importing/running the mxipupdate_XXX.provxml files???
Any ideas?
Any chance I have recmodded something I shouldn't have (lol, not like I have a choice with this 6.1 NK :p )
Thanks! :D

why on earth is 23052 not importing/running the mxipupdate_XXX.provxml files???
Check the file attributes of the *.vol files
I'm putting the checkautorun link whith a provxml whithout problems
lol, actually keyboard is fine ... chanvi was suggesting compime for a MSN issue, I was saying that I thought compime was used to fix fingerkeyb.
compime.dll is the file which shows the suggested words, ezinput comes whith another one, FingerKeyb uses the standard one. So using ezinput use other dll.

Ah, yes I suspect it might be a file attributes issue. I had to strip the SHR flags off a few things to be able to edit an RGU ... was a bit distracted at the time and might have done it globally to the whole SYS (my bad :o )
Think it will be faster if I just extract SYS again from scratch (yay, more recmodding  ) ... frankly I should have done that sooner because surely there would have been more noise in the Da_G thread if anyone else had this problem. Oh well, breaking things is always the quickest way to learn their inner workings :p
Later today (when I build another 23052) I will check out smartdialing for you (what exactly am I testing for?).
Thanks!
@chanvi93
Yeah I always leave SQM alone (I don't even bother with the dummy version because really that feedback pop-up isn't so bad, you just close it anyway).
In fact given the extra Storage Memory we have on the P3600i (vs the Trinity), I tend to strip very few packages from SYS (if any) ... I just brutally recmod the stuff that is "useless" so that it isn't costing me any Slot 0 VM.
Thanks again, sorry to bother you about this stuff now that you aren't officially doing Trinity anymore.

Yes, I am aware of this bug ... it was introduced somewhere in the new new 6.5.x UI layout :(
Many people reported similar "dialer layout" issues with the Tachi dialer and referred to a fix that can be done by hacking the phcanrc.dll
Unfortunately I have not yet managed to do this myself (sorry, I have never successfully edited a DLL and then signing it properly it to go back into the kitchen) :(
If someone else wants to donate some dll-hacking skills I would be very thankful. :D
Eventually I will have the spare time to try to master it myself (or find a new phone canvas) ... in the meantime I do all my calls from contacts anyway.
EDIT: I should point out that I have actually had this DLL open and looked into it ... the biggest problem is that I cannot work out which DIALOG object is actually the "Current entering number" field we are looking for  ... the fix for the Tachi dialer people was apparently something to do with adding an EXSTYLE (or something like that) to the top of the appropriate DIALOG section, although the ID numbers they refer to are not even in our DLL

Yeah, it was those file permissions. Extracted a fresh SYS and made sure not to change any attribs and the build works now. Thanks buddy!
Unfortunately I can also confirm that SmartDialing is indeed dead (it was already too far up the screen layout in 23041 anyway).
Along with SmartDialing not working, the "current dialling number" field is now totally off screen (before you could at least see the bottom few pixel rows of that field).
Whole damn (OEM 1.50.27317.0) Phone Canvas is going fubar
One solution I have just tested is to use the newer OEM Canvas/SmartDial package from the latest MEGA (QVGA) packages.
You can install the Canvas onto existing rom using this cab:
HTC Phone Canvas 2G.3.0.1917.1620.cab (http://www.mediafire.com/download.php?lngyytmmzgj)
It has a fully working SmartDial and you can see what number you are dialing ...
However, this newer canvas does have the cursed "Unnecessary ScrollBar" issue :(
Depends on which issue irks you more I guess
EDIT: Oh yeah forgot, no Video Calls on this Canvas as it is only 2G
EDIT2: And annoyingly it seems to keep opening the dialer whenever you "wake" the phone up with the power button
(that happens wiith cab install and also with it cooked into the ROM in place of old canvas/smartdial)

Ok, So it is not me.
What I have done is disable the smartdialing so I have 3G dialer whith no wakeup problems.
The wake up problem is happening in any phonecanvas newer than 1.5 so I suspect that we are forced to drop smartdial support or to use the native dialer (2G).

Don't you still have the problem with "current dialing number" field being off the top of screen in the 3G dialer (when dialing numer directly from keypad)?
I am currently trying out Trinity_Pandora dialpad cabs that Chanvi used to include in his suggested bundle of UC ("Postinstall") cabs. Blue is pretty much just like the native dialer but works well enough. The Diamond dialer is working well and it has its own smartdial ... which works the very first time you use it (albeit with the listbox halve visible issue) but then is not working the next time you use the dialer
However what I find more troubling so far with 23053 is the memory usage
It starts out ok, but after a few hours the free memory gets quite low (compared to how 23041 would be) :(
Have you seen this or do I need to go examine my SYS to see if I have borked something else in the porting (or the dialer experimenting)?
there is no way to get those roms for p3600?
Yes, very simply. They are derived from the Trinity kitchen (http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=513421) to begin with ... just download the 23009 Kitchen, update it with the 23041 download and then cook whichever ROM you wanted.
Or are you referring getting them pre-cooked into ROMs so you can just install?
Which ROM in particular were you after? I guess I could cook a few of them for Trinity if people want them.

Are you closing the apps? The X button now it is not catched by the HTC task manager, you have to wait for a newer version or use e-natives showcase.

OK, will have to check that out ... you just ditched the SmartDialing folder from OEM in the Kitchen?

Yeah, no "wake up" bug with this "Diamond" style dialer ... I have been editing the phcanrc.dll for it today but I cannot seem to get the smartdial dialog control to move down far enough. My first change of coords moved it down ~10px but non of my subsequent edits, with ever higher "Top" values, have moved it down far enough to be 100% visible
But so far it is still my best option because:
YES = 3G (Video) Capable
YES = Visible Number Dialed
NO = Unnecessary Scrollbar Bug
MAYBE = Working Smartdial
The only link I ever had was the WWE_PostInstall.rar (http://www.mediafire.com/?f3zda24nltz) that Chanvi has from older kitchen ... they are in the dialpad folder of that rar file.

Yeah I am fully aware of the whole X-not-closing situation. I use the HTC Taskmanager (with transparent corner reghack) instead of showcase but I do close things down properly. I am talking about a more systemic memory leak :(
Hmmm ... looks like I'd better look into it a bit further then. Mine is fine for a while (~15M free) but eventually it has got to point where it simply has TMail in the background and it is at 90% used (~5M free)

Take care that you jave to edit the registry too, there are 4 coordinates in it for smartdialing

I haven't tried it, but it seems that is a 1.5 dialer, whith graphics similar to Diamond look. As you are editing phcanrc have you get rid off the bar that appears above the calls when you mimize the dialpad? It is the dialing number whith MS dialer.

You have HardSPL bootloader on there too? Make sure you do otherwise it only takes 1 bad flash to be bricked.
You don't need to build your own with the kitchen(s) in this thread, there are pre-cooked ROMs on the first page and you can just download, unzip and run the ROMUpdateUtility.exe (with the phone on the Tri-color HardSPL bootloader and plugged in via USB).
See P3600i Flashing Tutorial (http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?p=4550781#post4550781) for details steps :)
PS: I am going to have a new version up in a few hours so maybe hold off until that gets posted. ;)

Dammage i haven't Trinity now to test it , can you tell me what are you did for Slot0 ?
The last couple of builds (that I have had time to port) I have been experimenting with different combo of recmod'ing to SYS modules.
Not sure we are 100% optimised yet but this kitchen and all 4 ROMS have no modules in Slot 0.
Here is one of the memory maps (for 6IETIT):
Memory Map...
SLOT 0: 0x02000000 - 0x01df0000 (END: 0x00060000, 0 MODULES)
0x02000000 - 0x01fe0000 - ROM 0
0x01fa0000 - 0x01df0000 - ROM 1
SLOT 1: 0x04000000 - 0x02060000 (END: 0x02020000, 312 MODULES)
RAM IMAGE: 0x80000000 - 0x80276928
RAM: 0x80277000 - 0x802ac000 - Used for kernel modules
0x802ac000 - 0x83a00000 - 55 MB free
I'm not sure this will be a perfect build ... I had to use the GWES from 23049 (as there is a very weird bug with the YES/NO dialog windows in GWES from 23060) ... but it seems stable enough and lets everyone enjoy the constantly evolving 6.5.x UI :D
Also, I should mention that although I did include the 040C (FRA) SYS for 23060, I didn't get time to use the new initflashes.dat for 040C (it will still be just as you built it).
May be try to use Trinity MSOEMkernel and make test with Trinity no "i" users.
Actually I was going to ask if you wanted me to do that and post it to your Trinity thread. Isn't the OEM packages bundle in your Trinity kitchen different at all from the P3600i? Is it really just the MSOEMkernel that is different?
Anyway, I am not at my build PC right now but I will put a Trinity version topgether and post it as soon as I get a chance.
I am glad that my Diamond keypad can resolve this new UI graphic problem , i have this also with my Topaz , will make a try but i must create a new keypad.
Yeah, although it has just as much trouble with SmartDialing as all the the other canvases (man they are all messed up by this new UI in COM3/4  )
I spent a few days trying to hack the phcanrc.dll but never managed to do anything useful to move that smartdial listbox down a bit.
lol, as you may have read I was trying the newer canvas from Mega but not only does it open the dialer on "wake-up" from the power button ... it actually does random calls (to last redial number) every 10-20min
So yeah, I was pretty thankful for the Diamond canvas (the Pandora Blue also seems to work ok).
Thanks!

I am a little paranoid after having to transplant the GWES.exe from 23049 and there are 1-2 other build version that the other chefs are using to replace the faulty 23060 GWES (so there are others we can try instead if 23049 is not a good fit).

Just wait a day or so and I will be posting a Trinity version.
Were you wanting the normal 0409 (ENG) ROMs or a ROM in 040C (FRA)?
Or just the kitchen (with FRA) to cook your own?

 Careful with that method Super ... the hex edit will only fix the bootloader address.
My ROMs are built using the OEM XIP for P3600i and that is different to the Trinity/P3600 (especially the NK that is in there).
Kitchen can be converted pretty easily really (I am going to do it later today) - you just need to replace the KITCHEN-OEM and KITCHEN-ROM-P3600i folder with the KITCHEN-OEM and KITCHEN-ROM-Trinity folders from Chanvi's Trinity Kitchen.
Sorry guys, I will put it together and have posted in next few hours hopefully.

No Rush, and thank you for the heads up! So far, it's running well, but I'll wait till your Kitchen is complete. Again, Very Nice work.

Just wait a day or so and I will be posting a Trinity version.
Were you wanting the normal 0409 (ENG) ROMs or a ROM in 040C (FRA)?
Or just the kitchen (with FRA) to cook your own?
thank you in advance, I'd like a ROM 40c (knowing your talents, is it possible to make one like it)

OK, here is the prototype for Trinity 23060 ... same as the current P3600i Kitchen (obvious modifications required to ervius/htcrt setup for device)
I have only built the 8IEMANTIT rom (1 WWE and 1 FRA) and I am not posting to the first page just yet. I suspect there is a better way to handle the GWES "PushButton" issue and as soon as I get that sorted I will re-package both the P3600i & Trinity kitchens, recook all the roms and update the links on page1.
Anyway, until then here is a working Trinity kitchen for 23060 and a "Full" build rom in both languages. :)

Hmmm :(
So you're saying the ROM update finishes correctly, but then the phone fails to boot? Stuck on HTC screen?
Anyone else tried flashing them yet?
I have just checked with a hex editor and they are definitely using 0x400 boot address ... I built them using the OEM and XIP from last Trinity kitchen (with only Canvas/SmartDialer/VideoTelephony removed). In fact I have just realised that I haven't even used the newer initfashfiles.dat (in WWE)

Hey,
I am really enjoying the ROMs that you produce and confirm that they are getting better, though slower. The larger fonts are gr8!
Could I ask that you make a less resource hungry one, say with Opera as the browser in lieu of IE if this is possible as I am unable to get Opera to work on your ROMs.
There are a lot of apps that are probably not used by a lot and slow the system down.
Perhaps a 'lite' version?
Another request (sorry) what do your anacronyms mean, for example "6IETIT" and "WWE+FRA".

@tchoklat
Yes, the WWE/FRA are just the windows codenames for English and French language on ROMs. This kitchen supports building both because the original chefs (Chanvi93 & oggi) are French. However due to demand I concentrate on cooking on WWE roms for download.
The EXT package bundle codenames (eg "6IEMANTIT") were created by Chanvi as quick abbreviations for [version of IE] + [Manila 2D] + [CHome Titanium]
(not a comical reference to "man boobs" :p )
In the past we had several bundles that had Titanium disabled and so the "TIT" did not seem so redundant ... however I feel it has matured now to the point where it is best to include it and just turn it off in "Today Items" if you really want to turn it back into no frills wm5/6 look.
Could I ask that you make a less resource hungry one, say with Opera as the browser in lieu of IE if this is possible as I am unable to get Opera to work on your ROMs.
I am actually still in the process of trying to optimise these ROMs but it is a complex issue when dealing with breeding-edge beta builds of 6.5.x ...
Start by choosing the non-Manila ROMs and maybe see if the IE6 ROM is any leaner for your needs.
However I am very happy to report that I have just finished uploading a newer (better) version of the 23060 Kitchen and ROMs. The links on the first page will be updated in the next few minutes.
Essentially I have modified all the TSK theme files in 23060 to remove the broken "PushButton" image values (invisible OK/Cancel bug), thus allowing me to go back to using the native 23060 GWES (which seems to have quite good memory management and stability).
I have also fixed up some startmenu icon images and changed the MortScript registration to run from config.txt AutoRun during first boot (so that you won't have it pop up every other time you reboot).
There are a lot of apps that are probably not used by a lot and slow the system down.
Perhaps a 'lite' version?
Yeah, unfortunately a lot of those apps will not slow down the system just by being installed (if you don't run them) ... you will only save "storage memory" by omitting them :(
However, I have been meaning to create a new "ultra lite" version. I will indeed leave out any frivolous apps, but I will also look at things like disabling some BT functionality as that chews a lot of background memory. Things like STK services could also be disabled ... I just need to work out what people consider "essential" in a bare bone ROM.
Give me a URL to whatever version of Opera you are trying to use and I will see if I can cook it in there.
PS I do not see donate boutton that I would gladly use! :)

Well firstly ... Yay! it boots! :D
Everything else we can fix but if the base kitchen I put together didn't make a bootable Trinity then I was stuck.
As for the first boot & customisation, that lengthy wait on first boot is "normal" for these ROMs (as you say, probably due to all the bloat) ... however that customisation problem sounds weird  It shouldn't take that long at all to process the included config.txt as it barely does anything. I did just discover that in the Trinity config.txt there was a call to the HTCBlack.TSK (which I had removed for COM3 compatibility) so may be that was it?
I think for a Light Version, I would try to leave it as "Microsoft" as Possible. No added software, and No removed software. So people can see what Microsoft intended with this build. If you are working on another version, I may try to create this. ;)
Actually that is exactly what I have been slowly trying to work towards ... however because I am still technically maintaining the "Chanvi+oggi" kitchen I felt obliged to not immediately remove anything unless it was incompatible, deprecated or broken. Other than adding Titanium Weather and AT Fave People to CHome, I am not adding anything that Chanvi didn't put there.
That said I have every intention of giving the EXT and OEM setup a complete overhaul ... I just hadn't got around to it yet because I was concentrating on coming up with the best process for optimising the port of new SYS builds.
As I'm sure you know, all the 6.5 builds are very much built for better resources devices than ours and so there is much recmod'ing (and even some package removal) required just to make them run on a TRINxxx.
I want to eventually have a kitchen I have assembled from top to bottom ... so I started the bottom :p
Anyway, I am very nearly finished that bottom layer as I have nice empty Slot0 VM, with almost all SYS components still included, I have changed over to the newer initflashfiles.dat to get back to the "what MSFT intended" setup, and I have built my own Ervius VK to run it all on.
The only thing left now at the SYS level is to identify a few more components that are not viable for our hardware and can be removed (eg: MSTag which requires a higher res camera than we have, VoiceCommand which uses substantial memory with little or no functional benefit, etc).
Additionally I am starting to use Task Manager to examine the memory addresses of all the active modules in use by GWES and shell32, to see if there are any modules I have recmod'ed which then just end up back in SlotO (or worse still RAM) because of "Current process" allocation. Effectively seeing if there are any modules would better recmod'ed than those - to make sure that everything that is always running is in Slot1.
Funnily enough I don't think this kitchen has gotten any more bloated, it is just the newer builds that get a bit slower.

Oh cool! I have been meaning to quiz you about what tweaks you are running in those ROMs of yours.
Question: What Trinity kitchen did you download?? I had removed the one that was linked ... did you find the newer one by just looking in the mediafire folder?
I am very keen to see this modified version you have done ... but as I said, the hex-edit alone ends up very badly on our "i" devices (it may take a few days but then corrupts savagely ).
Any chance you could zip up copy of the modified kitchen for me? Or just an ERV project file (if all you did was disable components)? Or even just detail the changes you made?
Thanks heaps for your help with this Super! My biggest problem lately is not having free time to work on this stuff (I barely slept last night to get the P3600i updating done), so any assistance with the optimising is most welcome.

Thanks again for all your hard work, this latest one is REALLY running well on my Trinity. Memory stays constant at 23-24MB with no effort. I've now installed MotoSurf on it, and it functions like it should. (Pretty neat Home Screen if you don't need a lot of free memory.) If it was just a matter of disabling packages in Visual Kitchen, you can save that setup as an ERV file with the "Save ROM" button. It asks you what filename (using \Tools\RomSaved\ folder by default).
The ERV file is just a text file with the list of all enabled/disabled packages and what version IDs were used for XIP/SYS. You could easily attach it to a post here.
Also, did you change the page pool size? I am pretty sure you and Tomme are using them as low as 4M but I have been sticking with 6M so far because it seems to make more efficient use of that extra 2M that just leaving it as available ram.
Our devices are so drastically short on memory that I figure we will never have enough of it "free" ... so I concentrate on making the OS run stable with ~10M ram free (since it always seems to end up around that mark anyway ) by optimising VM and PP.
EDIT: OK, I have flashed that uber-lite ROM now ... OMG! That is seriously cut down to bare bones
Still curious as to what the full list of things disabled was ... but I suspect that you are gaining a tonne of ram as soon as you ditched CHome and all those BT packages.
LOL, can't say I am a fan of going that lean ... sure it runs really quick but I am basically back to the wm6 I had originally (albeit with a new Start Menu, task bar and window UI elements).
Even still it nice to see the fruit of all my optimising so clear when you strip away all the memory hogging packages that are going on top. Nice work :D
I think I might put together an ERV/EXT config that builds this ROM but give the option to cook the old "HTC Home plugin" into it so that you at least some kind of home screen with msg, launcher and weather widget

I just snuck into the office for a sec. ;)
Yes, I'm using 4MB PP. I've heard that it works better for the Trinity due to our lower initial RAM. I will try one with 6MB though and see what it feels like.
Here is the erv file (change ext from txt to erv). Yes, it is lean, but I was making it so that someone could run SPBMS 3.5 or MotoSurf on it and still get performance. Using your Kitchen as the base, it worked well. It still needs a lot of optimizing (on my part), but I just did a quick and dirty version. I THINK I only turned off items in the kitchen, if I remember correctly.
I notice a couple duplicate icons and such that I will be able to help you track down and remove. And possibly cut down on the folders in the start menu, combine a couple? I also saw somewhere when somebody used Folder icons with smaller images on them so you knew when you were going to a folder as opposed to a program (See attached Icon, this sample is for Communications). Might be a nice touch. I can make those if you know how to enable them?
More tomorrow. :D

Yeah I have tried both but I must admit that I went to 6MB back on older builds when we had lots more memory leakage ... might be worth trialling 4MB again.
I can definitely see the advantage to 4MB PP on these superlite builds where you aren't in as much danger of running low on real RAM and need to turn to PP mem.

Cool, got it. I will load that up and have a look (it helps even just knowing what packages the ROM can live without and still function).

Yes, again I am already in the middle of unravelling all the various app.dat & provxml files (and entries in initflashfiles.dat) that Chanvi had used to do that to the Start Menu.
When I changed over to the new initflashfiles.dat I have inadvertently created a few dupes because of the multiple ways in which they were being relocated in the old kitchen.
You may have noticed that I modified the redundant "Utilities" folder (created by the CHome plugin packagess) into a new "CHome Utilities" and assigned it an icon.
I also want to get rid of "ShortCut" and examine the need for keeping both "Tools" and "Utility". I think GPS, M2D and Internet are useful enough to stay.
Anyway it is a juggling acting trying to reign them all in (especially in a multi-lang kitchen like this where you have to do it for both WWE and FRA language start menu folder structures
You read my mind about the Folder Icons :D
I have been looking for some but not too fond of the ones I have found so far ... primarily because I want to find icons that will look like they belong with the MSFT icons already provided (I don't want to replace everything in some kind of "theme skin" manner, just want to embrace the native wm6.5 icon look).
The way to do it is pretty simple, you actually disabled one of my provxml files that does some of it in your uber-lite:
EXT\COMMON\StartMenu_Icon\files\mxipinit_startmenu _002.provxml
^^^ Disabling that is why your Home, Clock and Sounds icons under Settings-Personal looked a bit oldschool in your uber-lite rom. My fault really ... I should have put that provxml under OEM but I only just worked out what icons needed fixing at the last minute before I uploaded the kitchen yesterday, so it went in EXT where the old broken one was.
EDIT: OK, that's weird - I just checked and you didn't disable that provxml  ... anyway that file is a good example of how to set them
Basically there need to be reg keys/vals (mapping to PNG images) for each shortcut or folder in HKLM\Security\Shell\StartInfo\Start\
Take a look with CE Reg Editor and it is pretty obvious ... it only gets a bit messy with the icons under "Settings" (which are identified by obscure CPL numbers) and some of the important OS icons have their name spelled out in ASCII char numbers (but the icon image filename usually makes it obvious what the icon is anyway).

I will look the provxml file over. Yes, I think that's another example of where settings have been made all over the place to do the same thing. It's too bad Microsoft did not set ALL icons in a single file and just change that file when things change. Same for Layouts, Settings, etc... Should all be in a central place so you don't have to search all over the ROM to make changes.
Maybe it was not MS, but the result of many different cooks getting ahold of these ROMs? Either way, it would be nice to clean one up and make it the starting point for future versions. You are doing great work, and hopefully I can help. As a matter of fact, it might be helpful if others could pitch in? Maybe you could delegate jobs for a number of people to accomplish so each person had less to do? Together, we could come up with a nice clean base?
Then again, sometimes it's easier to do it alone, keep on track, and keep everything as your mind sees it. Too many hands in the Pot and all.
Let me know where I'll be the most help. I may be ADHD, because I tend to bounce all over the place, but I can focus on a task when told what to do. :D

I was actually going to say (in response to your other post about how to help) that it would be good if you could sort out the start menu folder icons and maybe think up some ideas for what apps should go where.
Everytime I have tried to get around to this aspect of the start menu I get soooo sidetracked with some new build bug or other kitchen issue .... then never get back around to it :o
It's friday afternoon here so I am about to go "mostly offline" ;) for the weekend but if I get a spare moment on sunday I will start putting together a dedicated EXT package (maybe even put it under OEM) for all of our Start Menu layout/icon enhancements ... a single place where we can round up all the existing miscellaneous reg's dat's & provxml's and keep track of them properly.
One of my biggest concerns with all this was trying to make sure that it would all work properly in a modular nature so we don't keep having the "jenga syndrome" with our packages (i.e. taking out one app inadvertently messes up the setup of others). But I am pretty sure now that if we come up with a unifying Start Menu layout (with folder icons) and implement that at the OEM package level, we then just need to edit all our EXT app.dat's to create their icons in the relevant folders.
So yeah, if you get finished with making folder icons, I would appreciate your input on deciding what apps should where in the new folder structure (lol, especially all the obscure apps that we may not use or even cook into our "lite" roms).
No hurry though. We probably have until the next releasable build is ready before we need it to go public :)
Thanks again Super!
Cheers,

the.decoy can you make the ROM for P3600?
Hey Sprint. the.decoy mentioned maybe being gone for the weekend. I will say that there will definately be a P3600/Trinity version soon. I am using the Trinity, and it sounds like the.decoy and I will be working on making an organized version using what he's already done. I'm VERY impressed with his organizational skills, so it should be a nice ROM. FYI, this is HIS ROM, and HIS hard work, I'm just going to help weed out some bugs, etc...
Like I said, I use the Trinity, so I will guarantee a Trinity version. Even if I convert the Kitchen after the P3600i version is complete. For the time being, I've been using his Kitchen to cook the ROM, and then I Hex Edit it back to Trinity and it is working fine so far. I would say to use this as a TEMPORARY solution if you really want to use his ROMs.
Is there a particular one you'd like to use? I'd be willing to do the HEX Edit for anyone not familiar with that process. (BUT, beware, it's possibly not as stable as what the.decoy has created. I have not had a problem, but maybe I've just been lucky.)

hi SuperSport, what about memory leak on 6.5? It would be nice to have the possibility to have chome (titanium) included... are you working on slot 0 to be as free as possible?

the.decoy did mention keeping slot 0 as free as possible See Link Here (http://forum.xda-developers.com/showpost.php?p=4687127&postcount=194). Memory has been stable on the ones I've tried. I'll look at the newest Kitchen and see what I can cook up from it. Again, remember this is the.decoy's work and I'm just playing with it. I don't want to take away from what he's been doing. ;)
Edit: Ok, two versions avail. One is using the Kitchen as is. The other is a Very Lite Chome Version. And just to clarify, they are both cooked using the P3600i Kitchen, then I Hex Edited the RUU files. So they may not be as stable as they should be, but they might be. When the Kitchen is closer to a complete version, either the.decoy or myself, or both, will convert the kitchen to Trinity version. Seeing his work, I know you will be happy with the final cleaned up version.
Lite Chome Version:
22.06MB Free Ram
54.01MB Free Storage
Very Responsive. Some Icons don't work, due to the menu layout that will be fixed in future. Keep an eye out for cool future changes to menu. Access Task Manager in Top Right Corner as normal. The.Decoy has made the icon invisible so it works with this version of the OS.

Hey the.decoy, just wanted to let you know that when you return, I've got a treat for you. I took your Kitchen, Stripped it WAY down, and upgraded it to 23064. (NO Ext Packages and only Camera and Lang in OEM!) Everything running on it now comes straight from the SYS, which is pretty all inclusive.
The New Lockscreen works, as does the New Contacts App. Also, the latest IE8 works MUCH faster than the previous one. Still slower than Opra, but gaining headway. No Camera, YET.
I've got it running on my Trinity now, and so far, it's running well. I'm going to play with it tomorrow. I'm babysitting my grandson, so between "stuff", I'll be playing with my phone.

This is the.decoy's P3600i Kitchen modified to 23064. It's SuperLite and not fully functional. If he decides to use it, I'm sure he will make it a really nice ROM. It does seem on the Heavy Side as it uses a LOT of RAM, but runs well. Still NO camera yet.
I've also included Two cooked ROMs from the Kitchen. One for Trinity, and one for P3600i.

Hey guys! Sorry for going off the radar like that ... I was initially just too busy on weekend to get on forum, and then on Sunday night I came down with a real nasty flu. :( Been off work and too sick to even concentrate on a screen at home since then.
I did finally get back onto xda for a few hours yesterday (thanks mostly to Dayquil, lol) and I am back at work today. However taking an unplanned 4-day weekend has got me rather backlogged with work, so I apologise if my progress is a little slow for the next week :o
I did get one good thing done yesterday however ... (see end of post) :D
Thanks for answering Q's while I was gone Super, much appreciated.
hi SuperSport, what about memory leak on 6.5? It would be nice to have the possibility to have chome (titanium) included... are you working on slot 0 to be as free as possible?
While the GWES.exe in 6.5 does seem to keep evolving from build to build, I do think that infamous "6.5 memory leak" is far less dramatic than in the past. There are still the odd bad build versions where it is noticeably bad but now it mostly comes down to properly closing apps (HTC Task Mgr) and effective Slot 0 optimisation.
And YES, as SuperSport mentioned, I have been working on the Slot 0 situation for a while now and I am no longer aiming at the "free as possible" benchmark any more. All my (recent and future) Kitchens will now come setup to build ROMs with ZERO Modules in VM Slot 0.
In short this means I am recmod'ing a very large number of the modules in the SYS packages. All of which then need to be loaded into memory/vm at load/runtime. However I am trying my best to optimise exactly which modules get to stay (and fill up as much of Slot 1 as possible in the process).
Frankly with the tiny 64MB (effectively 55MB) of RAM our devices have available, I don't see any other choice than to make sure the full 32MB (effectively 30MB) of VM in Slot 0 is left free to support the "Active Process" and its memory requirements.
A few apps may seem laggy the first time your run them but at least they will (hopefully) run smoothly :)

Whoa! That thing is stripped naked! hehehehe :p
I suspect you might have gone a little too far and that explains some of the broken things like Camera (remember that even the devices that these SYS builds are ported from did have a bunch of OEM packages too, that are necessary for device specific functionality, eg: camera, gps, bluetooth)
Anyway, it was still a very cool little experiment and it saved me having to do all that downloading/unzipping to get a QVGA 23064 SYS setup :D
One reason it ran so heavy on memory was probably the ~8MB of VM in Slot0 that was being used for modules:
Memory Map...
SLOT 0: 0x02000000 - 0x016f0000 (END: 0x00060000, 53 MODULES)
0x02000000 - 0x01fe0000 - ROM 0
0x01fa0000 - 0x01e10000 - ROM 1
SLOT 1: 0x04000000 - 0x02020000 (END: 0x02020000, 273 MODULES)
RAM IMAGE: 0x80000000 - 0x80279928
RAM: 0x8027a000 - 0x802ac000 - Used for kernel modules
0x802ac000 - 0x83a00000 - 55 MB free
... done!
You seem to have done at least some of recmod'ing I usually do, so I have gone through your 23064 SYS and recmod'ed the remaining modules required to squeeze it back into Slot1 only:
Memory Map...
SLOT 0: 0x02000000 - 0x01e00000 (END: 0x00060000, 0 MODULES)
0x02000000 - 0x01fe0000 - ROM 0
0x01fa0000 - 0x01e00000 - ROM 1
SLOT 1: 0x04000000 - 0x02040000 (END: 0x02020000, 296 MODULES)
RAM IMAGE: 0x80000000 - 0x80276928
RAM: 0x80277000 - 0x802ac000 - Used for kernel modules
0x802ac000 - 0x83a00000 - 55 MB free
... done!
However, that isn't all I did to your "skeleton" kitchen ;) ... since it seems we are now quite actively building ROMs for both TRIN models, I have taken your bare kitchen and used it as the basis for a unified P3600I+TRINITY Kitchen.
This was already in my roadmap for the kitchen anyway, but seeing just how many "hex hack" ROMs you were having to do convinced me that I should get it done before any more efforts get duplicated.
No offence to your "superlite", but I do actually plan to put most of the existing EXT packages back into the kitchen before doing a proper release. However for your own purposes, here is a base to build your own kitchens from - that has all the build scripting, HTCRT configs, XIP and OEMs required to build for either model of the TRINxxx family (no more hex edits required). :D
Kitchen_WWE+FRA_23064_P3600I+TRINITY (http://www.mediafire.com/file/kfjh3jjdlit/Kitchen_WWE+FRA_23064_P3600I+TRINITY.7z) (SuperSport beta version)
I am running on a ROM built from it right now (that memory map I posted above) ... but I must stress this is just a test kitchen/rom  ... it has many many missing features, apps, plugins, etc etc. I am posting it for SuperSport (and any other chef who just needs the Kitchen structure to build on).
LOL, but the Camera works :p (actually that is probably because I put most of OEM back in there, hehehe) ... it just doesn't have an app to start it. The only way I can get the camera up is by going via "Pictures & Videos".
I have dumped your 2 EXT packages and just a handful of example EXT packages of my own into \EXT\SHARED\External_Packages\
My plan for future build is to put everything (in EXT) under \EXT\SHARED\ (unless it is a fix/mod that is either device-specific or version-specific). Then we will choose the "6IETIT" or "8IEMANTIT" ROM flavours by loading pre-built ERV files from the "Load ROM" button (which then enable/disable packages to suit that ROM).
Check it out and let me know what you think :)
Cheers,

WHOA!
I'll report back after flashing, hopefully with something more intelligent than Whoa.
Edit: Ok, the Kitchen is awesome. I don't know how you think these things through. Organizing it into two seperate and yet Singular Kitchens is pretty smart.
When I flashed, it does the Mortscript pause again (1-4 Mins). Not sure yet what that is about. When I use the P3600i kitchen and Hex Edit, I don't get that. Strange??? There is some fixing to be done, as you mentioned, but it's a GREAT start. The Phonepad does not have any skin, just numbers hanging in air, but I've used a phone long enough to remember how it works. ;) The things I see that need work appear to be easy fixes, and mostly asthetic. Thank you for your work on this. I know you don't want to hear this, but I'm already testing 23420 just to see what all the hype is about. :o

Ahh, cool. That mortscript thing is something I will have to check out (these are the things it is hard for me to test when only have p3600i). The way I have done it you do definitely need to tap the OK on the mortscript popup to make it continue ... but it sounds more like you are getting the original bug where it just stays locked on the customisation screen with mort stuck in the background.
Phonepad is like that because I didn't include any kind of canvas package and I think there must be a leftover reg key or two in the OEM that is there to enable the old canvas (canvas enabled + no canvas = white dialler). Anyway I would never release a proper kitchen with no canvas package ... this was just a quick mash-up to get the structure together.
Clearly I need to tidy up some more of the differences between the 2 OEM folders (I actually started building it with an \OEM\SHARED\ folder to avoid any duplication but the kitchen would not support it under OEM - it just thought I had added a 3rd device called "SHARED" lol  )
23420 port? Excellent! I am busy porting 23071 to hopefully do our first release version of this kitchen. Good way to split the workload between the COM3 and COM4 branches
Will post back later today ...
EDIT: Got the SYS ported with a really good recmod setup (slot0 empty, slot1 completely full) ... running a skeleton test rom right now (23071 looks really nice) ... sorry but still kinda wiped out with flu, so not going to get the EXT and OEM finished tonight. :( Will hopefully have something ready and uploaded for the start of the weekend.

I have solved the phoepad too large problem in COM3 build like the latest 23071 from DaG
DL attach folder , replace cprog.exe in SYS-SHARED-COMMON-PhoeRedist, then replace 2 mui files in SYS-SHARED-040...
It work for me with Topaz so i think it will work also with Trinity or P3600i .
Try with my 3 Phonepad completed ( with smartdialing) .
Also i suggest you try to use Resource_Proxy package from Mega if it exist to reduce RAM use.

Oh cool, thanks Chanvi. Will definitely be keen to check out that Resource_Proxy (actually want to go through and try out lots of those Mega packages but just keeping up with the COM3 builds and kitchen modifications ).
I take it this is the cprog.exe from a older build then? No compatibility side-effects from replacing the 23071 cprog?
BTW, sorry I haven't yet sent you that detailed list of module recmod's for the Slot0/1 setup I am using ... didn't want to send it until I was more sure about some of the modules I was choosing. Anyway, the recipe I have used for the 23071 recmod's is looking pretty good so I will just clean it up into a spreadsheet and PM it to you when it is ready.

Yeah I tread carefully regarding COM4 as it is the "bleeding edge" dev branch and clearly they are developing with much younger (better resourced) devices in mind ... and lately most of the time the good changes end up in COM3 within a few weeks anyway.

Yeah, I actually found where those leftover canvas reg keys were ... there are a bunch of HKLM-Security-Phone-Skin keys in the RGU file in OEMAPPS. I will remove them from the RGU (probably transplant them into the app.reg for OEM dialer package) in the release kitchen.
To have working (native wm6.5 2G) dialer you can either edit that RGU, or install AdvancedConfig and disable Phone Skin/Canvas (as Chanvi suggested).
Installing Pandora package effectively replaces a broken canvas with a working one.
Anyway, hang in there and I will hopefully have the new kitchen ready in next 24hrs and you can build off it instead.

In your package there are also some muis, quite critical to replace... they are needed? Or replacing cprog will be sufficient?
Also from what version is this cprog?
About, resource proxy how it will reduce the ram? AFAIK it installs a service which preload images to a shared memory so it goes "faster", so whith so limited memory amount in trinitys I don't see any beneficits using the service, though you will need to install it as it is a depencency for other packages

Thanks for that Super. I do intend to put the new StartMenu folder icons in so that is great.
Sorry I didn't end up posted anything over the weekend ... both me and the wife were still recovering from this nasty flu :( ... did put about 6hrs into it late on Saturday night but I spent most of it bogged down in the boring stuff, like -
dissecting the OEM packages for P3600i and Trinity, trying to work out differences and things that need to be copied between them
testing compatibility of some of newer MEGA packages (for replacing OEM apps with) - not much success there I'm afraid
working out how I broke the camera button - had some success on that front (it was just a line missing in new initflashfiles.dat that copies the Camera.lnk to \Windows\AppButtons\ folder )
So, I still don't have the kitchen ready yet ... but if anyone is desperate to just get the TRIN-prepped 23071 SYS/ROM folders from me I can zip them up for you to put into whatever kitchen you currently have.
@mac_es + chanvi + oggi + anyone who knows
Can someone please help me with a bit of history on these 2 ROM folders (P3600I & TRINITY) I am working with here?
Are they both really WM6.1 native kernel versions of OEMXIPKernel ?
Why does the Trinity Boot.rgu seem to be using the initvmmap.exe trick for mapping the modules used by device.exe, and enabling the DeviceStacks (Slot59) feature, but not for the P3600i ??
Has the Trinity got a 6.1 NK.exe but not the P3600i?
What is the deal with these two WM6.1 "features" anyway? All I can find are a few scattered posts on the entire internet which just seem to cut+paste them verbatim from each other, and vaguely refer to them as making memory better  (yes I have read through this (http://hi.baidu.com/donghaozheng/blog/item/1a0f37db4798196ed1164e56.html) and understand that much but I want to know if anyone has done any experimenting or has more detailed info on utilising them).
Where did we get that list of DLLs and are we sure they are only used by device.exe?
Also, by comparison the Trinity Boot.rgu is also missing the StorageManager keys for EXT Roms (EXT_FLASHDRV) and the mysterious DRM keys (LSOMACORE/LSFilter/TimeWizard.exe)
Sorry I know this is some heavy chef-only kind of stuff to be asking in this thread but I kind of need to know about it specifically in reference to the TRINxxx family of devices. :o

testing compatibility of some of newer MEGA packages (for replacing OEM apps with) - not much success there I'm afraid
working out how I broke the camera button - had some success on that front (it was just a line missing in new initflashfiles.dat that copies the Camera.lnk to \Windows\AppButtons\ folder )
So, I still don't have the kitchen ready yet ... but if anyone is desperate to just get the TRIN-prepped 23071 SYS/ROM folders from me I can zip them up for you to put into whatever kitchen you currently have.
@mac_es + chanvi + oggi + anyone who knows
@chefs: Thanks for your help :)
@everyone else: Thanks for you patience :)
Don't stress on getting it out by a deadline. When it's ready, it's ready. Most people here understand there is life outside XDA. Well, a little life.. ;)
I'd love to have the 23071 that is ready if you are ready to release it, but again, don't stress.
And on all the Heavy Chef stuff. Uh yeah, what he said.
I hope you and your wife are feeling better, and if not, then shortly. :D

Yes, indeed in trinity is possible to use P3600i nk.exe but to avoid to lost internal encrypt keys, you should modify os to get them stored in registry and not in files. (it is a registry key in boot.rgu)
Why does the Trinity Boot.rgu seem to be using the initvmmap.exe trick for mapping the modules used by device.exe, and enabling the DeviceStacks (Slot59) feature, but not for the P3600i ??

It is because the original trinity rom comes whith it. though they are quite useless.
It says to load and keep some dlls into memory when device.exe process is up (everytime)
It is interesting for example if you have a dll associated to a process which is not running everytime...
initvmap initialization in boot.rgu can cause trouble whith 6.5 os, I have remove it. And the last time I take a look into chanvi's kitchen neither he.
Also, by comparison the Trinity Boot.rgu is also missing the StorageManager keys for EXT Roms (EXT_FLASHDRV)
As we cook whith extended flag when we generate the new imgs there is no an extended rom to load, so why to keep a driver loaded to do nothing.
and the mysterious DRM keys (LSOMACORE/LSFilter/TimeWizard.exe)
Whith out this the drm is not working. The most visible issue is not to be able to change the ringtone.
If you use discretix drm you don't need them. I have moved to the drm package.

If you don't ask, you don't learn.
Ah! 23071 is running fast in trinity and the ram manage is good but if trinity goes into sleep mode it doesn't resume.... at least, for me.

@SuperSport: Thanks man. Here is the 23071 SYS+ROM bundle (http://www.mediafire.com/?znmmnzmtqm4) . Since this is from my new kitchen there has been no EXT conversion for CHome, Lockscreen, IE8 or anything else (I am just enabling/disabling those things via the ERV file recipes).
You can fix the broken Camera button (and other button issues) just by editing the initflashfiles.dat (use the internal editor in ervius kitchen). Find the following section and add the extra lines I have put in blue:
; App Button default links
Directory("\Windows\AppButtons"):-File("\x0043\x0061\x006C\x0065\x006E\x0064\x0061\x0072\x 002E\x006C\x006E\x006B","\Windows\calendar.lnk")

A ha! I thought the same thing  (i.e. why device.exe when that is always running, lol)
What about the DeviceStacks (LoadHigh) key? Any use in that one?
As we cook with extended flag when we generate the new imgs there is no an extended rom to load, so why to keep a driver loaded to do nothing.
Hmmm, ok cool.
I am curious though ... because lately I have been thinking about making up my own EXT rom .nb with cabs of all the large apps/plugins which I am currently cooking into main ROM as EXT packages (that way just install them during AutoRun and they will not leave all those leftover files in \Windows\). HTCRT seems to have the option to build final NBH with a EXT rom included.
Whith out this the drm is not working. The most visible issue is not to be able to change the ringtone.
If you use discretix drm you don't need them. I have moved to the drm package.
Yeah that's what I thought ... I guess chanvi had moved those keys to somewhere else in the Trinity OEM setup ... because they aren't in the Trinity boot.rgu I have from his last kitchen.
Ah! 23071 is running fast in trinity and the ram manage is good but if trinity goes into sleep mode it doesn't resume.... at least, for me.
Yes it is mildly disturbing ... I have also seen this happen a few times since 23064 :( ... used to happen a lot when I first started using wm6.1 roms (especially Trinity roms with the nosedive "mod_i" fix on them)
As an experiment I have been avoiding the use of my power button to put phone to sleep manually (I just "lock" it and let it go to sleep by itself). This seems to have stopped it from happening but then again I have also been running some very cut-down roms lately as I am testing combinations of packages in new kitchen. So my evidence is not exactly scientific as yet :o
Thanks again for the info!

There is no reference to the link for P3600 from where you have taken the ROM and converted for P3600I. Can you provide the same?
This thread is for the P3600i variant of Chanvi93's Trinity Kitchen for all. For full details and history of this Kitchen please refer to his original thread:
http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=513421
Whenever Chanvi releases a new Trinity Kitchen, I will try to post the P3600I ported version on here soon there after (or as soon as I can get it done), along with a few of the the more popular "EXT Builds" (package bundles) of that release precooked into ROMs.
================================================== =======

================================================== =======

The link is right there in that first sentence you just quoted?? (BTW, please don't quote the entire first post, that just wasted a whole page for some people  )
However Chanvi now works on a new device so his last Trinity release was 23041. The 23060 release is one that I have ported from scratch myself (for P3600i).
I did try and make a Trinity (P3600) version of the kitchen and some ROMs here (http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?p=4669213#post4669213) ... although without being able to test it myself, it would appear that there are a few small bugs in them.
The new kitchen I am currently working on will build the same ROM for both Trinity and P3600i, but I am not quite finished that yet.
If you read back through the last few pages you will see that SuperSport did actually hex edit the bootloader address in some of my 23060 ROMs (so that it would boot on a P3600). Maybe one of those will be what you are after?

Why in extrom? you can put the cabs in \windows\ folder as well. The ExtRom is another nb to include in nbh, nothing else. You can create the "imgfs" of the externalRom whith TFAT_Image_Editor_1.2.0.14.exe (in this board)
Yeah the original plan was to just put them in \Windows\ but I had the idea of extrom because that would mean even less files in the total file count for \Windows\. It's just an idea I was curious about :o
I guess adding an extrom would waste some of the overall storage mem though wouldn't it?

Oh, I have been using the official Lockscreen i each of the builds (I know about the delay issue but it really doesn't bother me that much).
Not recmod'ing it is definitely the consensus of opinion in the Da_G porting thread.

It is simply, we have a limted amount of storage for: XIP+IMGS+EXTROM
If you use extrom you decrease the available size of imgfs.

I have readed the thread, but I didn't think about its dependency because it fails whithout locking it. I mean, it boots up, I press the power button once to go to sleep mode. Then it fails to resume, in 23052 (and older) it resumes whithout locking.

Hello
I include this soft in COM3 , it's very useful and complete the missing X or OK to close program and other possibility .
Original from Japan : http://soft.photoracer.net/docs/wktask_en.html
I have customized to black taskbar and more , this is my package for QVGA
EDIT: Oups the app.dat is for FR version , just change Menu Démarrer to Start Menu and Programmes to Programs , Outils to Tools in the end of app.dat

In one of those ROMs you were looking at earlier, they were using S2U2 for the lockscreen. That locks the phone automatically when it's turned off or goes to sleep.
I tried a little program called AutoLock which works pretty well. You will find it attached to this message. Good Luck!

Thanks guys :)
The big problem is that all my more recent kitchen files are in the Combo Trinity/P3600i kitchen I am working on. Otherwise I would have just pasted those XIP+SYS files into it and uploaded.
The Combo kitchen isn't quite ready for release because ... well, the more I start to delve into the OEM structure (to examine what exactly is different/better/worse) between the two device OEM folders, the more I was learning about how it all was strung together. Anyway I in the middle of reading/editing every single RGU file in the OEM and moving various files around to tidy things up.
I am very close though. Just absurdly busy with work (at the office) and work (on the house at home).
Quick mention about those two builds ... I have yet to even cook a ROM with the 23081 build (I literally uploaded the moment I finished porting), so if there are any issue pls let me know.
Whereas 23071 is actually pretty damn solid. I have been running it on my phone for 2 weeks now with no crashes at all. There are many reports of issues with it "not coming back from sleep" ... although oddly I have not had that myself.
Thanks all for your patience. I am glad there are so many other active TRIN* cooks at the moment so it hopefully isn't so painful that I am not as productive lately :o

I cooked a real quick 23081 and it's nice. Seems solid. Maybe a bit slow, but I'll try to tweak it a bit.

Cool, how does it stack up against 23071? (I think you had tried that already hadn't you?)
Also, not sure exactly how much speed/ram it saves ... but I should mention that I am slowly building a list of SYS packages that, despite having included them in the SYS bundle, I am disabling (in Kitchen) pretty much by default.
It's basically because I don't need/want them but they do actually work ok and I don't want to be depriving others the chance to use them if they wish (and all of them are recmod'ed such that their inclusion/exclusion has no effect of VM Slot0 anyway).
So far that list is:
Livesearch (not bad but would be more useful if I lived in US)
Skybox (aka "Microsoft My Phone")
Transcriber
VoiceCommand
VoIP
VoiIPOS
WMMoneyWidget
WMWeatherWidget
So yeah, when I say that I am running a 23071 test ROM right now, it is basically that XIP+SYS pack, with these SYS packages disabled (and just the basic EXT packages for CHome plugins and some essential COMMON utility packages).
You may have noticed that I am deleting the WindowsLive SYS packages from these packs and that is because the included version is inferior to the one you can very easily download/install using SkyMarket (and deleting it saves me a whole lot of module conversions). If I can somehow get my hands on the CAB for that version from SkyMarket I might include that instead.

I think it's Very similar to 23071. There's a new Magnifier in the taskbar now and I've heard some other things I don't currently remember. I've tweaked the memory a little and it definitely helps. I'll try to narrow down those tweaks for you if interested.
It's funny, when I cook my own ROMs, I leave out ALL the Live stuff. I prefer to download them when I want them, so as far as I'm concerned, good move. :D I know that's a matter of opinion.
PS: Live Search, (Now Bing), is VERY handy in the US. I do like that one, and usually download the latest version after I flash a ROM.

This ROM is only for the P3600i. Your phone is compatible with P3600 ROMs. You can Hex Edit the RUU File to work if you want, it works pretty well.
PS: The file should be 70.8MB
